Underrated buff from tanden renki, while makoto cannot block, the opponent will literally forget that they themselves CAN block. Hope this helps.

5:33 a very important part of this super is the fact that the startup has a disgusting amount of invincibility AND you can cancel the startup. So if you activate super you can use the screen freeze to see what your opponent is doing and if you recognize a button, you can immediately cancel the startup and input a guaranteed parry into punish. If you don't see them doing anything, you can just let the invincibility rock

i love how ibuki and makoto are "rivals" in this game. they're both offense characters that use different methods. ibuki with high hit counts and makoto with just beefy hits.

Fingers crossed, we eventually see Makoto in SF6. I love her design, and she looks so fun to play

Parrying during Tanden Renki should charge the meter and extend the super a small amount.

This game is why I love seeing Makoto players. The really skilled ones display some of the most technical matches you’d ever see with a nice balance of offense and defense; especially defense because their parrying skills are so phenomenal!

The more and more I study Q,the more I think that in the end,he could've had 3 really strong supers.But instead he got a shittier version of Makoto SA3. I desperately want Q back,the OG Q. G is cool,but I never fell in love as much with a character as I did with Q.

Makoto is my favorite SFIII character. Her moveset is so brutal and hard hitting. It's awesome. And 13:42 was SICK. You countered the TR perfectly. Noice

To answer the question at the very very end: Yes. The people always want to see the urban legend SAs. They're like actual myths, they're not real until you see them in action.

I'm not subscribed, but when you show up in my feed I watch it. Your videos explain things on a low enough level that I appreciate it. I played a little bit of Marvel vs Capcom, and went to college with a guy who lived close to General AKA and I went over one day. My god. Playing against a tournament level person humbled me, but the guy taught me a bit too. Showed me how to counter and parry and I got a tiny bit better. Watching you feels like him teaching me again.

I'm glad you put that on RU-vid. I like seeing Makoto and I like seeing people losing to underestimated characters or moves.

From my experience using Makoto and SA3 1- take the game to a moment where the damage to the opponent has dropped to half a bar or a little less so that SA3 ends up eliminating the entire bar since it is an SA for victory 2- Think of the optimal combo to win in that little moment that Makoto turns into a unstoppable train... If you are good with the parry to respond to the possible counterattacks 3- Taunt as many times as possible that small damage buff can be added to the increased damage of the SA3

Don´t sweat JM, quality is always better than quantity.

Love the 3S content. I've started dabbling with another buddy who has no experience and we're having a ton of fun just doing simple timing mixups and such. The game holds up really insanely well.

I love the animation for it more than anything tbh. She pulls a DBZ "scream at the top of your lungs to power up" moment and goes sicko mode. Its super simple but the way its animated and executed is great. You can really FEEL her getting fired up.

I used her second super when I first started playing Makoto, but eventually moved on to using Tanden Renki, pretty much exclusively. Once it comes out, it's pretty much a game ending move 😂😂😂

Casual Street Fighter fan, here. I'd say Sakura, and yeah to your point Juri, are higher up on the "the casuals know them" tier list than Makoto. IMO that is mostly because those two have been in more recent games. And yes, put Makoto in SF:VI

In 3soe if you turn on the multiple supers and super into super cancel dip switches you can cancel SA1 into SA3 and get a juggle

i'll say the same thing i did 20 years ago when i saw this super for the first time - if parrying in this super after the install regen'd the timer a bit it would be the best super in the game.

I think this has decided it for me. I love Makoto and always wanted to get good with her, but the best-in-choice SA2 really put me off, mostly because the combos off of it were just so damn rad and did so much damage that they seemed basically necessary. SA3 seems way more in my wheelhouse.

Never played street figher. Never had an interest in playing street fighter. Don't know any of the characters of street fighter outside of the ones in MvC. But I love watching the street fighter content that you and Justin Wong put out. Almost makes me want to pick it up on fightcade (which I downloaded because of this channel lol)

One of the big issues is that there’s a bunch of hit grabs that can normally be blocked but can’t be parried. So Oro for example can just hit-grab into hit-grab over and over again and there’s nothing Makoto can do because she can’t block it and she can’t parry it.

3rd Strike is my all time favorite vibe and animations of any SF game.

I know its not necessarily your choice of who you fight, but i like the fact that ur highlighting unusual match ups or high level play of unusual charcaters like Twelve...it makes the videos a but more interesting then jus a "meta" match up

I dunno about Makoto, but for Ibuki I am a huge fan of SA2. Comically huge damage and 1 frame startup makes for a great, terrifying mixup tool as well as a quick but flashy super.

Since the time I've subscribed, I would say I have watched more videos NOW than before, So I do think is better to have less videos per week but better quality and more interesting 😁

Honestly this super is beautifully designed imo. That conversion off the grab at like 65% into death was crazy. There's a comment that you can use it to parry. That was really cool as well. The weaknesses seem more like a way to direct the player on how to use it. Strong tools tend to be versatile and splash able, but I actually dislike that ideal of design. It makes those tools overcentralizing and leads to staleness.

My fav player and I want her back so bad. Haven’t played street fighter since 4. I used the ninja girl. So it’s been too long without Makoto.
