They are nice looking but they look like all the other brands PXG always looked different I guess there’s only so much you can do but the are really nice looking
Yep! My mate a 9 handicap games G430 irons and hid 7 iron goes 200 yards! Hence he carries five wedges! His irons start at 6 iron then PW at 41 carries a 45, 50, 54 and 60.
I’m confused why can’t a pga professional use game improvement irons? If helps your game who cares? When I played in college in early 90’s I was only player not using blades. I’m not a huge worker of the ball play a slight cut so it would be stupid to play a set of irons harder to hit. The goal is to make game as easy as possible. If playing all woods would save me a stroke a round that’s what I’d play.
7 iron with 28 degrees of loft 😮….my X16 pro 5 iron is 27 degrees…. so now I would hit the 7 where now I use the 5... I would be really curious to try them on the course to understand how they perform(spin and forgiveness) compared to my vintage irons.
I was wondering why three irons have disappeared from so many sets, make sense now that the 4 iron is stronger lofted than old school 3-irons... going to be interesting when they max this out and can't Jam anymore weights lower to get the ball up in the air as high as it needs to be for approach...
I love my PXG driver which I purchased a year ago during a promotional sale. But I had to go with Takomo 101 irons because they were more affordable. They have taken about 8 strokes off my game. If money were no object I would have the Black Ops irons in my bag.
They look like weapons James quite shocked you were fitted for these after you were using the TAKOMO irons for a bit . But each to there own matey if they work and you like them will let Gaz or Chris have your life 😂😂
Well, the 7 iron has 28° loft, so it is a 5 iron. Shouldn't be too surprised if it goes 200 yards... I personally don't mind the number on it. Seem to be good irons though.
Nice looking, I got my son a second hand set of core 2 0211 xp irons for £200 and he absolutely rips them , he's only been playing for just about a year and sends 9 iron 170 , what's the price of them? Keep them coming mate.
Looks great, but if PXG named them "Black Ops" then why are they made chrome and not black? The name and the color don't make any sense. Major marketing flaw!
When I got back into golf a few years ago I bought a set of 0211 irons. They worked great. They went miles though. I think they would make my game easier now that I have a better swing. Swinging easier but still getting the carries I want could be a good thing. If I were going with a more game improvement style iron then those BlackOps would definitely be on the list.
I am very interested in hearing your thoughts on comparison of the Ping G730, PXG Black Ops, Tour Edge E723 and the Wilson Dynapower irons. In the individual videos on these clubs you give them high marks for forgiveness, something I dearly need, but I would like to see you put them head to head.
