I like the artillery, it contributes to the completely chaotic and helpless feeling that war brings

Recently played a mission on the Africa map as the British. One of our squad members was back on artillery and he was the sole reason we didn’t lose the point. We would be calling in fire missions and placing down pings. On several occasions he was able to drive back the whole enemy team. Best match I’ve ever played.

After that battle I got a medal for bravery and racking up 50 dog tags. However I still go down the same street everyday to throw some change in husks cup after his dishonorable discharge.

It moves me to tears that these soldiers were all using GoPros just for us to understand what war was like. I wonder how old Husk is today and if he is even still alive today. I think these videos are posted by his family.

People don’t seem to realise if you’re playing arty. Create a squad, lock it. You then have direct COMMS with command chat. All you do then is ask the SLs for fire missions. You can tell the SLs to inform their squads to stay out of the hot zones. If the commander wants you to pause fire he can relay that to you instantly. Some of my best games have been played like this. It’s super to hear the sheer joy some squad leaders calling in fire missions and seeing it happening its fantastic. You can turn the tide of games like this.

As a Commander, I like having a separate Artillery Squad with a Squad Leader how Talks. There's Nothing more Frustrating for a Commander, than to have a Solo on a Gun, wasting ammo, and Team-killing friendlies. Artillery is a wonderful Aggressive, Preemptive way of Denying a Sector to be captured, or removing Soldiers. But Engineers, are often over looked: Without them, You cannot Do anything is there aren't any Nodes being Build, Defensive walls are Constructed, and a Strong Logistical System to be used. Nodes Wins Wars - Garrisons and Communications are Vital !

I think in order to balance arty in game, there has to be another countability for using it. Recon is OK but then that becomes what arty was doing to their team. Reduce the amount of shells ? Timer? Amount of guns available?

Give me mortar teams that must operate closer to the line and need to build their mortars so they can actually be overwhelmed by infantry, and recon can do recon and not be on spawn watch.

Artillery could be usefull, execpt there is usally a solo guy, just blind firing into things around objects, and either they have turned of progress hud and so on, or ignoring people saying stop firing artillery, because I don't know how many times I've lost due too friendly artillery killing us all, bad & good things, people can't see between fingers and just wants too punish them so nowdays? Most of them will be kicked, only most of the time is already late

i had once 66 kills with that and then we switched to tank and it was 97 kills
