Kingad sure won that fight but twas a good match th Japanese faded later on the 2nd round from those vicious stomping kick and Kingad had a lot of takedowns.

Oblique kicks to the knee are about as cool as groin kicks. Dudes knee is going to be sore the rest of his days because homie was getting smacked on by the boxer in the start of that fight.

If it can be used in a real fight then you should find yourself a way to avoid it. That's true even for eyepokes, groin strikes or headbutts.

@@sotnasoigres315 Stomping kicks to the legs and finger jabs to the eyes are two core wing chun strategies and both are frequently devastating in MMA matches but somehow the art is useless and wouldn’t work for self defense, lol😂

But this is entertainment and not actual combat on the streets or a distant battlefield. Removing some moves to protect athletes is pretty common in sports, for example no kneeing grounded opponents, no rear head strikes, and no small joint locks are allowed since they are too effective for disabling an opponent. People would spam these attacks over regular attacks if they were allowed, so it’s important to balance the entertainment value and the damage a cage match has on the fighter. I personally want fighters to have more simplified fights over fewer “realistic” but damaging fights.

red short's eyes when striking is he looks down at the mat seems like striking randomly, with a short reach no wonder he always lost in a straight up fist fight

Forward Angle Kick to the knee or Cross-heel stomp kick to the side of the knee will destroy anyone even in a real fight. If I wanted to hurt someone, I could seriously end a real "life or death fight" in one kick like that.
