This is old tech. Perhaps the second most used drive method after rotary for bicycles. Look up "constant-torque treadle". Linear systems like this are less efficient overall (they don't carry leg momentum like rotary for example) and tend to limit max RPM. They do have their uses. Namely low speed recumbent Trikes, Quads and Cargo Velomobiles where the more constant torque in appreciated. Other advantages are a variable stroke length, allowing a rider to rest their legs, or for someone who doesn't have full flexibility in their legs to still provide power to the wheel(s). There is a 120 year old book on bike design that everyone who is thinking of redesigning bikes should read, Bicycles and Tricycles: An Elementary Treatise on Their Design and Construction by Archibald Sharp. It is so through that MIT wanted to update it for their modern classes, but in the end they decided that there was nothing they could add and simply reprinted it.

I noticed all of your projects are patent pending. Nothing you are doing is a notably new way of making a bicycle. To this day the best system for moving a bike is a drive belt.
