Hi Lex. I've learned to start saying No to the world, which is sad because it was very beautiful for a long time. Eden is so far away, but we have to keep going

thank you Lex, your vulnerability is inspiring and it's comforting to hear the same stories I have about myself. there's an audible titled ADHD 2.0, by Edward Hallowell and John Ratey, which has been really helpful to me; hopefully it can help someone here too

Question 1 answer describes my adhd too. Luckily the psychologist who diagnosed me recognised that. My hyperactivity is in my brain but there. And if I’m comfortable you’ll see it.

Definitely relate to all of that. Diagnosed at 33 with ASD/ADHD last year. Was told I'm combined but mostly relate to the inattentive type. The anxiety and sleep problems can been off the chart. Also being inappropriate or having mismatched reactions can create some awkward experiences haha

2:25 Does make you wonder doesn’t it if all ADHD people are secretly geniuses and just don’t realise it? The intense need to scrutinise every last little thing or detail, and the extreme headache you get when you notice something and cannot do something about it. We could be great leaders, but the emotional dysregulation when we want to do something or when something doesn’t go our way can be so intense that we often then just end up delegating ourselves to the shadows of a conversation. Or just being a simple worker bee, watching on the sides contributing bits or pieces here or there in a group or organisation instead of trying to become the queen bee as the boss or the manager. All that being said, i gave it more thought lately whether in relationships if dating another INFP really would be the right thing for me? Or would the passionate or fiery intensity of the same personalities both dating each other never work out? Can both still be the yin to each other’s yang?

I relate to all of them asides of the patenting side of things. I've been diagnosed with the inattentive type ADHD as kid, but that was it. Nothing happened from there. I've not gone to have it re-confirmed so far. I've no capacity at the moment. But no matter how I look at it and liatento people with diagnosis, I'm just sitting there checking the boxes 😂 And yes, I can really see how much difference I can have when I get support and when (my default setting) I don't. It's tiring. But well....... a step at a time! I (we) don't have to figure everything out at once. That's what the whole stretch of life is there for!

Do you think any of your "issues" are related to your lack of smiling in the majority of your videos? I look at my pictures of me as a kid, and from birth onward you can pretty much always see that I am spending most of my energy in thought, and it takes away from things like facial expression. My brother has been telling me to start a youtube channel, but my own lack of expression would likely make me really insecure about how I am perceived by "normies".
