Logical Technology Gary Anderson always moans when he is beaten,he moaned about something when Daryl Gurney beat him in Dublin,I think he wants his opponents to play at the pace he decides.
But I think every player wants to play the game which suits him, and I think Gary is one of the best loser in the game and also smiles after a defeat except the other player played unfair or provoked him
This year’s Tournament has started off very well. Well done PDC, Laura Turner a great shout & excellent commentary. Shout to Gerwyn Price, a great interview & respect for Mikuru Suzuki. He is now learning, the other side of the modern game.....respect.
I used to not like price but now I do I would rather have him than Anderson 'no need for Anderson getting his back up 'glad price done so well 'come on the ice man well done
Darts can be boring to watch, I like the gladiator persona Gerwyn brings to the game. He reminds me of a Rockem Sockem Robot that just knocked your block off when he does the body builder pose lowling like a great ape. I wouldn't invite him over for dinner but I'd drink with him.
Thank you for uploading this! This was one of my favorite matches ever, and I’m glad Gezzy simply kept getting better after this! No matter what you think of the actions of Price and Anderson, you must admit it was must-watch TV! As an American and relatively new to the sport, i couldn’t take my eyes off the screen.
@@young321bookie you mean when price celebrated like a prick and moved it to the space where Anderson was about to stand to throw his darts? You know, the oche area? Fucking hell man 😂
@Modest Mouse you mean like every MvG match? Gary choked the match away. Show that hes weak, cant handle adversity. Notice how he started bitching about everything after this loss. "back pain" my ass, he has the money for 1st class medical treatment, im know for sure ive dealt with back surgery 3 times. He is a weak & thin skinned human being. Im not a Gerwyn fan but its true. You can argue the 2 championships but that was years ago.
True, but tbh if he didn’t do this then I don’t think he would of won this match. This was the biggest game of his life and at the time looked possible to be the only major final he would get to (obviously has continued the form but he wouldn’t of known that) so I think he is in his right to do anything he can to win this match. It may be a bit of a scum move but in the end of the day I believe that won him the title and I don’t think he will have too many complaints afterwards. However if he would have lost he would of looked like a dick lol
He’s great for the sport and one of the most exciting to watch. If you like to watch Peter Wright look like a prick with stickers and paint on his head fair enough but not me.. I like the passionate character of the sport..
got to say that this is one of my favourite ever matches, you can hate gerwyn all you want but you cannot deny the entertainment value. we need characters like him in the game!
Nothing wrong with that win. I have watched it many times and Anderson initiates the hostilities by encroachment, it would, and has, pizzed me off too.
Yes, Price has overstepped the line a bit in the end. But to be fair, Anderson was the one who started the 'fight' in the earlier stage of the match (I think it was after his 7th leg or somethink). Price was just walking away not doing anything when Anderson said something to him that must have been upsetting.
Was looking here for the clarification on what happened @25:30. But indeed after whatever happened there, Anderson unleashed the dragon inside the iceman.
except you can talk all you want. you can't touch anyone else though. so, to be fair, price started it when he bumped into anderson while he was celebrating like a moron.
I think this is all on Anderson. I mean, just get it and keep it together you grown man. That being said, they're my two favorite players. Very different stage presences.
Stuart Pyke at the end of the first leg. "It was a magnificent response by Gerwyn Price but he won't want to take the crowd on" You sure about that Stuart?
Anderson showed weakness by even interrupting before throwing his second dart. After that he also started stalling and celebrating the same way... like pryce cared. Anderson only beat himself imo
Anderson se dejó sacar del juego..... price lo trabajó mentalmente y lo llevó a su terreno y aparte de eso fue mejorando mucho en sus lanzamientos.... espectacular partida
John Part said Price was in the top 8 in the world. Probably well deserved, but his antics on stage (in my humble opinion) put him in the bottom 8. Throw your darts, go get them and celebrate AFTER you win the leg/match. People call it "class". Just my opinion.
@@modestmouse7 It would appear you've never watched darts before this game. Good God man, I'll tell you what it's lucky for you that you don't have to pass an IQ test in order to leave a comment on here or you'd be left very frustrated!
