The Most Dangerous Action Figure of the 1980s: We Had That! In this video, I go over the secrets of this amazing and mysterious vintage action figure from 1981! Created by Mego for their 1981 Love Boat Line, the character of Isaac had a much deeper role than some people realize!

Fantastic! I could easily imagine that actually happening in the G.I. Joe cartoon. Thanks for the laugh!

I absolutely loved that you used those plastic swords from drinks in this video. I did the same thing as a child.

Reminds me of my childhood. I used to mix and match different lines and characters into my own adventures. Great video. 😂

If I recall correctly, didn't Issac help Rick Hunter defeat the Zentradi on several occasions? I hear he was the shoulder to cry on for Minmay after Rick chose Lisa.

I didn't even know they made Love Boat action figures back then. I had Mork from Ork. LOL. He was a favorite of mine. He even came with his Egg Spaceship. Though it is nice to see how you used your Issac figure when you were a kid.

Mork was in my “toolbox” as well!

had 3 of the 3 3/4 ones in this video. I got all kinds of Star Wars sized figures in the 1970s and 1980s. The Butch and Sundance and Lone Ranger lies were reallly cool, Sundance has a quick draw feature and I still have the old figure minus his legs but he can still quick draw@

Kids today really don't get to experience the creativity us 80s kids did with our toys back then.

I so wish I had Issac back then. He was cool but I never saw him in stores. I cheered at the Cocktail Swords

These guys were slightly bigger than the 3 3/4 figures but Crystar Moltar and D&D Warduke were used with my figures back in the day. Again nice job with the pics!

All joking aside, I always enjoyed using various action figures beyond their intended purposes. Like, Death Star Droid was a pretty major villain in my Star Wars play.

On the subject of using cocktail sticks as swords, my parents had one of those 1960s sets of 6 metal cocktail sticks in the shape of swords that came in a circular holder or rack. They were the perfect scale to go with the Matchbox Fighting Furies figures and could also make any Mego 8" figure a little more dashing! We couldn't get a Mego Star Trek Sulu figure in the UK, I don't know if they made one at all, but one of the metal swords was a fencing foil and would have made the perfect addition to a shirtless Sulu figure! Hell, give the Klingon the saber cocktail sword and you've got a violent duel right there! 😂

Love Boat Issac and The Shining were my first ideas in my child mind as to how cool bartenders were. I eagerly awaited becoming an adult so I could order drinks from a bartender.

Tonka had a great line called Steel Mashers in the mid 80's. It was a blatant rip off of The Road Warrior, with awesome metal post apocalyptic vehicles. One of the figures even looks just like Lord Humongous, which Is the one I had as a kid.

I never knew Love Boat had action figures. I thought He-Man wld be the most dangerous figure with those strong ass hands. 😂 I love that original Stormshadow.

The only Luke Skywalker I ever owned as a kid was the Hoth one, which BARELY qualifies as a Luke, so Duke was my go to stand in while playing Star Wars, and you'd better believe MANY of those neon toothpick swords were used as lightsabers BAY BEE!! Nice to see I wasn't alone on that.
