I see what you're saying and I could agree that if he was in my town breaking every feasible rule in the community, I'd probably be annoyed at most, but from what I've seen; I think if his authoritative oppositional act would affect a level headed citizen who approached him to have a rational conversation about it, he would probably apologize and move forward from it. He seems like a good kid. Unless the elderly individual approached him wiping a cane violently in the air while behaving like a stressed out toddler due to the pety crime committed, I feel that spiderman 2 would comply because I feel like he apposes aggression over just breaking rules as a generalization. While that is still, more-less, not acceptable societal behavior I wouldn't have a problem with someone dealing with an asshole by retaliating in the same way, but cutting lines or parking in handicap spots probably isn't within his line of interest as he superceded those kind of minor misconducts from the get go by scaling that tower, so I personally don't see his interest swaying towards the act of strictly being a nuisance towards anyone within his line of sight as that probably would bore the young lad. With that being said, I also don't see him going for the extremes too like holding someone hostage or approaching a store owner at the till while holding a firearm as his demeanor seems to me to express enough compassion for human life to stay within societal acceptance. I think he's found his passion and, if so, I feel nothing but envy for him because it is pretty damn hard to find something in this world that encompasses peak interest while making a living off of it. This is just my opinion of course

@@TwoGunToast I mean but that's kind of a baseless argument, you could easily say the exact same thing for the other side. ie someone being so strict about following the rules and norms, that they end up valuing these more than the people they affect, and therefore hurting them. Disliking authority is not the same as being an apathetic sociopath who will do whatever they please just because they can and they don't like being told no. What he's doing doesn't affect anyone negatively, other than that caused by an arguably oppressive legal and social system. In fact, he seems like a very empathetic person, which is a much more common trait among those who go against the grain - choosing to value the people over the system.

One thing I've always wondered is, how do they get back down? Like some climbs you kinda have to extend fully and I find it hard to believe you could do it in reverse. I've never seen a video where they climb down, just celebrating at the top. Like obviously the ladder ones you just reverse, but the unique architecture buildings I just don't understand

@Si74l0rd
@Si74l0rd Год назад
If the police or security are involved they'll bring you down through roof access to the inside of the building, if they can. Sometimes there are multiple people involved and you'll have some prep done, someone might have created building access for your escape by temporarily disabling alarms or door locks. If it's just you I guess you'd have to have a plan upfront, if you climb down again you'll get arrested straight away. If you can get into the building and descend fast enough in the lift or stairwells, you might be able to play hide and seek for a bit and make your escape. Storror show a lot of their scouting back story in Roof Culture Asia, lots of playing hide and seek with security on roofs and in buildings lol.

