Check out Alabama DB Brian Branch 2022 Highlights! Combining his elite tackling with pro cover skills he will be the first Safety drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft!
He isn’t just a box safety this dude has great field range and can go sideline to sideline with great cover speed. Reminds me of Derwin James and Harrison smith.
Fact u could see it on film. The way he fly in and make a tackle u would think he's only good in the box but if u you watch carefully he have very very good range and ball skills, he is definitely an all around talent at Safety I would love for my Cowboys to pick him up
A great safety but much more than that... will be great at nickel and pass rush is great! He even anticipates the play better than many other players... 2nd round would be a steal.
When the Lions are in pass defense mode with 5 defensive backs, rushing 4 linemen, with 2 linebackers, Brian Branch is going to civer the slot and be an in the box safety. Covering the underneath passes, tight ends, and RB, and spying the run up near the line like a linebacker. And he doesnt miss tackles.
Would love to have this guy in Pittsburgh. He can play pretty much every position in the secondary. And he can blitz. Guys like him solidify your secondary. Every team needs a versatile DB. Didn’t even mention the fact he’s an EXCELLENT tackler. Play making versatile safety. Surprised he’s not mentioned more than he is.
As a bengals fan I’ve been thinking Pittsburgh is the best fit for him for months. My best bud is a Steelers fan and I’ve been gassing this guy up too him. Nickel/Safety role could do what edmunds does but at an elite level
Hey at least we got Sydney Brown. He's much more athletic than branch but not as complete. I guarantee you we would've taken Branch if Nolan wasn't available at 30
