The biggest issue with kiriko, which gets mostly unnoticed for some reason. Is her swift step teleport, this ability, which has a short cooldown, is essentially the same ability sombra got reworked for. She gets hate, because no matter where or when you fight her, she can always just poof out of existance without any counterplay.
Sombra could to across the map to a location she chooses. Kiri has only a set distance and has to have a teammate there to tp to. I would also argue it has similar amount of counterplay to Moira fade too
The reason why Baptiste doesn't get as much hate as Kiriko, is because Kiriko is just taking away attention from him. If Kiriko was to disappear one day, the most hated support overnight would be Baptiste. He doesn't avoid flame through being well designed, he avoids flame through there somehow being a support even stronger than him. Both Baptiste and Kiriko need to be redesigned.
Can't name a single part of Kiri's kit that isn't problematic or annoying to play against. Bap can't teleport away with 0 consequences when you take a 1v1 with him, and his lamp isn't even remotely comparable to suzu, the cleanse is ridiculously strong and has no place in the game in it's current state. Both are OP, Bap might even be a little bit stronger, but he's not NEARLY as aggravating to play against as Kiri is.
I feel like you completely missed a big reason why Kiriko is so hated. It's swift step. Kiri's suzu can be annoying, but the biggest annoyance when fighting a Kiri is knowing that if her team is alive that she will almost always live even if you outplay her. A competent kiri with an alive team can overextend as much as she wants and get away with swift step. It requires no skill and very little thought. She's basically pre rework sombra but worse. Bap's survivability is annoying but at least he has to actually do something to stay alive because his abilities only stall his death rather than instantly remove him from danger. Also people complained a lot more about him before Kiri was added, she's just kind of taken the spotlight off him.
Why is she more hated than Bap? Hero burnout. No one wants to see the same meta hero for 10 seasons in a row, at least Bap has cycled in and out of the meta enough to where there's variety. The only time I could even think of where Kiri wasn't S tier was the bastion meta we had a while back, maybe around a year at this point, even then she was never below A tier at the very least.
As a bap main kiri still stronger and just by the basic stuff, lamp destroyable, doesn’t remove negative effects and dps passive, doesn’t instantly heal to 110, bap shift is way worse now with dps passive, teleport is like another immortality ability, lamp in much weaker state than suzu especially since they nerf it to 20% if you don’t have shift after Pulse bomb tracer can sneeze on u and u die that 5% is very important
lamp does heal if you're below a certain hp. It may be destroyable but it also keeps u unkillable for a lot longer than suzu does so there are tradeoffs. TP I kinda get tho, I would say it makes her less diveable but realistically, if dive bap, he can kill you/jump up to high ground/buy a ton of time for your team to react no?
@@Tephrite lamp heal yes if ur like below 50 hp suzu heal 80 lamp biggest impact is not really keeping u alive the longest it’s instant impact of you not dying in split second like when u lamp in the open
@@Rennmi negative effects are cleanse that’s all I will say you lamp a crit target they don’t get instant 80 heals but nowadays it’s mostly 110 n that’s b4 evening healing with left click
@@Tephrite Thanks for answering, I main kiriko, and mixturing between 5-7 sense with 800dpi on kiriko Using 5 sense, 800 dpi on every other hero, but I am a high plat/low diamond player, so not really comparable to a top500 :)
roadhog is fine i dont hate him his fun to play and play against and like i think moira is hated more tbh op dmg and heal is braindead and the auto aim
@@Tephrite Haha, not surprised dude. I like the idea of damage focused characters like Zenyatta, that can heal and do damage but at the cost of being vulnerable and slow. Bap can heal a ton and do a lot of damage with no downsides 💀
At least she takes skill. Moira gives you incredible value for just existing. Losing a duel to headshots feels fine. Losing because of auto aim and a healing orb feels terrible.
