Hello, new subscriber here from Northern California. I ran into one of your videos "carne a la mexicana" and others, and I can't stop watching. The videos are non scripted and original. The best part is the relationship and respect you guys with one another. Keep up the good work, Awesome!!
LOL, I laughed way too hard at how you all pronounced "wagyu", lol. You both (well three now now that you all have a camera woman) always put a smile on my face. Never stop making videos.
The worst thing to do to Wagyu is douse it with salt because it breaks the beef down pretty bad which make it overcook quickly. A medium fire flipping it every 4-5 minutes is perfect. At the most it should take no more than 10-12 minutes to cook.
Its not overcooked but you do NOT cook that kind of meat that long. Its expensive and delicate and cooks fast and that type of meat tastes its absolute best at rare/ medium rare. If you cook it further it will still be good but you wont taste what makes wagyu beef so special and expensive and nobody spend that much on a steak to cook it that long. They made a second video cooking it correctly and they enjoyed it a whole lot more.
It's the best steak in japan. They feed the beef Beer and it is so tender it melts in your mouth, they massage the steaks and treat the cows so good. Hope you guys enjoy the flavor.
For my 60th birthday, which was 6 years ago, I bought three Wagyu New York striploins from a local butcher who supplies restaurants. They are about 12oz each and cost me $148. Best steaks I have ever eaten. You have to cook them a little bit more than medium rare because you have to render the fat out.
I love these guys, too cool. That hat is hilarious. Definitely want to try one of them steaks. Ignore all these comments with negative vibes. Be happy.
Oh no, no more Rigo???!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭, just seen him on the last video!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 He was very much loved and he will be waiting at the pearly gates for some of that steak, so save him a piece😢👍🐶🐾
That's the most well done, medium steak I've ever seen... Looks like really good steak though, I hope you wiped or flipped that chopping board before putting the cooked steak where the raw steak was earlier though, I'm sure you did off camera ;-) I've only had a wagyu beefburger and that was amazing. Another good one to look out for is bone marrow burgers, with well sourced meat that marrow flavour is awesome.
Hey guys, please use only salt before grilling. All other spices are only applied to the meat after grilling. If you put the spices on the meat before grilling, they will burn and make a bitter taste.
Too much money for a mere steak but the video is priceless!! Lol awesome when they almost dropped the steak!! Piche Gasparin te pasas guey la neta!! Even my heart skipped a beat!! Tubo chingon eso!!!
There is a premium steak that comes out of Thailand called Kobi beef. The cows are raised on cottage cheese, and the cows are massaged by hand. What can you say, it's going to be prime cut due to the fat marbling. You can get here with prime beef.
Not sure where you got that information? I live in Thailand and yes you can get both Wagyu and Kobe beef, both from Japan. Wagyu is a step above and beyond Kobe. Thai beef is pretty tough, so most premium steakhouses serve Australian beef from Harvey's (WA) or Woodward Angus. I have yet to ever see anything called "Kobi". There are some very expensive Krung Thep and Chiangmai restaurants with Japanese Wagyu and Kobe however.
I give thumbs up... however you over cooked it and over seasoned it. I saw someone comment that you should do a video with guga channel. I totally agree. You need to experience this the proper way.
I respect Gasparito. He really respected that steak. Not stuffing himself with an excellent tasty meat but gave his respect for it and the cow from where it was from. McDonalds and fastfood chains are for stuffing but not gourme food.
There are a bunch of videos on RU-vid referencing these steaks so that you can learn the correct pronunciation of the Wagyu Steak. It's pronounced just how it looks, Wag yu.
Ohh ya! thanks to you guys I've been grilling and cooking in the woods when I go on my trail rides with the horse. I'll stop near a river and pull out the tiny grill and cook steak or burgers and cooking after a 3 hour long trail ride on a horse feels good and taste good lol. I just hope a beer doesn't come for it one day lmao. Well I do carry my sidearm so hopefully i'm good lol
All you're gonna do is piss it off with a pea shooter like that even shooting 7.62 itll take a whole clip for it to bleed out but itll still come for you
guys, its a chuck steak, come on,the grease the tender the look, forget it go grab a chuck steak from costco and watch what happens, and thanks for feeding the cammera girl.
Guys, please learn the basics of letting something rest. You overcooked the hell out of this. 30 seconds to 1 minute max on both sides for the thicknesses of this steak. 10 minutes rest, minimum no matter how you cook it or how thick. Just wrap it in foil. It allows any residual heat to continue gently cooking the meat.
Steaks like Wagyu, especially A5 is meant to be eaten Rare or atleast medium-rare... hopefully you will do that once and cook it how its meant to be experienced! :D But as always lovin your vids :D
Kelly Clark no it’s intended to be just seared, not over cooked. magnoliacattlecompany.com/beef/cooking_your_steaks/ plenty of other sources including traditional Japanese preparation online.
@@kellyc2425 If you say so! Everyone can do what they want, but there are still things that are meant to be done in a certain way. DOesnt mean you are forced to do it... it just is the way its meant to be done.
Wagyu contains a lot of fat and if you have ever eaten uncooked beef fat you will know its something of a acquired taste. Sear the steak and then remove off direct heat and let the residual heat cook the steak for another minute or two depending on thickness of cut. Wagyu can be eaten any way, there is no correct way, just don't over do it as you will remove all the fat from the protein and be left with nothing special.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you overcook a $150 steak! And cutting it all up at the same time?!! Tsk,Tsk. Still delicious I'm sure. Just realized how hungry I am.
Sirloin + A1 is awesome and good enough for me. And on the top of hamburger patties with mayo, ketchup and lettuce is mind boggling good. P.s on not resting team 😴
Edwin and Gasparito are Funny as Heck! But I ain't paying $300 for two pieces of meat... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Welcome to the! Cooking Two pieces of meat for $300, on the "Cooking de Cabron" Channel. 🤣
