And here I am struggling to click the right buttons on the microwave rip kobe ❤️ Three years later ppl still commenting!! 5 years later 🥹ima keep coming back to this Boys we coming up on year 6 keep em coming!
This is positively obscene talent. Totally unbelievable to say the least. Boogie Woogie par excellence from two virtuosos. I can't get enough of this music. Just plain Wowsie!
Let's face it, the stores there could feed him, he could have *some* exercise (escorted, so he doesn't do a runner) and be a permanent feature there.. I'm not suggesting kidnap or false imprisonment and forced Labour, per se, simply another way of living. 😁😉
WOW! If I had seen them at this airport, I'd have missed my flight. Sitting here at home watching it on a video I am still mesmerized. What incredible talent and they are so obviously enjoying themselves. Thank you so much for sharing this talent with all the people wandering by there and again here in RU-vid.
My father used to play like this and regretfully now, I’ve never wanted to learn despite all his efforts at trying to get me to play. He’s 94 now and hasn’t played in 8 years due to agonizing arthritis. But I emailed this to him and he’s enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us all!
my aunt had bad arthritis in her hands, she tried some cbd balm and it surprisingly worked. the effects lasted like 2 days too. im not an add bot - just thought it might help
Collagen should help. I know a 74-year-old who could not play because of joints issues and started using collagen and now he has no issues at all. I know it's a long shot at 94 but you never know, good luck!
@@honeybadger1847 OK bud. Your finality is not everyone's finality. So first take a chill pill and second let other benefit from something that might let them play again...i have only goodwill and no interest here...
@{{1791}} why the fuck would a godzilla chase you? And if you would stay i am pretty sure the pianist would run away. Basic logic. Love life, don't bash it with your love. Something like that
Okay, that was so impressive. Ben Toury wowed me with his cross handed arpeggios and is various hand positions, high chord slams, hand chops and single finger play...that was just so fun to watch. You have to be seriously skilled at that instrument to be able to do that and hit most of the notes.
Yep wow the terrible way you and BASH up THAT PIANO - as saying " SLAM THAT HAMMER" the POOR PIANO IS DUE FOR LUBE OIL & FILTER IM MY GARAGE now ---- wonderful music I thoroughly enjoyed
WOW! That young man doesn’t “play” that piano, he brutalizes it…but in the most wonderful way! Outstanding talent. I’m absolutely out of breath…I don’t know if I was holding my breath or if I was breathing in time with the frenetic notes. You two work very well with each other.Ach of you brings something very different to it, abu it works perfectly. I’m a disabled old woman, but if I had been there I would have set my walker aside and danced! I can’t hold still (like apparently a lot of people can, but I have to move when I hear music like that, even if I can’t dance nearly as well as I used to; and really, I was never that good, but I’ve simply got to move to the music. My body simply won’t allow a “no”! Great stuff, guys.
That younger guy is in a completely different league, not even remotely close. Brendan is pretty good but I've never seen skills like that other guy has.
Together these two catapulted to a whole new level the phrase "tickling the ivories." My mom would have loved this. She could play a boogie woogie. Phenomenal energy! A joy to listen to and watch. Thanks!
He was wearing airforce uniform, took his jacket of. Playing piano must be one major passion for him though, not main occupation. The other one is a doctor.
I'm more impressed that you're 80 years old and learned the computer! my dad is 56 and can't remember how to work it when I showed him youtube 😂 ... good stuff keep up that learning!! You are never too old to learn something new!!
@@pippipster6767 Wasn't that good? Follow me... Cheap Samsung Tab11 plugged into tuner/amp & 2x 300Watt speakers plugged into that... Then slide the volume control to way past right of centre & play this clip again... It's good alright!
Most modern music has Nothing on this, this is just pure crazy fun, and incredible talent. I studied and played piano, but these guys take it to the next level.
When I was a child my best friend's mother's boyfriend would shred their piano like this every time we asked, and we asked constantly. He was amazing and this young man has to be his reincarnation. I can't get enough of those riffs!
