The scene from Squadrons is so good because that 'another retreat' line really shows how devastating the Battle of Endor was. Palpatine got so immensely cocky that he put all his eggs in one basket, and as a result doomed the Empire he spent decades building.

Ah yes Mass Effect, that first time arriving at Palavin and seeing a Turian fucking attack wing get bodid by a reaper? Still breathtaking to this day.

I could watch this all day, anything involved in space battles, I just can't resist.

The most of most EPIC battle scenes is waterdrop vs the whole earth defence force. Stunning EPIC job.

Those EvE Online cinematic videos always look awesome. Just a shame that the real game is just "backstabbing in space". Also at @11:00 there's like 3 ships that look and act like they are fighters; but in reality those are classified as frigates. That was always something I found very peculiar as imo they should have just used those 'frigates' as singleseat fighters while the actual fighters could have been reconcepted as drones. Also a shame that CCP redesigned my little police cruiser and removed the flashing light. That was my favorite ship. Anyways; they did have some interesting ship designs and I had a pretty nice collection of ships. However, I stopped playing after a couple of months as the levelling systems was ass and made sure you could never win against someone who had been playing longer than you. Zero skill involved, just spreadsheets. A real shame... Nice cinematics though; even though they weren't representative of the actual game...

All of those space battles, and just about every Hollywood and video game studio space battle has ships flying as if they are in-atmo. Battlestar Galactica being one of the few exceptions. Will the video game industry ever figure this out? I have no illusion that Hollywood will likely never change, they are all about 'drama' over any remote semblance of realism. Would really love to see an epic space battle with realistic flight characteristics.

You know, COD Infinite Warfare is pretty hated on, but I loved that game. Might not be fair to call it COD, but it is fun.

Man, it's just a shame that EVE Online is absolutely nothing like you see in the videos. It may actually be not boring to play if it were like in the videos. That said, the most epic out of all of these in the video is the Mass Effect 3 final fleet battle. Not just in size and scope, but because that fleet is one you as a player build up through the entire game and the cinematic changes depending on your choices.

What I like about Star Citizen are the realistic game battles which are almost as good as the cinema versions in terms of graphics.

Im pretty sure there are ejector seats in starwars, no idea why that pilot didn't eject after his spaceship lost power over the ocean, cracked canopy and a rought landing hes very likely to be knocked out and drowned

Well it have sense that in CoD Infinite Warfare the Earth fleet was shoot down by their own defenses. Those guns was made to clear skies from any ships, so if the guns wasnt able to shoot down their own ships, that would have been bad for the planet defense. Its logical. But still bad planning of the trama. The idea of such systems so easily penetrated by enemy actions is absolutely ridiculous. And there's no countermeasures for Earth forces to avoid such situations? No way. Impossible. Even in Halo 2, when Covenant infiltrated with force the orbital stations, instead of using them against UNSC forces, they just destroyed the stations. Thats because there must be no way to turn our guns against our forces. 😤 CoD Infinite Warfare could have been an epic game, but it was made too dramatic and too short in period of times to depict a real war between Earth and Mars.

To this day, I find it hilarious how they try so hard to show loyal imperial soldiers. Especially when the empire is ruled by two wiazrds who kill their officers on a fucking whim.

Mmm. In real space battle you wouldn't see your enemy ever. Definitely not visually. May be, on relativistic speeds you can predict where it will be in the next hour.

This was great until Mass Effect. The games (2) were great but their cinematics and space battles were just so meh.
