I used to live and work on south fox, landed on that runway many a times. North to south landing with prevailing winds out of the west across the sand dunes. Made for some pretty choppy landings / take offs

You should check out some airports in Colombia for the "Should it be closed" series, namely El Dorado at Bogotá, which is quite high and has a funny approach to 31L and 31R, Enrique Olaya Herrera in Medellín, which is in the middle of the city and pretty small, Antonio Nariño at "Pasto" which has some cool terrain arround. And it's 27Km from Pasto

You should try Skyline Airport (1ID9) in Idaho. It has the shortest runway on the planet (even shorter than Saba). The runway is 122m long and it is a private airport.

On a grass field it's easier to brake down the plane; problem is taking off because of the friction, u need more powerful engines to beat that; but overall the greatest danger these islands pose to planes are the dense forests tightly surrounding the airfields, specially the grass field