Deference, my man. Others are not extensions of our personalities. And to generally admonish those not arrested to " enjoy life " presupposes erroneously that they, in fact, are not enjoying life as they should. What is personally meaningful or emotionally moving, needn't be contextualized in the immediacy of another's reaction.
And so how is it that the commercial music industry spews such awful garbage and rakes in millions? These guys are absolutely gifted. They gave a free concert and lifted up and amazed so many! I could have stood there ALL DAY LONG and listened to them. In fact, if I had been rushing to catch my flight, it would have broken my heart to have to leave. This is where the true talent is...literally right on the street...humbly mingling with the masses of us. God bless these guys! I'm so impressed! I have learned never to underestimate other human beings. We are indeed "fearfully and wonderfully made."
Not all of today’s music is trash, electronic music is actually very complex and you still need to know how keyboards work and know the music theory to make things easier People only care about what sounds good to the ear, not how it was made, that’s what is making our culture watered down
@@Gray-sh2jg You do have a point there,. But hands down the earliest instrumental music is the foundation for all music and the instrumental music just sounds 100% better,!!! That you can't argue about,!!! People creating amazing music from hand made instrumens, like (wood and animal intestines) to make music strings,,, is amazing all in it's own right... overall I guess electronic music is good and great for some people!! Thanks for the reply!!
I'm a carpenter. A few years ago a lady friend noticed all the scars on my hands. I found 13 on my right, and 30 something on my left. She said "why so many on your left"? ...because I hold material with my left, and work with my right. So when the blade or chisel slips, my left takes the wound. From then on I started holding with my right and working with my left. I'm not 100% but I can do SO much more with my left now. Use a circular saw, jigsaw, handsaws, chisels, knives, sanders, etc.
@@muskokamike127 was kind of joking but I get your point. Sometimes I have to weld in tough spots that I can barely get my left hand in but has to be done.
I had surgery on my right hand many years ago and had to learn to brush left-handed. Couldn't figure out whether to move my head or my hand - took quite a while to get the hang of it. And when it came to the other things you do in the bathroom that you need hands for?? Let's not even go there. 😣😝
Well I learned how difficult that was when I hurt my right hand, probably sprained it, last summer. Spectacularly tripping over my own feet while running outside. I could use my hand as long as I wasn't using strength or moving my wrist. What followed was about 2 weeks I had to struggle with the left hand tooth brushing amongst other daily tasks. I think actually I ended up using my right hand for support and the left hand for strength, so I didn't end up putting my tooth brush down my throat instead XD Using a fork and a knife at the same time was the biggest problem though as I couldn't use the knife with my right hand, so cutting up meat and stuff just got really, really awkward.
The superb talent of the Dr and all his fabulous piano virtuosos mostly unknown to me and the wider world audience glaringly exposes the reality of how human kind has so much talent and dare I say a genuine love for each other and the universal love of music in all its different forms. Political alleged World Leaders would do well to learn from what this Doc has contributed to the human spirit his platform constantly provides so I applaud him and his great guests Thankyou so much .John T
My brother was classically trained on piano, sadly he never used his talent to his fullest potential. Great to see you guys having so much fun . Well done 👍
I find this fascinating...it's like there's such a deep level of concentration there, he only gets these extremely short moments to smile at the music he's making and then right back into intense focus so he doesn't lose it.
I love how this man plays the piano with his fingers tied up….awesome talented person…..and then afterwards, his fingers are literally flying all over the keyboard, what talent, awesome…..God bless his hands for turning out so much 🎵….HIGH 5…love this music both of you… this Is the fun stuff….lol…..❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Omg I've never seen such techniques, this was one of the best piano performances I've ever seen, imagine being there and just passing by them. They should pay to see this lol
I’m glad they are playing for free and for the fun of it too, and bringing music to others, maybe their influences will help someone else become interested into playing as well and bring a bit of joy of music into a world gone mad with technological gadgets and their dependence upon them.