One thing I respect is that him and king and everyone they accept the consequences. That's something I despise in people when they commit some sort of crime so deliberately and then can't believe they get in trouble. I can sort of understand the motivation, he's pretty sure he's going to prison anyway and this might be his last chance to climb the shard. Glad he actually made it to the top hope he can survive prison
@StupidYTmakingNonSenceUpdates
Accept the consequences? Do they though? I mean let me lay it out for you. They are climbing a building no safety harness or anything, inside a busy city. With a crowd of onlookers both adult and child alike. They try to make it a sport, make it look cool and desirable to do. But amateurs make mistakes, amateurs die. When that happens, do these dead people accept the consequences of the damage they done to those onlookers, both adult and child alike. When those children spend years in therapy with repeated nightmares about a man falling to his death and the gruesome scene it leaves behind. Do you think those DEAD people, thought or even care about such consequences....i think they be dead. They dont do anything anymore. But those spectators, those people seeing your bones sticking out of your body. Those children whom HEARD you SMASH into the ground. I dont think they will ever forget the sound of a human hitting concrete after falling of a building. The only consequences these pricks even consider are THEIR OWN. I have NEVER heard any of them talk about MY consequence. You know what i hear all the time, legal consequences. Societal consequences. They only consider the damage they can do to themself. Never once do i hear any one of them mention anything about the damage you could do to the people watching and witnessing your death.
@peoplecallmepeechez
@peoplecallmepeechez Год назад
@@StupidYTmakingNonSenceUpdates I think they do, because you have to think in order for that to become a consequence they have to first die. And when you do something with such high risk I'm sure you aren't constantly thinking about the fact you might die but I'm sure they do it at least once before the climb. Indeed they are hurting other people and I'm not saying that is good but I imagine that that being a consequence is something that crosses their mind and that they have to accept. I don't think you can attempt things like this or things like free soloing if you don't accept that as a consequence. And they might accept it by telling themselves what will I care I'm dead which again is a shitty way to do it but you also have to think if you are a pedestrian that decides to stop and watch a man scale a building and potentially die you have to accept some responsibility aswell. If you are watching someone risk their life you have to accept you might watch someone die.
@StupidYTmakingNonSenceUpdates
@@peoplecallmepeechez children who's parents stop to look have a choice? The dude that works in that building and just tries to get inside? Did he choose? The dude who just got out the building for lunchbreak, did he choose? My point is not everyone who will see him die, "choose" to see that. When you do something INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS, in a urban environment. The people going about their daily lives dont choose to get involved. If this dude fell off that crane onto traffic below, would the driver have chosen or did this dude choose for him. The only points in your responce that rang true for me is, indeed. They may consider the trauma they may cause others and decide to do it anyway. But than why would you say you respect that they accept the consequences. My original comment was made to show this...think well about every angle. Because you say you respect, that they accept the consequences. Yet you clearly also didnt think about this GLARINGLY MESSED UP CONSEQUENCE. If not i severly wonder what your original point was. What is there to respect? Which consequences do they accept, REALLY? Look at every angle, because in a busy urban environment its not about the dude coming straight at you, its about the cyclist in your dead zone. Its not about the people stopping to watch the spectacle, its about the people that have no choose. Even true proffesional free soloing. If your going to such a location, you should kinda prepare yourself that something like that may happen. You shouldnt logically have to worry someone is gonna drop dead infront of you, when you walk out your office for lunch or when your about to go grocery shopping.
@peoplecallmepeechez
@peoplecallmepeechez Год назад
@@StupidYTmakingNonSenceUpdates no you are right and I did not consider the people going about there day in an urban environment. All I'm saying is you referred to them as spectators in your response to me and spectators seem to make their own choice but you are correct there is more people involved than spectators that I did not consider in my original post. What I respected was living life without fear of consequences and being your own ruler, but there is clearly ethical boundaries that should be considered that I had not in my original praise. So traumatizing bystanders is not respectable but seeing something you want to do and commiting whole heartedly to it despite the dangers or the consequences is respectable to me. There are many times in my life when I wish I could overcome my fear and do something and not be held back by potential consequences, but most of those things do not involve putting other people in jeopardy.

Listen to that call mate. Over 95% of adults best memories from when they were kids, is a memory in nature. As adults, and particularly in 2022, we’re more disconnected from nature than ever before. Ask yourself “what need is asking to be met?”. Maybe it’s to feel grounded, or to feel alive. Maybe it’s solitude, escape,’or community & belonging. Whatever it is though, do follow it. It doesn’t necessarily need to be climbing. It could just be urban exploring. I have a weird love for exploring old cemeteries. Nothing beats being in nature with my dog, in the quiet, and finding out little bits of peoples stories. I also feel comforted- it helps me feel that whatever I’m going through, I’m not alone because all the people who came before me had the same struggles, just in earlier clothing. @@Pocket-AA-Pro what is the benefit of clipping that Fassade? Other than that own personal, selfish fulfillment of the adrenaline craving? The thing with the seatbelts, you see that already is a step towards your argumentation. You can climb with safety gear or you don’t. You can choose to put a seatbelt on or you don’t. But you do it, don’t you? Again, you can climb, but climbing skyscrapers in public is not the same as a rockface, and with one I have a problem with the other I don’t. I have nothing against skydiving, I don’t like skydiving without a backup chute, and I don’t like it over residential areas

