5 Miles of Hell. Is it the most difficult singletrack dirt bike trail in Utah? I did this trail solo. (Not recommended) It is a very technical and a very challenging trail. It is a combination of rigid sandstone and sandy washes. The early settlers called it slickrock because of the low traction between horses' metal shoes and the rock's sloping surfaces. On the flip side it offers excellent traction for rubber tires. It could be called griprock. Upon my Yamaha WR250F motorcycle I was in first gear most of the time. In this video I will show you how difficult the trail was for me. Also, I will share some of the things I learned to be more prepared for the next time I tackle this trail.
If you choose to do this trail, BE PREPARED! Make certain your bike is in tip top condition as well as your physical stamina and endurance needs to be ready for 5 Miles of Hell or it will be just that.

"My riding buddies told me not to do it alone." *_Proceeds to do it alone like an absolute madman_* I hope to be half the rider you are someday! 😂😂

LOL! If I sat around waiting for my riding buddies to go with me to do this trail, I would still be sitting around waiting for my riding buddies to go do this trail.... The trail is AWESOME and I can't wait to do it again. It was by far the most physically exhausted I have ever been while riding a motorcycle.

Thank you. It is a very challenging trail that is non stop fun. After about 3 hours of riding 5 MOH with very little resting I was physically depleted.

It almost makes me want to do it. However I would totally do it on the TW200

Just curious you lugging in 2nd or 3rd gear, I found 1st gear to be pretty much useless on my WR250F. Nice riding!

WOW! you have marked dirt bike trails!!! Where I live the hikers carry baseball bats.

A lot of trails in my area, but not all, will have a sign with images of what is allowed on the trail. Some single track allow hiking only, some allow hiking and horses, some allow hiking, horses and peddle bikes, and last but not least some allow hiking, horses, peddle bikes and motorcycles. I’ve never encountered anyone packing a baseball bat on the trails, but occasionally I’ll sense that they wish they had one. 🤣

@@Rally_ADVentures (really was kidding about the bats) You have such natural beauty out there, I'm planning to cross the USA next summer or in 2024. Hopefully, I'll live that long!

@@savage22bolt32 🤣 it’s the spider senses that suggest that those hikers (horse riders) have vision of flailing a baseball bat at motorcyclists. 🤣 I’m in Utah. If you find your way out here and have a day or two or three. I’ll show you around. Keep in touch.

Now I see why you put a larger sprocket on to get lower geared for 5 mi of hell.
@Rally_ADVentures
@Rally_ADVentures 2 года назад
The larger sprocket definitely helped. Taking the choke out of the air box helped a ton with the low end torque also.

What tire pressure did you run for this?
@Rally_ADVentures

12psi rear and 14psi front.