Boldizsár Buza Gezzy deserved it 100% more cause 1. He did nothing wrong 2. Gary didn’t win the game, you don’t deserve to win unless you win (at least that’s what I get told a lot) and 3. Gerwyn got the better of Anderson both on the dartboard and the fact that Gary didn’t like the celebrations
This has nothing to do with entertainment, the sport itself covers that. Sportsmanship is what a real fan wants to see. Price is trying to upset his opponents intentionally, no one wants to see that except for some people who like drama
Yes..Price overpaced a little bit in this game, but it was for over one year! Leave Price alone and DON'T whistle an boo anymore!☝🏻️ Gerwyn is a good guy and i like the way he plays!❤️
A BIT??? I am sorry, I just think, that you can celebrate when there is something to celebrate. In the darting world, celebrating a 95 with a roar into your opponents face is very weird and not even slightly necessary. The wrong thing here is that Price doesn’t do this all the time, he does this when he feels pressured. Instead of trying to work with yourself, play better, beat your opponent with what you have in your hand, he gets into his opponent’s mind. Darts is not a mind game, beat the guy you play against with your DARTS. With all that said. Price has got better, and he is a phenomenal player. Very talented and a cool and nice guy personally. He just have to act like a steady and kind player on stage too.
@@thegermansherlock9845 Look at all the other players. A quick and real emotion or celebration is completely fine. But those screams just to put Gary off, is not any of those. It is just so provoke, that’s a fact.
Boy oh boy... This was... A darts match. Funny thing is, the whole mess that actually started the near-universal hatred of Price for 9-12 months after this match, didn't actually start occurring until very late in the match. Everything was perfectly normal and rivalry-like before that.
I disagree with Mardle, Anderson plays at his rhythm, where he approaches the oche quickly, but not at a bad time. Notice how with any other player he is able to do that properly and not have an issue. You can't say Price over celebrates by staying in the oche for long, but then blame Anderson for approaching the encroachment zone fast due to Price celebrating too long. You can't have it both ways, knowing Price does it to put off his opponent. Not even van Gerwen does that to an extent of gamesmanship.
@@patrickhockton1190 Mardle is a gobshite. I remeber after this match Mardle was saying something like "Price used his physicality to his advantage in the way he played tonight". This is the man who said that darts isn't a contact sport when Gurney barged Whitlock. Somehow Price being an ex-rugby player makes exceptions for him
Anderson war vom ersten Leg an total angepisst...da hat Price recht wenig mit zu tun. Anderson ist seit den letzten 2,3 Jahren relativ schnell aus der ruhe zu bringen bei den Turnieren.
53:14 I think as soon as you watch it on the camera's it's clear he is not getting in his face it was when he turned around he was there. From other angles I can appreciate people thinking price was facing him and celebrating too his face but he just wasn't.
Sorry, but how was any of this Price's fault? The only time I could really fault him was near the end (when he almost bumped into Gary) and that was because Anderson was encroaching. So that was 50/50. The earlier incidents, Gary stopping after throwing one dart to have a word with Price was on him. Gerwyn was having a drink of water at his table at the time, so couldn't possibly have done anything wrong. So basically, all Gerwyn did wrong was umm celebrate. While Gando twice stopped his throw to stir the pot (I don't know what was said but it could have waited until the end of the leg) and encroached into the exclusion zone, although not to the extent Wade did against Whitlock in the WGP that time. I hope to god some people here don't follow football - the celebrations there are much wilder. You'd be traumatised for life!
no idea why people hate Price! He did nothing wrong. One of the best personalities in darts, mainly due to his lack of arrogance and aggressive behaviour. Unlike Anderson who is the pantomime villain!
I thought Gary was rushing a wee bit. As far as price I've no problem. Hes being paid to entertain and he does. Great game and nice to see a bit of needle.
Part of this game can be psychological, Price was living rent free in Anderson's head. Back when i was younger it used to bother me also. Now the younger kids try doing it to me I laugh it off and give it back. Especially in cricket
Anderson kept stepping up to the oche even before Price had a chance to turn around to celebrate his good throw. And he had the nerve to push Gerwin? Well done Price, good darts and composure!
The feigned look of innocence at 25.58 reminds me of Peter Manley's 'have it large' moment to Adrian Lewis during the 2006 PDC. Different players - same shenanigans.
@@blue_red_screen - And crucially World Championship wins make him a legend of the game. I see Gerwin at it with more shenanigans at this years World's in getting beat by Wright. He said he needs to learn - he's correct.
None of the names you mentioned did that kind of arsehole behaviour. You must be new to the game to think drunk pub gamesmanship is acceptable!. Price won't last long as he is solely a wind up merchant. Talented no doubt but a Peter one dart Manley want to be and even his vileness won't get him to that level!.
What great entertainment every dart match should have needle like that..well done price he outwitted Anderson who lost control ..when he hit that treble twenty and walked back to price that is when his game was lost.
He the king at min and best he dresver be champion well done grewy price. And he would champion to it great year Wales are proud of him . Wood t supise me if win again . Next year on fire
