Don't take Buddhism as a religion, take it as a way of living Life.. And don't just listen or read. practice it in your life as Buddha said "whatever you read, understood is not going to help you until and unless you practice it in your daily life" So no need to convert to Buddhism Just understand correctly and practice it correctly 😊👍👍
There's no such a thing as conversion in Buddhism. If you follow the path Lord Buddha showed, you're a real Buddhist. Some people, even Buddhists(who are actually not Buddhist because they don't follow the path of Buddha) are trying to make Buddhism look like a religion, but no it's a philosophy. May you be healthy!☸️
When you feel ready...you can go for Refuge in the Triple Gem, and accept the Five Precepts. Best to do this in a Mahayana temple or a Theravada temple. But if not... you can do it on your own... When you feel ready for Buddhism in your heart...
Today is full moon 🌝 Outside .....I just had a chai ......tomorrow is Sunday and Today night I'm planning to study till morning ...... every Saturday watching your videos first has become my ritual .....and I'm loving it Thank you sir I'm looking forward to read this book 📖 😀 😄 so excited
I found the Dhammapada in my local bookstore, while searching for buddhist literature to understand more about buddhism in depth. I don't know why I picked this book, but the words inside felt so right and true for me. Words like poetry- reading it the first time. My German version / transcription of Dhammapada-The Sayings of the Buddha from Munish B. Schiekel [by Th. Byrom] and Thich Nhat Hanh has some special side markings with detailed explainations of some difficult to understanding words of mostly Pali origin. It is my every day guide in life, so helpful and inspiring and enlightening. A recommondation for everyone, buddhist or not. It will change your view about everthing. Now I read every day one full chapter and after all 26 chapters or 423 verses I start again. May all beings be happy, free from suffering and may they live in peace. Thanks for this wonderful channel. Namo Buddhaya 🙏
I am a catholic, but i find the teachings of the Buddha has much to do with Christian teachings on love, service to other, Compassionate heart, purity of heart and intension, self discipline.... Always pleasing to listen to you my brother...
The Dhammapada (Pāli; Sanskrit: धर्मपद, romanized: Dharmapada) is a collection of sayings of the Buddha in verse form and one of the most widely read and best known Buddhist scriptures. The original version of the Dhammapada is in the Khuddaka Nikaya, a division of the Pali Canon of Theravada Buddhism.

Hi! now I'm reading The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying of Sogyal Rimpoche and then I'll read this one which I didn't know about! I'm super excited. Also, I want to read the The Tibetan Book of the Dead from the Guru Padmasambhava, I deeply hope everyone can learn something about Buddhism and find peace and happiness in their lives! I learned that when you finish your meditation it's good to dedicate it to others, so I'll do it even if we don't know eachother! 😁
Love from India! "Buddha & his Dhamma"- Author the great Dr. Ambedkar. This is also one of the best book of Dhamma. We can read in brief inside this book about buddha from his early age as siddhartha. Its important in many aspect. I started from this book only, i read it almost 8 times & every time i read it i got new things to learn. Its really brought many changes in my living lifestyle & thinking.
I go to an English school close to the train station. I like to stroll around a shopping district to find a nice shop and eat there. It depends on how I feel. I study to get certificates at many places. I do it at my favorite cafe.
The Buddha taught 2,665 years ago, 500 years before Christ, it is where Christianity got its wisdom, from the Buddha. The Buddha is not a person, whereas in Christianity Jesus is a person. Both teach the body is flesh and blood but the personalising in Christianity means people become easily fooled by the world due to the guilt and punishment whereas in Buddhism thrte is no fixed person, no punishment because Kamma is the one who produces what was done or said so its like divine justice. Kindness is elevated in Buddhism and the Monastics serve the people unlike Christianity where people serve the monastics.
Namo Buddhaya Thank you for your wonderful teaching & sharing. 👍🙏 Can i bring this book to my bedroom & read on my bed? What is the different between your teaching and Mahayana teaching? Pls advise. Thank you.🙏🙏
