last time I was early we were still joking about "embarrassing girl story"

I remember watching a grand finals once where Isai dominated the first 2 games or so with luigi which commentators stated was considered a low tier character in Smash 64. Well it turns out, Isai switch to Donkey Kong and started doing bad and ended up losing. When he was interviewed he was asked: "why did you change to Donkey Kong?" to which he replied in the most chill manner: "cause I hadn't played him all day".

"Don't get hit..." Isai's story is one that makes me very emotional. I feel like very few people have such a strong spirit, particularly when it comes to smash. When Isai plays smash because he wants to, it's one of the most genuine things I can imagine someone doing.

"Don't get hit" hahaha that is such a meme. This story got to me, though. Sure, he must've practiced a lot, but the guy must've had talent to be that good. Yet he... just want to have fun. Enjoy his hobbies (hiking and playing SSB) and having friends. I can relate to both. Sometimes is just hard to enjoy your hobbies when you're "forced" into solitude. It's hard when you're shy or have high sensibility and everything affects you more than normal. That also messes with relationships such as having friends. And it's also why something as "simple" as having friends, can turn into a life goal for some people. I feel Isai, dude.

As an og FGC dude, but not on the smash side, I gotta say I loved this video and insight on OG smash. I saw alot of these guys while I played Guilty Gear and Street fighter, going to their smash pools, and to think how we were all so similar is awesome. I always wished to have friends like you guys. In terms of personality and all of that, I am similar to most of these guys. Damn, I hate that I only came across people that were the polar opposite of me, outspoken people, popular, extroverts, and even though I got along with them, I could never call them actual friends, just close acquaintances. I could never share private details with them, have my type of fun with them, I just felt like tagging along and doing a few things they usually did, because well, at least I had people to hang out with. But...I still felt lonely around them, because I felt like I didnt belong in that group. Now, I am super grateful for because I met one dude that is really similar to me, and we became friends fast. Even though I know I might not be his best friend, I know we are great friends, Im grateful for that bond we share and for the first time in my life I can count with an actual friend, and Im happy that I can share my likes with someone that gets them and understands me very well, like videogames and eating your goddamn Pad Thai in peace without saying a word from start to finish.

Heard through the grapevine a hidden story about the crew battle. He had a 2 T-shirts (one for him and apparently another for Ken). Ken didn't really wanna wear it, but if they won the crew battle they would wear the two shirts matching. Isai was really playing to wear t-shirts.

How many of relate to Isai’s story? We have separated parents; family’s not too close; Mom works a lot; Dad comes and takes us to a nice place, but after 12, in my case, the style is completely knocked off and I have to go endure the teenage phase. I’m happy now that I am basically mature and life is less visually harming.
