I live in Alaska and I can confirm that the info here is true, this is Dutch Harbor on the island of Unalaska and yes Alaska Airlines fly's there and so does Grant Aviation Along with 20KT being usual wind speed also with a 737-200 Mark airlines plane landing, I am into Aviation, good job Swiss ;)
Metrofilmer88 there are 400 public use airports in Alaska, but that is only public. If ya wanna include private airports, then the total 747. I live next to a supposedly “international airport” in the capital. I guess because we get A flight from Canada...
Swiss 001: review the worst airport in Alaska Ryanair: ThIs will be OuR pilot TraiNinG AIRPORT Edit: Ryanair:ThIs will be OuR Pilot TraiNinG AIRPORT even though we live in Europe
Hey Swiss, Just a heads up- It can actually become a series by RU-vid if you start adding tags like let's suppose- #DiscoveringAiportsAroundTheWorld in your video description👍(P.s. You can edit your old descriptions with this tag and they might be counted by RU-vid).
I was just doing a flight in a 737-900 4k from ft Wayne international airport to JFK it took 2hrs 7 mins and atc didn't move a 747 out of the way so I had to disengage the autopilot and do a vertical in a 737 to avoid a mid air collision over New York city. (edit) on final I had a wind shear and a flap didn't deploy which I didn't know or plan so I almost had a runway over run and I started rolling off the runway and stopped right before hitting a building
@@sizzlingsteak5046 dude what did he say and do to you? One time, if you say that to someone else, ur going to get what you deserve. Stop being mean to someone who said a couple of words!
I just wanna say i'm from the small country of Liechtenstein which should make me cool. Please try out Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo Airport in the Maledives. Or any of the small amusing Airpots in New Zealand lol.
The a330 can land at saint barts if you use 100% brakes and 100% reverse thrust and relatively low landing speed, that stop distance of the a330 is pretty incredible
Hey man im a fan for a long time, and i still remember the time where you make videos and you never speak a word, but instead you use texts, love ur vids, keep making gud vids, stay strong, hope u made it to 1mill.
Yes, for about 15 years we operated Boeing 737-200 aircraft in Unalaska/Dutch Harbor. MarkAir and Alaska Airlines. The runway was actually gravel surface and 3,900 foot length. The SAAB-2000 that overran the runway landed with a 15+ knot tailwind. Which put the aircraft over speed for safe landing.
I’m 8 Months late but OMG YOU FEATURED AN AURIGNY LIVERY PLANE ON A SWISS 001 VIDEO IM AN APPRENTICE AT AURIGNY ENGINEERING it’s our local airline and they’re awesome still rocking the turbo props and one E195
All kidding aside, Dutch Harbor Airport on Amaknak Island in Unalaska, Alaska is a pretty big airport, because that's where most of the Alaskan fishing fleet launches from. I turned 18 in Dutch Harbor on a cargo ship, for what that's worth (which is about zero but hey, that's another story)
Hey bro! Can you check the Isla de Culebra Airport? It’s the “practice airport” for St. Barths airport. I think it can be an interesting place to check out!
12:00 yes maybe not to unalaska but condor flies their 767s nonstop from fairbanks to frankfurt and anchorage to frankfurt and eurowings is planning to fly their a330s from anchorage to frankfurt
