everyone in the EDM community had the "launchpad phase" whether you wanted to get one or you just watched launchpad covers daily for weeks, we've all been there
well actually the pad puts your taps on the next beat for you - you cant press off time, you just have to make sure you press the correct ones before the beat
You plus ur computer to the launchpad and make sure you create a pattern and touch the keys in the exact order of how the beat goes accordingly. This dude did it perfectly and has has good memorization!
My next project will be very complicated (more than Flying Spaghetti Monster)!! I am not sure if one Launchpad is big enough. So what do think about to play with a Launchpad Pro AND a Midifighter 3D? There also will be a Projectfile for you!! ;)
+SOUNTEC i think you should only use a launchpad, because if you release a project file not everyone will be able to fully play it, because not everyone has a launchpad AND a Midifighter :)
I completely LOVE Launchpad players who actually press lots of buttons, not like the ones who have those preset sounds all ready--you know what i mean. Watch some other launchpad players do songs and you'll see that people like Soundtec are just truly Godly.
YUS, I was watching the omfg preformances and ew.. They are SO HORRIBLE no skill at all, that's why I agree that This is the most amazing one ever. I'm getting a launchpad and my friend said he'd never be proud of me till I can do this.
Starting to think that they just add the music to the launchpad, and whenever they click a button, the music goes, so it doesn't matter what they click. Or.... They're just skilled and illuminati has been CONFIRMS,W RD1!1!1!!!1!1!11!
+Red Crafter yeah good point i noticed that too, but maybe by using an instrument rack on one button of a drum rack he inserted 2 sounds in one button. if you look the most bottom button on the left (basically the first button of a launchpad) corrispond when there's the "ehy!" sound, but only the second time he pressed it, so maybe he used an instrument rack to put 2 sound on one button (yeah i knowm sorry for the shitty english lol)
Amazing how you remember all the sound and finger positions! You've got the timing and co-ordination nailed so I really think you could play any instrument if you can play a Launchpad like this.
Alexander Geiss I didn't mean he could pick up any instrument and play it straight away without any practice :-) But he's got rhythm and amazing coordination between both hands, and an understanding of music, and the dedication and commitment to do something like this Launchpad performance. All of those things would stand him in good stead to play piano or guitar. I started on piano as a kid, and have since played guitar for 25 years... My time on piano made learning guitar a lot easier, just like this guy's Launchpad skills would give him a big head start on piano or guitar.
I'm sorry to tell you but he's just pressing the buttons over a pre-recorded song. He's not controlling the timing of any sample with the launchpad, it's just for show. This kind of timing is not achievable by humans. You can clearly see this when he misses finger presses for drum rolls but they still play.
At 0:16 for example, but you can see it throughout the video if you look hard enough. His rhythm doesn't line up with the rhythm of the song, nor does he press the buttons the correct number of times. Just watch some good Stepmania, Lunatic Rave or Osu!mania players that have been playing rhythm games for years. None of them can, or will ever be able to do this, despite being the best in the world, because this kind of timing is impossible. All electronic music has and also requires perfect timing all the time, if it wasn't absolutely perfect, you'd immediately be able to pick up on it.
To me this is pure magic coming out of your fingers! I'm very impressed by the fact that each finger in each hand is doing something different yet coordinated! What about making a video about your story, when did you start? What did you use? How long did it take you to become this good? Thanks!
Tranto The purpose of his projects is for difficulty not lights. The colors of the lights show what stem they were on. (Stems are layers of music in end or anything done with computers)
For those who say this is fake, you are forgetting that's possible to add the same sample to another button and you can play two or more samples (one for each click) in the same button.
I suppose people should know this or perhaps they do not know how a launchpad works. But they are saying that this performance is fake just because the "hey" is listened when he do not press the "hey" button. But if they pay attention, he press another button to the "hey" sample.
Launch Have you thinking perhaps he can not or does not want to share this project? If you do not want to loose the ownership of your work or if you do not want to break copyrights, you can not hand over your work publicly. Think about that.
This song... WOW! It's missing the parts in the original song that I hate so much... Listening to it non-stop bass boosted. (Not like a reupload, I have a thing that boosts my bass in EVERYTHING!)
This is honestly the only dubstep song that makes me understand what old people think of dubstep , I love dubstep with all my heart but this sounds p fucking just hit random shit and recorded it
+Chris Martinez It's fine if you don't understand of appreciate the song, but for one to say that producing something like this doesn't take an ear and some talent then that's pretty ignorant. But maybe I'm just preaching to the choir, considering the fact that 80% of YT retards are exactly this.
+Chris Martinez Nothing random with it at all doe. Kinda fun when some ppl think music production is less hard than just playing a instrument in a band etc. You need a broad skill set for music production and if you wanna make money you need to be many roles.. not just a instrument player.
Amazing gig! Just wondering, if you want to load up this project a few years later. how would can one be able to play the same again? For a song, there are notations and ways to record, but is there any, incase of such music too? Cheers mate
