This was at a Barbershop competition, so 99% of the people there are giga barbershop nerds and would know instantly that wasn't the end/tag.

And even those with no knowledge of music theory or barbershop conventions would likely have seen the emotion going on up there to see that the lead needed a moment to pull himself back together again. (Had he recently lost his father before this performance? This interaction seemed so raw... even more so than subsequent performances of this song by them... Or is he just that amazing an actor/singer?)

Instant Classic’s “Til I Hear You Sing” is another if it hits right

I love Til I Hear You Sing!! I performed that with a quartet at my school's concert this year, such an incredible arrangement and so fun to do. We didn't do it anywhere near a professional level, but the last few chords locked in super well and that was really exciting and satisfying

@@1stCZbarbershopper They sang “Think,” “Dance With My Father,” and then finished with “Proud Mary.” They put on a phenomenal set and Daniel was the most emotionally moved during “Dance With My Father” as I had ever seen him. It was raw and beautiful.