This disordered behaviour is a reaction against feeling controlled and lacking autonomy a struggle that millions of people go through every day and yet the only thing the people responsible for these feelings are willing to do is treat the societal symptoms with prison times. What’s worst, him jumping off a building because of accumulation of depression or him climbing it to his own risk just to stay sane? I don’t understand why our societies are so afraid of different people. Why should we restrain ourselves to live a life that is full of depression. I hate our world and that is why I wanted to kill myself a few years ago. Don’t say: oh he could traumatize someone if he fall! Because these people are wanting to push him off the edge. They push him in a direction of suicide!

im pretty sure ive randomly watched some of his videos. he seems me him lived the exact same affect in high school but the cause was different, i was a local sponsored skateboarder in high school but then mid sophmore year i had the exact opposite. i ended up int he psych hospital for going to commit suicide but a friend called the police before i was able to. prior to this was was know as the the wild and crazy kid who had very few limits(ollied off 10+ feet buildings or trying to skate a 15 foot half pipe when i wasnt really a vert skater but the truth was it was because i didnt care what happened to me....this suicide attempt would have been try 2 at age 12 when i tried to hang myself but the rope broke.......im 35 now and i suffer from bi polar, generalized anxiety disorder and nightmare disorder but im on meds and i see my psych now every 3 months. there is a long story behind why i have them which some of it is genetics as mental health problems run deep on my moms side, yes i mean real mental illness that will never go away and im never allowed to live with a family member or close friend) anyways i rarely went to school and when i did i could have cared less but i still graduated due to a special kind of high school in america that are very different than normal schools. i went from never being home to always being home which i turned to video games and then i started playing yugioh than i was playing it professionally for a couple years. jr year of high school i went to school 50 days until the last month of school and me and my parents had to go to the police station and had to explain my situation which they understood and got me into that special school where it was 4 hours a day for 4 days. the big difference i see between out stories in early life, was i was free as a bird once i got to about 7th grade when i started skateboarding. my dad was much different than other parents. i could pretty much do w.e i wanted as long as i told him and it wasnt too late on week days. this is how free i was, my freshman year my dad called me and my best friend who was over to stay the night and wanted to let me know about certian things....i was told i could drinkas long as there is a parent in the house and there ok with it(both my best friends parents didnt really care) and that if i was to do any drugs i wouldnt get in trouble because he said he didnt wanna be a hypocrite considering my dad was a function addict but just be honest with him if i do it and if i start having issues i will help u get him(he also said he rdidnt want it to come down to that which it never did because i never did any until i was older. sry his early discription of his life in high school was me but there was other factors that were the opposite and caused us to go the other ways of doings as i became a hermit who stayed insid and he went out but i started outside a lot but then went inside, i find it fascinating how close out personalities were in high school based off description but circumstances pushed us the the other way

ive never been scare of heights outisde when i was a kid....in high school i was skating off 10 foot roofs, i feel from a 15 foot half pipe form top to bottom and the worst was a minor bone bruise on my hip.....i was in a private pay to skate part and about 10 mins later i skated about another hours or so until my brain caught up with my body......i tried to go to school 1 day with cruutches but i said fuck that and i missed the rest to the week. i think the worse thing that happened was def a concussion and i had bad memory lose like it was blotches of part of my recent half year or so was very blotchy for 3-4 weeks and everything returned to normal. i broke up with my gf like a week or so before that and i didnt even remember dating her but i knew who she was because more long term i had pretty much no loss in memory. never went to the hospital but just did what i always did was wait and see. i hated hospitals most of my life with a passion. highest thing i skated off was the 12 foot side going up to the ramp i feel off but i was too long and my legs werent strong enough to keep my body up or i would have landed on the board. this is to hole other level of crazy, i understand the appeal and loved watching anything connected to it.....i love video games where things like this is a thing but iirl not for me
