So i went here after going 1-3 with a, judging by arena tier lists and such, should be able to go atleast 9 wins. I made a lot of mistakes, i guessed. And yes....your video basically says all of it. Thanks! Subbed.
Hey, I was just wondering what the song was that played in the intro, looked in the description, couldn't find it. Great video, went 6 wins right after watching this video and using all the tips, before i only got about 4 wins.
another hint, keep the fast cards on(spells-removals,charges,buffs) your hand and play the slow ones first(minions with no battlecry). This way you can crush your oppenent in the next turns,by fast clearing his stuff or bringing him low on health.Yesterday i won a mysterious challenger deck on arena(he actually had 4 secrets!!),only because i raced him down in a single turn, with cards like blessing of kings and abusive sergeant..
Hey Amir! Glad you found it helpful! My computer has been having some issues lately, but hopefully I get it working a little smoother. Thanks for watching buddy! :)
I especially love watching your arena in depht commentarys i think ive seen every single one of them multiple time will there be more in the future? Maybe some areneruns with mage or paladin post naxxramas?
Hey Lj very good video as always thanks man ! I have a question for ou if you have a minute : would you play a naked argent protector on turn 2 like you said for the cruel taskmaster instead of summoning a 1/1 recruit ? I agree about the 2/2 in warrior but i think as a paladin you can hold on that argent for potential later value as the tempo loss isn't that big.
Hey Amateur, thanks for checking it out buddy! Argent protector is definitely more valuable than a cruel taskmaster, so you are certainly on to something there. However, yes I would still play it giving the right situation. You can maybe hold back and use your hero power instead of playing the AP if a couple things happen: 1) your deck has a strong late game and can make up for being behind, maybe you have a consecration in hand, etc. or 2) your opponent has had a slow start, maybe he played nothing but hero power himself. The general idea is that you do not want to get behind in arena, because its very hard to recover consistently. Does that make sense?
I just discovered your channel and I really like the way you explain things. You're clearly a very good Hearthstone player, so why did you stop posting videos 9 months ago!?
I'm paying attention to almost every one of these things, but I'm afraid my drafting abilites are lacking in arena... I'm improving, of course, but I still lose most games because of that.
my biggest fail is the draw card, i always do my actions, then draw a card as the final action, or i spam all my moves, hit end turn, and then a draw card comes that i could have used...
thinking ahead is definantly the hardest thing to learn in hearthstone. I started playing in November and ive gotten rank 11 in constructed which i personally think is quite good considering how long ive played, but the mistake i consistantly make is not thinking ahead due to not knowing what the enemy will do tl dr: know ur enemies
I only have an issue with #1. In most situations you can never really know if ignoring a minions will bite you in the ass or not. So I'd rather get value knowing my opponent will need at least one more card to kill my Ogre, than have them get get value. Sure if they are topdecking and anything that would let them do that is rare or higher, then go for the face.
you must NOT ALWAYS draw first, sometimes (rarely) you have to draw not first, i say that cause i took the habit to do that and when you miss a good play you feel salty because of this habit ^^ (im french i hope im understandable)
I believe your channel and stream deserves a lot more viewers and subscribers! Your content is on par with Kripp and Trump imo. I hope your channel grows!
what ever happened to this guy he was making really good content the best hearthstone coaching I can find he also seems to understand gaming fundementals really well
My favorite solution to AoE: Nerubian Egg! Whenever I play with friends or family members and I play that card they just get so mad XD 2 mana for a almost guaranteed 4/4, OP!
i don't really agree with mistake 8# especialy if you already have a card in your hand that can benefit from taskmasters effect ,but ofc you need to consider the type of deck u have and the board control
+veres koppany he was using taskmaster as an example. the whole point was to get something out and put the pressure on the other player. Making them play reactionary to you is almost always better than you having to react to them. the person putting on the pressure is the one controlling the game and the one who is probably gonna win, if they can maintain that pressure.
+rageoftyrael again i repeat my previous comment depends on the deck you have example if your playing a control warrior and enemy was playing (tempo mage) which is unlikly in arena and i know i need taskmaster effect not sure if i will play that taskmaster just to die for nothing even if it involves the other player sacrificing his next turns mana Also dont forget taskmaster effect still needs a target so if you don't have a minion and enemy does just palying it so u can kill it next turn but giving it +2 dmg this turn is stupid So the only somewhat logical play is for taskmaster to be played when enemy has no minions on board in this case personaly even if im playing control warrior /weapon warrior /patron warrior also in arena u propably will play control warrior i will armor up instead of playing the taskmaster since i know that armor won't go to waste , so the only case i would play taskmaster would be if i dont have a 3-4 mama drop in hand but here again you need to consider opponents class above else if he is a priest maybe i won't play it I do understand what you and Lawrance are trying to say and if it was a card like abusive seargant which effect is temporary id agree in playing it at 1st mana or 2 mana instead of using the hero power but taskmaster is just to valuable for me Its the same when you are playing a warlock and you have voidwalker in hand at 1 mana its not always great play to summon it right away since opponent may summon a 3/2 minion at 2 mana having no followup voidwalker is waysted
As a non native speaker, I have a very important question that's been bugging me. How do you pronounce "hearthstone" ? I've assumed that it comes from hearth, thus pronouncing it like heart. But I keep hearing it pronounced like earth. Well, it's not such an important question anyway !
bahaha i make all them mistakes well except the coin one if i dont have a 1 to play then i just pass chances are when im at 6 mana ill need that coin more then when im at 1
+Music Pirate 〈- Electronic -〉 Nope, you just have no idea what you are talking about. You are stuck with people who also no idea. I am a legend player and trust me, some of these tips especially the one about playing around and tempo are crucial for arena(got my 12 wins).
whatever it is , it does help the newbie who have no idea what this game is, if you are a veterian player then obviously this is just basic stuff, but sometimes there are other things in this video that even those who have played for a long time can learn. So please try to be positive :)
