You're right Emma! A today's lesson is really fabulous! I flicked through all of the mistakes that beginner students usually make in English, it's important, as I think.
Emma Emma police response to my question sometimes in the present simple continue some native teacher says the do weekend stadium in present continuous as long as we talking about about action right now is it correct or not because some teachers that that is correct they both agree at the exams you're better not used them?
Would you please make a video about how to improve the writing skills ? Get a high lever of an academic writing . Thank in advance . Love your videos 🙂🌼.
As a native English speaker, it was interesting to see all the intricacies of the language that we just know and take for granted. I can see that it would be very difficult to learn without a lot of care and practice.
Hi Emma, a few days ago I discovered your channel. I am a 54 year old student from Barcelona. I really like how you teach your classes and they are, for my level, very helpful. I congratulate you because you also make it very easy and enjoyable. Thank you
I was missing her wonderful lessons and I knew that you were going to upload another come in handy for us, you always make lessons that my English need, and I feel like I can't express enough how gratified I am. You are my ride or die.
"To revert back" or "to reply back" are examples of pleonasm, which is the use of more words than necessary to convey meaning, either due to lack of style or emphasis.
Well hey there Emma, my dearest English coach! I was looking forward to your new lesson today and I'm happy at present! I can say it bluntly I don't make any mistakes while using English by the reason I've been following your best channel for over five years as from I've come across that a one day! You definitely taught me how to speak and write in English correctly! Thanks a lot for everything! I suppose, there's no more vital 'n' essential for a teacher than gratified 'n' of course, successful students that you can be proud of, isn't there? And I saw your recent Instagram photo with Frankie and I was surprised at how big she was! She's a really big girl, you know!
It's a pleasure! There is nothing better than knowing that you have impacted someone else's life for the better. 😊 I love that my job brings me so much joy! And yes, Frankie is HUGE now! SHe is no longer my little baby 😪 Small correction: Thanks a lot for everything! I suppose, there's *nothing* more vital 'n' essential than *grateful* students that you can be proud of, *is* there?
@@mmmEnglish_Emma Oops!.. sorry Emma I mistook a little bit! But thanks so much for your timely correction! Yes, I knew how I could say this rightly but my flair has let me down a bit!.. I'm watching 'n' enjoy your new video at the moment! I wish you all the best! I'll see you in there soon!
She is the best I have seen! I used to manage a huge English Language School with more than 20 teachers but Ema is the best I have seen. I highly recommend her to anyone.
I've been speaking American English for approximately 60 years and I've never heard or read "revert" used the way is it in this video! When correcting that sentence, I changed it to "I'll return to you shortly." Your sentence seems to use "revert" in the sense of "return to a particular location," while I've only seen it used to describe "returning to a previous state or condition." As with: "One minor setback in his self-improvement regimen and he's reverted to his old habits" or "We've discovered a glitch in the new software update, so we're going to revert to the old system." Thanks for the video!
Oh, in the video I was explaining how it's often used in emails or when speaking on the phone. I've heard this one often: "Could we arrange a meeting?" "I'll check and revert back to you".
@@mmmEnglish_Emma Yes, I understood the meaning -- I just don't think anyone here in the US uses the word "revert" in that way. At least, I've never heard it used that way! In your example here, we'd probably say, "I'll check and GET back to you." So, I learned something from the video! Thanks!
Hi, Emma! 💕 Thanks for jogging my memory in such a fun way! I really like your quizzes, so I enjoyed today’s lesson a lot as always. Speaking of mistakes, gosh, I did it again, like No.10 & 26! I need to break the bad habits, so I‘ll download the worksheet(lovely🌟thanks again!) from now on and review them!!! I’ll do it🔥💪 Look forward to your next lesson! Have a lovely week !😘
Hi Rie! 👋 The first step to improving is to *recognise* which mistakes you need to fix! So, well done - you're halfway there 😉 I hope you have fun practising them with the workbook - let me know how you go! 💛💛
Tomorrow my exam will be held, so i was busy to take preparation on my academic subject but getting notification of your lesson, i couldn't stop me to watch this video🙂🙂
That was great, one more time you realize me that I create too much mistakes in english and of course you are great teacher and you know how to handle these 200 + lesson like a series. I am so thankful to you and that was my luck I found a really awesome teacher like you. Lots of Love from India.❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you found it helpful, Lavanya! I hope you enjoy practising what you learned with the workbook - if you haven't downloaded it yet, you can do so here: www.mmmenglish.com/30commonmistakes/
I have seen quite a lot of people commented on You Tube and they've used: could/would/should of and I was not sure they're wrong or right but I only used could/should or would have so I was kind of confused because I supposed most of them are better than me in term of speaking or writing English, and now after this lesson from a teacher whom I've secretly admired. I now know that they're wrong lol. Thank you so much Emma and have a wonderful day.
