your incubator is how I found you years ago xD I come back now and then and see you're still working on new things. Wonder how this went. Cant wait to watch.

Adding springtails to eat any mould that the eggs might have is a brilliant idea man. Good luck with your clutch. Hope your new method is a great success. Thank you for sharing.

I’ve been experimenting with a air fryer inside of a wine cooler, holding the water in the bottom of the air fryer and then there’s a screen there’s two parts of the air fryer. I can set the eggs on top of the screen and side of the wine cooler kind of like the same method in the way that you use for your cooler with water for 100% humidity but it’s inside of a wine cooler as well

I like what Brian did with his incubation system. He turned a walk in closet into an incubator.

Awesome Garrett, that's what this hobby is all about! Experimentation. Question about the cooler incubation method. Is there any technique that you know of to keep so much water from gathering on the cooler lid, so when it opens it doesn't drip all over everything?
@MelSparrow
@MelSparrow 3 года назад
I'm not Garrett, but I have a lid on my tote containing my eggs. And a couple pieces of plastic wrap across the top, under the lid. So any condensation on the cooler lid will drop down on tote lid. Then tote lids condensation will be kept off the eggs with plastic wrap. Hope that wasn't confusing.

I made the incubator like your, out of coolers. Thanks, it working so we'll for my first clutch of eggs! Super excited. In a few years, it will have Tombolongan super dwarf eggs!! Whoo-hoo

I'm all about this method Garrett, I've been using your method with the giant cooler and submersible heaters and pumps with great success. All of my eggs have been hatching perfectly I honestly haven't lost an egg yet due to incubation issues, my humidity is always 99% and I keep the temps at 90 witch works perfect in my situation. I'm new to breeding but I had 6 clutches last season and am shooting for 25 this season and I will continue to use the heated water method it just makes more sense than trying to regulate a vertical box of air. Definitely not dissing anyone who uses that method at all but if you are having issues you should try Garrett's method it really works. If you ever release a version of this new incubator in conjunction with Freedom Breeder or by yourself I would be your first customer, it looks awesome.

Dig the idea of it. Interesting way to incubate. I successfully used you're cooler method for my daughter's ball python eggs last fall. And I read the names, mostly to see Danny's.

Lol this is what I did i had been stuck and had no choice but to use What i had but i took your sim idea and used that and it's my first ever one but the eggs look fucking amazing no moisture build up inside my containers and i use the round ones i get dubias in with the holes on the sides around it there clear and I can get like 6 eggs comfortable i have bigger ones and eventually that's what I'll use or not idk it may be better smaller so i can keep temps more even but either way u saved my ass and i feel like with my own intuition and advice of true elders in the community who only care about the pet like u and a handful of others i can do anything i want

Will be interested in seeing how it works out incubating the eggs that away. I have corn snake eggs in shoe box very small holes and heat tape on thermostat under it to see how that works this year. Before I just put them on top of the adults tank and have hatched them that way. GOD BLESS and let us know how it goes good or bad.

Dude, I found a broken air fryer. Do you know how it has a like a guard at the front so you can hold water underneath he keep it underneath the container there’s two screens, one screen I made to put my substrate on stuff and then right under that it connects to reservoir that can hold water and then you connect it all together air fryer. Seems like it’s your method but a different way to do it.

Hey Garrett This is an awesome video , it inspired my bearded dragon incubator. I had built a cooler type, quick last season & it worked perfect. Especially using the springtales for mould control. This season I’ve built a bigger, commercial fridge, converted incubator & I’m planning to use a combo of the cooler & ur new racking method. Do u have an update vid of the new snake rack incubator method? How did the eggs in there go?? Was there any issues u had to make adjustments for? I’m in Australia btw, the climate in my location is sub-tropical, so summer can get pretty hot & humid. I know I’m going to have to make a few adjustments here & there on the fly. Any sort advice or tips would be greatly appreciated? U guys are doing an awesome job with pushing to make the hobby better. Our goal is to do the same down under for our reptile community. Thanks for setting the example. Dino @orangemonstersaurus 👊🏽😎 🍊👹🦕 🔥🐉

It worked well, but ultimately was a bit over complicated, so we reverted back to the incubator for the following season. I haven’t (yet) another incubator build planned- something to house a larger number of eggs for the coming season. :). Good luck!!

I'm giving my critique because I know you want it. I would have made this video AFTER a successful hatching. Other than that, you know I loved it.

Hi Garret I just bought my first super dwarf retic after watching your channel for the last few months . I’m from Scotland and I travelled quite a long way to get her and paid a good bit of money she was advertised as 75% super dwarf purple snow retic after seeing a few mainland ones were I collected her I am a bit concerned as I never got much info when I was their either . I was wandering iff there is anyway you can tell the difference at this age atall ? .

It’s typically down to how trustworthy the breeder is, and how well they maintain information of their blood lines. Which breeder did you purchase from?
@DTKRDMNK

Can sell springtails too after you have billions breeding in the medium lol.

The Amish have been riding horse and buggy for hundreds of years you should see if you can borrow one. I heard they work really good. Lol. You realize we do the exact same thing now but without the water right. That was a step forward.

You’re incubating in snake rack tubs, in the racks? Eliminating the need for an incubator entirely?
@SwingingPythons

Reach Out Reptiles oh my bad. To be honest I didn't watch the whole thing because I thought you were stuck on the big water cooler idea. Now that I had to watch the whole video to make sense of your reply I realize your probably onto something but you should be putting a Paton on it and licence it to freedom breeder. Lol get that twenty bucks back.

you don't want to use isopods trust me. Springtails i've never used in the egg incubation media but ive lost a few important clutches to them supposed "good" bioactive critters known as dwarf white isopods
@ReachOutReptiles
@ReachOutReptiles 3 года назад
Really? That’s good to know. We’ve successfully run springtails for the last couple of years with great success.
@FusionExotics
@FusionExotics 3 года назад
@@ReachOutReptiles Yes sir, what actually happened was that the snakes i had were kept in a bioactive enclosure (which i used both springtails and dwarf white isopods as the cleanup crew) had laid their eggs on the substrate which i ended up removing for artificial incubation. Eggs were all fertile and healthy looking to begin with, after 2 days they started to have that "shrivelled up" look which was strange because the humidity in the egg box was at bare minimum 90%, 3 days later i went to check on the eggs and noticed they had all collapsed and stunk. Of course i then took out the eggs to inspect them and found a whole bunch of dwarf white isopods having a party on the eggs. I guess i didn't do a good enough job at brushing off the eggs before putting them away :(

Do you know the cost of rent dude wow im living with my parents because of shits to expensive maybe be less judgemental if you want people to care about your channel.

What does a snake incubator have to do with the cost of your rent, and how does me trying a new way of incubating my eggs cast judgement on your living with your parents?

@@Secularwonderdragon no, not at all. To me it just seemed like since I had the racks, it would be a cool space saver. This did work, but honestly our cheap DIY Igloo incubator is still the best performing one we’ve used.
