At first, I thought she was only brought in for the lgbtq premium by looking at her clothes, but he really performed very well with her young age. What I find so funny is the fact that Switzerland wins the contest the year in which the stage is actually a + symbol just like their flag.

y'all better stop hating. this year both the winner and the runner-up deserved the win, you cannot deny it. i was supporting baby lasagna from the moment he was chosen to represent croatia and he never stopped being my personal winner. but there's no way y'all see nemo's performance and go "they cannot sing" or "this song is bad". nemo's song is phenomenal and their vocals are perfect. their personal style is different but it doesn't make them less of talented artist. and their gender identity is not something grown adults should bully them for. nemo is like the sweetest person ever and doesn't deserve the hate.

I am still very impressed how Nemo didn't get hurt doing all the performances on this Plattform, but almost instantly broke the trophy and a thumb after winning.

Top class singer, vocals are outstanding. All this choreography plus singing at these notes, he’s a beast. Song is amazing and mostly the orchestra part.

He deserved. He did rap, opera and pop at the same time. Even though he ran, his voice never trembled.

This was not my favourite but it’s an impeccable performance, they rap, sing opera, run and swirl around at the same time without even noticing their breathing.

Singing these HIGH notes while they spinning running climbing and doing ALL THAT thing in that platform IS INSANE for me. Actually when i listened to the song a second time i was like, they rapped, they did opera AND pop, all these up there!! That's brutal! Just for their amazing performance and staging and that incredible versatility of its voice, they deserved the winning. It wasn't unfair. INCLUDING its amazing personality and character, which is the most important!

Any professional in the industry would tell you that this is by far the most technical and richest performance out of all the competitors. The jury is not mistaken here. Pitch mastery, vocal control and style technique (lyrical / opera, scat, pop), musical diversity with variations in rhythm, intensity, interesting harmony using tritones without a melodic fluency breach (at least for a pop song), original yet catchy melody (especially the refrain) which people can sing along. And that is ONLY the theoretical skills the song implies. The performer here does it with such a perfect mastery that it seems to be EASY. Not a single off-pitch note, perfect attack, intent, vibration, velocity, whatever the technique used (scat apart). Very fast tempo, meaning the vocal technique has to be flawless. Jumping, running, staying in equilibrium on a moving platform spinning on itself (he definitely is a dancer, he always manages to stay in front of the camera), without anytime seeming to be catching his breath or suffering a drawback from the intense performance. None of the other performances were at this level. As someone who works in the industry as well, I can tell you especially vocalists are all in awe. If all you have to say is about sexual orientation / gender / outfit, it also means that the performer made you forget how hard it is, and this is where you recognize mastery. Also, from a more social perspective, artistry is filled with people with a singularity who need to express how they feel and see the world, they are here to interrogate boundaries, whether it is to our preference or not. Therefore, lots of social outcasts or behavioral dissidents are in the artist world. So LGBTQIA+ people, who need their voices to be heard so that they can exist, are definitely going to be more represented in the artistry world. And that works with all minorities. I can tell you that in this industry, you are forced to be tolerant. Even if it sadly can be a door open for all kind of abuses on people as well.