Emma, would you like to make a video about the common mistakes in English of native speakers? I'm watching your videos and I've improved my English speaking skills, but it's not as good as I would like to be so I'll continue to watch your lessons. Thank you a lot!
OMG, why is she always so passionate about her job? You always care about other problems. Thank you so much. I always follow your advice. one of your advice for improving writing to commenting on other videos. I often comment and share my knowledge, information, or my problems. Today, I want to say that I can speak to people comfortably without thinking about my mistakes but, when it comes to talking to the camera recording my voice, I always hesitate or can't even talk like I am about to blackout. Please, make a video on this problem. How to overcome talking in English in front of a camera?
Another great lesson. Thanks, Emma! I love your way of approaching grammar with simplicity and your charisma. I'll try the exercises! The mistake with "who" and "that" is one that got me, also the one with "less potatoes". Many details to pay attention to. Hope you are well recovered now to continue teaching us. Bye! :-)
@@mmmEnglish_Emma Good afternoon !. I don't understand the sentence number five; why don't we use the past perfect ?. Is it because of the word "yesterday" ?.
Two years ago I watched your videos and fall in love with you. After two years I am again here with a strong determination to learn English and I am in love with you again.
Thank you for the lesson , to be honest i thought that the correct sentence was " i could pass if I studied harder " supposing that studying comes before passing
Thank you Emma to teach about grammar mistake it extremely good for general knowledge practicing becouse dont know how to use grammars if watch again and again must understand better thank you
Miss Emma, in all seriousness, could you please explain how to use 'headed' and 'heading' properly? Headed (towards) home? Heading (towards) home?! I just pretend they can be used interchangeably
Very nice. The mistake "lie down" and "lay down" is the one that I make the most. So, just to practise: I laid my umbrella down in the landry room Lay your beg down onto the table When I get home from work, I like to lie down on the sofa The lazy dog lay down on my bed
Thank you for the video, at first most of the mistakes seemed quite easy to me and I thought it was intended for biginner English speakers, but then I realised some of these are actually quite tricky and I caught myself doing some of these
My favourite gripe is the use of less instead of fewer. I'm glad you included that clanger. Your statement "I could have passed if I studied harder" might be grammatically correct, but I would suggest that logically, "I could have passed if I had studied harder" makes more sense.
Hi Emma. Can you make a video explaining direct / indirect speech and explain if native speakers of English really use in everyday speech this whole idea of changing tenses or it is only a case of well educated speakers? I would appreciate this.
Emma... Amei esse vídeo... Excelente!!! Muito bom para mostrar as "pegadinhas" e ensinar a maneira correta... Obrigada... 💕🍁🍃🌴🌼🌿🌼🌷🍃🍀🌹🍁🌿🍃🌷🌻🌹🍂🍁🌻🍂🎼🎶🎻🎷🎸🎺🎼🎶🎵💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 São Paulo - Brasil

Hi Emma, thank you for the helpful tutorials. I have already been able to avoid some of my mistakes. Maybe you could also make a video on the question of when to use anything, something or nothing. I am always very unsure about this. I am looking forward to your next post.
Hi Emma, You are my a best English teacher. You are one of the greatest mentors. I am extremely lucky to have a good mentor. I would like to continue my learning with you. I miss you. Thanks a lot to make this wonderful video. I request you to make more such videos.
Hi Emma, I don't know if I'm wrong but I knew that, we can use the word "THAT" indistinctly for persons, animals and things and we use the word "who" ONLY for people or a person but if I'm wrong, please explain it thank you very much in advance, I'll be waiting for your answer.
Hi Emma, you have posted great video lessons . you provide crystal clear explanations so that we can improve our english as well as expanded vocabulary. You rock. Thanks in advance for corrections, in case have mistakes in my comments. take care.💙
