Seeing those Hawaiian rolls.. reminds me of eating Krystal’s on the boat while we would jug fish on the Chattanooga river. Great times! Something about fishing just makes food slap even more!
So glad to see another video Tug and Krystal! Catch go catch 'em! Years ago when I was fishing in Cedar Key all the time, we always said, "The fish won't bite until you either break out the food or pop a top!", works like a charm!
Happy Father's day Ian! Another great video, Can't beat boat days in the Keys even when it's not a boat limit (that's real life). I've noticed the Jalapeno thing too, my wife now gets our peppers, mangos, and avocados from a local Latino grocery store, they seem to have the hook up on the good stuff. Love spending my Sunday nights watching these videos, have a great time down there.
Hey it's nice to see Kristal, B and you Tug on dads day. For your meal is a lot better than what I am having, which is chicken and no it's not chicken from the sea. My your vacat be good for you all and we are always looking forward to the next view.
I know you aren't really joking when you say it costs you money to keep this channel going. I hope one day it surpasses your tug income if you ever wish to retire. I've imitated many days that you've had with your family, with my family. Doing stuffed flounder tonight from some i wade gigged yesterday as a matter of fact. Thanks for all your efforts!
Happy Father's Day Tug! Krystal nail that fish. I was thinking you were doing cajun beabs & rice for the Mahi, but white rice, black beans, & pineapple pico is amazing!! Good to see all of you on this video. Stay Blessed!
A trick I learned when I was growing up in the keys is when you hook one Mahi leave it in the water and drop out another bait close by. Maui will stay with the hooked one trying to get sloppy seconds.
That meal would have been outrageous at a restaurant. Your cooking skills is better than any restaurant. At least you know how your meal is prepared too! 😎
When buying jalapeños the spicy ones are the ones that have brown lines on the outside just a tip outstanding dinner blessings to all thank you for sharing
Love the show guys! Found you about 45 days ago and watching all the videos ! Keep coming out with genuine, fun loving , catch clean and Cook content y’all!
Mahi is probably in my top 3 favorite fresh fish to eat Tug it would be so cool to hang out and fish with you man I live in west Texas I dream of living by the ocean to eat fresh fish and crab thanks for sharing your life with us brother glad I came across you on BlueGabes channel I have been constantly watching your videos after work
TUGG GALD UR ON FAMILY VACATION I HOPE I SEE SOME VIDZ OF U SLAYING SOME FISH! LOVED THIS THO EVEN THO FISHING WAS TOUGH !!! MUCH LOVE GOD BLESS SEE U NEXT TIME!
I love fishing in the keys, but I never get more than 1 day without wind when I go down for vacation. I end up running deep several miles into the gulf and chumming for cero's . But it beats the best day at work!
It’s because the jarred Jalapeños are pickled. It decreases the capsaicin level significantly. Jalapeños off the vine are way better taste wise. Definitely a lot more kick.
I used to eat mango all the time when I was younger but now I get a reaction that makes my throat swell up bad! Jalapenos, agreed the supermarket ones are bland, you need to grow your own. Fish looked great, nice video, thx.
Doing a job in Waikiki. Of course, the wind is blowing….. buddy just repowered, and re did everything for retirement. Maybe we can stay inshore? Probably not….. my luck. lol
I live arkansas so i do alot of bass fishing and catfish. But one day i wanna fish in the ocean. Been to Florida 3 times on vacation, but never got the chance to fish. But i want to very much!!
I am with you on the grocery store jalapeno's. Minimal heat at best, even when you leave the seeds and ribs. Hope you guys have some calm wind days, either way have a blast!
Spot on about the grocery store jalapeños. They don’t have the flavor and heat home grown or local grown peppers do. Recommend trying serrano peppers instead.
chilis are so easy to grow we stopped buying peppers at store cause yes they dont have flavor nor are they hot. its funny here in texas the chili pequin is native to texas, its a little red berry like pepper but its fairly hot, and is used to make salsa for tacos, they grow in the wild and they are very winter resistant and they come back every winter here, the bush we had last year came back and is double the size and i gotta pull em off tomarrow. cayenne peppers are very easy to grow as well and ripen faster then jalapenos or serranos. that dish you made i used to make that in a food prep kitchen for workout meals. the rice had black beans in it mixed with lime juice and cilantro, with the mahi, i personally wasnt a fan of mahi when i tried it, it tasted squiddy to me, even though i love squid, maybe one day ill try a fresh one.
Went to the theater “7” days in a row to admire that trimaran … Sailing La Vagabond, RU-vid channel, have a great 60ft trimaran. Pay-per was a great line …I say that all the time-I thought I was a lonely weirdo
As always, awesome video! The thing that sucks is, you only post new content once per week. It would rock if you were to post on a more frequent schedule consisting of at least 3 or 4 per week. It will give us as the viewers more to watch and it will also give your channel a ton more popularity and give you more views/subs etc. Up to you, but I wouldnt be mad at seeing 3 or 4 new vids/ wk :)
Great looking meal , and I agree about the non spicy jalapenos , if I want spicy jalapenos I go to the local Mexican grocery store and it's way cheaper
2 things.... 1st, the peppers - home grown chili peppers grown in the south, with a lot of sunshine, and dry conditions (the sandy soil of Florida qualifies because it allows the water to drain off quickly), make the capsaicin stronger. 2nd - I worked in Ft. Myers for a few months and saw the crowd of people watching the sun set. Having worked in construction all day in the blazing sun, I wasn't wanting to sit there watching the sun go down,, but after the 5th day of going to this little dive (that was beside a pier and had some ice cold drinks and amazing food) curiosity got the best of me and I strolled over to see what it was all about. A little old lady looked at me, put a finger to her mouth to hush me, and pointed at the sunset saying "try to see the 'green flash'!" I really wanted to ask what the hell was she talking about, but she was so intent on looking I couldn't. Then I noticed everyone else was watching intently also! So I just turned to watch as the last sliver of the sun disappeared... and OMG! THERE IT WAS! For a slit second there was a brilliant flash of green light! It doesn't happen often, and it's so quick it's virtually impossible to capture it on film,, but to see it for yourself is truly amazing! But.... when I turned back to look at the little old lady, the smile on her face was just as remarkable! With a tear of joy trailing down her cheek she looked at me and said "that was the 5th time I've seen it in my 88 years,, I wasn't sure I'd ever get to see it again before I die!" Our construction crew went to her funeral a week later.
