Muhammad Ali was named Cassius Clay Jr his dad Cassius Clay Sr was named by his father who named him after the man who freed him from slavery. As the grandfather was one of this Cassius clays dads slaves

Cassius Clay should be commended for his anti-slavery stance, but the video is full of embellishments and falsehoods. He didn't disclose the fact his cousin Henry Clay was in fact a slave owner Henry Clay expressed that slavery was wrong, but continued to buy and sell people. Henry Clay also did not believe races were created equal and believed black people should be sent back to Africa. Cassius Clay wasn't challenging slave owners to duels left and right either otherwise Kentucky's other President before Lincoln Zachary Taylor who was a slave owner and also had a reputation for duels would've never been President. Again Cassius Clay should be commended for anti-slavery stance, but trying to elevate him above Lincoln and especially Fredrick Douglas is wrong in terms of who was more influential in ending slavery.
