Just found your channel so new subscriber... looks an amazing place, love looking round castles and old buildings etc.. you’re very brave to stay the night though ! Enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching and subscribing Pauline. Looking forward to the night there. Perhaps next April... It's great fun looking around old places isn't it! So much to discover! Thanks for writing. 👍🏍
Great video! I’ve stayed there a few times and had a couple of experiences. On one occasion I was staying in the guard room (I think that’s what it’s called? The one that’s joined to the hanging room) and one night heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs towards the room then they just stopped - no one came in and whoever it was didn’t go back down the stairs as I would have heard them. Second experience was sitting talking to a friend and we both felt like we were either being pinched all over or had tiny stones hitting us though we couldn’t see any!
Thanks for writing. Interesting story about your experience there. I had a similar experience at a nunnery once so you're not alone! I'm really looking forward to my night there - hopefully soon! All the best and thanks for watching my videos.
Hello i stayed 3 nights at this castle. In the throne room or the kings bedroom. Very scary room said to be where the babies crying comes from. One night i was really getting the feeling that i shouldnt be there and that something really wanted me out of that room. Loud bangs and footsteps all night.
Hi there, thanks for writing. Good to hear you survived all three nights there. It is a spooky place inside isn't it! I know the room you stayed in. Hoping to stay there this summer if it's back open again. Let you know how it goes! Thanks for watching my videos. All the best, 🏍👍
Have they changed the rules for Youth Hostels? When i stayed at them, (Walking the South Down Way), you had to arrive on foot, bicycle, or public transport. But that was about 50 years ago :-)
Yup that's how it used to be. Now you can arrive in your car. £20 accommodation is amazing, but that is in a dorm. Luckily I snore louder than anyone else so should get a good night😆👍🏍