@@ellenexmadden ….people who usually have a like interest can usually play together without rehearsing, if the knowledge of the songs is equal in their minds and hearts, sometimes it’s better to rehearse, but if doing it for fun….it doesn’t matter. I have played my three tambourines without rehearsals, because I can feel the rhythm and tones of the music through the various genres of the music….it’s hard to explain…all I know is I just can do it. At one time while playing music with a band I joined, they felt I couldn’t keep up or would not be able to hit the right rhythm with my tambourines, plus I started out with only one, then added more to it later on, but they were quite surprised when I did what I said I could do and it added another aspect of rhythm to the music….I was not only able to keep up, but also make the right choices in the right sections of the music with my tambourines…then I would give it my all. I have always looked for certain tones in my tambourines and each has their own distinct sounds and as I play them, each rings out a different tone within various sections of the music as I accompany the band members in the songs. I’ve also played drums, but not my own, I may actually need more practice and not be so shy about making the right sounds and noises with them….lol.
Just goes to show you, that when you put two people with the same skill together, they can make beautiful music. They were both really getting into it. Amazing performance!!
One of our favorite videos. The wife and I just love the two of you performing together like this. Lots of good music from years past. Keep those videos coming. You could both have your own shows out here in California. Cheers!
You guys played that piano within a inch of it's life! Dr. K & Ben are absolutely amazing playing together. Woowzers! Thanks for that boogie woogie fix for my day.
Whoa...how amazing is that young man! Watching the both of you play together is truly wonderful. Two piano treasures playing together. I could watch you two playing together for hours. Thank you for this!!
I keep coming back to this video. It's one of my favourite videos ever on RU-vid. My legs move uncontrollably and i get an adrenaline rush! Listening to this I feel like the most talentless person on the planet at the same time as feeling an extreme burst of happiness.
I don’t think he is a staff Sargent. Dressed like he is he would be out of uniform and if a ranking officer saw him he would be in big trouble. Having said that what a talent. Wow
@Mike Wallace…..you bet they kick ass….I haven’t seen this much talent since I was a kid enjoying boogie woogie jam sessions….ohhhhh how I love those days when people played for the fun of playing their instruments, especially the piano. My sister played boogie woogie tunes but I wasn’t to hear much of it after she got married and left home…lol, actually I miss her playing the piano….she was trying to teach me a bit, but never had the chance to teach me more than she was able to after moving to another town….😥😥😥
Loved the amazing level of talent, especially when they kept switching back and forth between the bass rhythm and melody sections! I don't have anywhere near that level of skill, but the energy generated from the obvious tons of fun they had playing in this video immediately had me running back to my own piano to rekindle the pure enjoyment of playing that I seem to have forgotten.
*Omg!!! This is the MOST amazing duet I have ever seen, literally!!!* *And at **7:48** the talented guy realized that he finally found someone that is totally as crazy as him when playing the piano!* *It was CRAZY GOOOOD and SOOO much fun to watch!!* *I NEED to see more duet/collab in the future, please!! Because seeing the in sync crazy good talent, joy and excitement when jamming together is BEYOND AMAZING!!*
As you know, there are alot of headaches, twists and turns to earn that kind of money. Add that he would be under someone else's thumb. I can see why the money doesn't mean that much to him because he enjoys what he does.
Just incredible!! Made me smile the whole way through. To hear two people with such incredible talent, both on the same piano at the same time, absolutely phenomenal!
Glen; Toronto Banjo Band here. That was inspiring, awesome and UNBELIEVABLE. And you guys just met??? Way to go Dr. K and Ben Toury. You are piano geniuses.
Just watching that makes my pinkie hurt! Any pianist knows how difficult it is to play rapid notes with the 5th and 4th fingers - phenomenal performance! And what a workout!
And the thumb nail too becuz I mean look at how he tilted his finger to one side =vv This is a punishment to watch but it’s also a gift to listen =vvv Andddd the way that he’s using his finger to made a louder sound is terrifying =vvv
I probably said it before here. The wild chords. The killer look. The inward laugh. The intense improvisations. The commanding headshake. Ben T. is truly something special. Thank you Dr. K. for bringing him to my attention.
