Beth Bartlett Yes Beth, the last name Carroll originally was O'Carroll, which was my last name. Many Irish whose last names started with "O'" dropped the O, when they came to America, so as not to be obvious they were Irish because of discrimination. My family is from County Kerry, and I visited Kerry many years ago, and happened to marry a Lynch.

I am O Carroll and I live very close to this castle. As irish a name as they come.

@@thomascarroll9653 I'm a lineage of County Kerry, and Cork. 3rd generation Murphy and Sullivan and then Mom was a Lynch and our G-Grandfather X 6 founded Lynchburg, Virginia. Kerry is definitely on my must go there list. Also Basque Country. Our DNA is strong in the Basque who are the primary early folks that migrated to Ireland.
