No team was hyped up as much as the broncos were this season when they acquired Russell Wilson. So I would say they would be the number one disappointing team this season

As a broncos fan, I agree. This season has been the most miserable of the last 7 because this is the first time in that period that we had any sort of expectation for a winning season.

Considering they've gone through how many QBs and still try to run plays that are meant for pocket passers and good O-Line....yeah I'm not shocked that Wilson isn't having a good year at all.

The whole AFC West was super hyped, yet the only two good teams from there were the two that did the least in free agency. It just goes to show that you can't buy or trade for wins, and don't even get me started on that Josh McDaniels hiring (and I'm not even a Raiders fan).

the offensive line is one of the most important things in football. if you look at all the bad teams their struggles are mostly their offensive line. it’s a very underrated part of the game imo.
@thhndy
@thhndy Год назад
true true, but i would say that the o-line is becoming more noticed as an issue in the nfl now. with teams like the chiefs and bengals losing in the SB because of terrible o-lines, people are becoming more aware of how important it is.
@kennycai8695
@kennycai8695 Год назад
Unfortunately, that right there is the problem. Offensive linemen are the unsung heroes of the team, providing protection for the QB, and the only times you hear their names is if they make a (rare) big play or someone commits a foul. Given how sports media swoons over quarterbacks and wide receivers (cause they LOVE deep ball highlights), you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out why the O-line gets overlooked.

Russ may be the second most valuable round 3 or later player ever. 1. Being Tom Brady, in which he was able to give a franchise 6 super bowls and good qb play for 19-20 years. If he was traded after his third super bowl, he'd probably have fetched 4 first round picks in a time where first round picks were valued mire than they are today. 2. Russ. In which he fetched for what's essentially the value of 3 first round picks and a second round player in trade value. And he got his team a super bowl. And he gave them steady QB play for a decade.

My Raiders by far. Came into the season off the most chaotic 10 win playoff season possibly ever and added talent. Then watched as they set records for collapsing in the second half. And now they’re getting rid of the QB who led them to the playoffs, potentially losing Josh Jacobs to FA, and we the fans have no idea what’s going to happen after this season other than Josh McDaniels will be back. With honorable mention to the Denver Broncos who some had going to the Super Bowl.

My Pats are half disappointing, half weird this season, who knew that a few coordinator changes would flunk a team and make Mac and Bill look Vulnerable. That with a defense actually looking better than the usually offensive minded Bill. Imagine it getting so bad that we're clinging on for Bill O'Brien or McDaniels to come back. This is why you don't hire defensive minded people to focus on the offense unless he's super talented on it. This is also how coordinators work when they're used correctly.

But it was becoming evident that his play was slipping a little and he was becoming more and more of a diva, to the point where his own teammates started calling him out. Wouldn’t say the cardinals season is disappointing. Although I expected a playoff berth, the young guys on the defense have been developing into absolute dogs. Zach Allen, Zavien Collins, Isaiah Simmons, Marco Wilson, Byron Murphy… (the cb room has been locking down wr’s.) The problem has been our incredibly injured offense and defense (and the weak pass rush). I suspect the cardinals will trade Rodney Hudson and a few other veterans to double down on an o-line or pass rush.
