Patrie is by far my favorite ship in the game, sub 30 second reload on 12 republique guns is so filthy, easily drop 200k a match in this thing, the HE is filthy too, basically guaranteed fires and a 15k slap

Monday I got my first Kraken in a Rahman and last night I had 3 ranked games where the final ships were CV'S. Anything is possible, never give up, fight on.

Those 100mm secondary canons are what the french navy uses still to this day. (But on single barelled version, those double barrel secondaries are pure WG fiction) So it's normal to find them on a fantasy cold war/end war battleship

The AP is very good but you should be swapping to the HE more often like when the BBs were hard angled out from you. The stats don't lie: the HE is very good (thunderer level).

i think the whole french line feels this way, JB and burger also just do consistent 8-12k with random cits, and before you know it you're over 200k

Fun fact: patrie is for some reason extremely vulnerable to nose-cits. I played it for 15 games or so and and ate cits through the nose almost every game

The French magic bullets have enough pen at that range that it can punch through the turtleback.

When he shot the hannover, the hannover started to turn in towards PQ, which lifted his broadside out of the water slightly and PQ got lucky enough that his shells went under the turtleback and reached the citadel. It's quite rare on the standard German BBs but possible. I think FDG and Pommern suffer the most from this. It's got very little to do with the pen.

I think you missed a bit of damage by not HE-farming does angled BBs, great game though!

I just hate the fact that they nerfed the guns of the Patrie while not giving the ship a gimmick. I don't want or need a gimmick, but why nerf the reload AND the sigma so much? I don't have either of these ships yet but I played them on PTS quite a bit, and I don't feel the Patrie to be much stronger, except for the increased HP. She actually has significantly worse torpedo protection as well. Repub's own gimmick is its insane reload. In some ways, Patrie is safer to fight against for a cruiser than Repub is.

It is still the second best Super BB in the game (after Satsuma) due to the sheer base statistics and being meta-friendly.

"Equity" demands a reload boost, cause everyone else has a supership buff. OR, you could take the buffs away from the others and expect them to play like SHIPS!
