Honestly this is pretty benevolent compared to some of the stuff that came out of Simpleflips' troll hack competition last year. Hard to pick a personal winner, but Shinyquill's "Just Get That Star!" might take it purely for introducing the trip mechanic from SSB Brawl.

Imagine, at one point, the developers of this rom hack added Klepto and he could steal your cap like in Mario 64 DS, where when Klepto stole Mario's cap, if Mario hits a power up block (like the red block for the wing cap), a bomb would appear instead? That could be great for a "puzzle" where you would need a bomb for breaking a block or something but that's the only way to get one. 😂😂😂

0:47 There's this tool in Mario Builder 64 called the "Cull Marker" that is designed to erase faces to save vert count but can also be used as a one-way wall.
