There is a book which goes into Harry Price's life, his cases and also about the phenomena which occurred at Borley Rectory in quite a bit of detail. It's called "Harry Price, Ghost Hunter" by Paul Tabori. Trust me, it's worth getting your paws on.
Omg I got my copy of the Reader’s Digest book on Mysteries from my grandmother! Every time I visited, I’d read that book until she finally told me to take it as I was the only one to read it. And the story that fascinated me the most was the Borley Rectory account. Pretty cool that our grandparents helped feed our need for the paranormal!
Ive been fascinated by the supernatural since I was a little girl. I still have my Monster Ghosts and Ufos Usbourne book with the photos in that you showed.. I used to be so freaked out by the ghostly eyes and the ghost in the church. Im sure one of the photos comes from near me in Norfolk. Love your channel ❤
My parents also had a copy of it as well, but for some reason it went missing. In the end I bought my own copy and I don't mind saying, money well spent. That book was my first introduction to Borley Rectory, after that I got other books from my local library and continued my research into not only Borley Rectory, but other places as well. One interesting fact about the 'Folklore myths and legends of Britain' by Reader's Digest that isn't common knowledge. The book was published in early 1973, but ironically enough a very famous movie also came out that same year at the end of 1973. This movie was also based on the 'Folklore myths and legends of Britain', that movie was *The Wicker Man.* That movie celebrated it's 50th anniversary last year.
I have watched three videos now and i am a big fan of you already.This is just in my interrest and i also remember the feeling i had when i read the Usborn book of ghosts,it ignited my interrest in the paranormal .Many thanks for your stories.
Great video. Just some feedback: too many scenes of you speaking into the microphone. It really takes the viewer out of the experience. But otherwise I loved it!

OMG, it was that very same book of the Borley rectory (by Harry Price) that opened my fascination to The Beyond. I'm long in the tooth now and am chuffed beyond words that someone from a later generation was so entranced. Your description of the book's impact on you mirrors my own experience. BTW, there is most certainly life after physical death. I know this from several experiences, but most notably from both my mother and my father.
I don't know if your aware of this. After the house was destroyed and was in the process of being demolished. There was a photo taken of it and on that photo you can see what was a "Floating Brick." That photo of the Floating Brick was so famous that it even appeared in Life Magazine when they created an article on Borley Rectory. (I wish I could include the link)
Wouldn't you know I just watched the movie, THE GHOSTS OF BORLEY RECTORY, not too long ago. Did anyone living on the grounds of the former rectory ever report any supernatural activity? I'm a firm believer in the afterlife because there are too many similar stories of people who were clinically dead but brought back from the brink of death. Not to mention I have family members who had some strange experiences after the death of loved ones. Your channel is right up my alley, Hidden Realms Like you, I have been fascinated with the supernatural ever since I can remember.❤
The eerie goings on in the church and cottage suggest all is not quiet even though the Rectory is gone. I agree... there are too many coincidences sometimes. I'm going to look up that film now! 🎬 🙏😊
Just discovered your Chanel loving your narration 🙂 The site where Borley Rectory was, hasn't been built on its private land tho, if you type Borley Rectory into Google maps, on the basic map view, there is a outline of a C shaped building which isn't actually there 👻 If you flip to the satellite view, you'll see its now someones back garden, with a drive coming off of Hall Lane. On street view the house is blurred out, but its actually in the same style as Borley Rectory, probably built around the same time. The classic shot of Borley rectory was taken from the back garden with the Church hidden behind the house, on the other side of the road
@@Hidden_Realms I looked on street view before, but could never figure out exactly where it was, but after I watched your video, I was inspired to figure out its exact location. If you type "Borley Rectory, Essex, showing the gate where the phantom nun was allegedly seen" into Google the first result should be TopFoto, the gate in the photo is more or less where the gate with griffin's on top is located. Search "52°03'16.9"N 0°41'39.8"E" on Google maps and drop the little street view man on the pin, and rotate the view until you see the gate. sadly the trees in the photo are no longer there, not sure if the nun still makes an appearance tho😉
I had a good look myself earlier... if you go to NLS maps, you can get an overlay of when the property existed. There are 1980s bungalows now built in the back garden, and the site of the Rectory seems now to be a driveway and lawn.
@@Hidden_Realms Yes I was surprised by how big the original Borley rectory gardens were, it even included the narrow wooded area past the 4th bungalow and how closely the boundary of the rectory cottage garden and drive area and the 4 bungalows, match the original boundary of the Borley rectory garden. I found a site "borley rectory in modern photographs" which shows the site plan of the rectory and its grounds, it even shows the location of the so called Nuns walk, the area the ghost of the nun was most often seen, which is now the bottom of the first two bungalows back gardens. If theres one story from Borley Rectory I believe its the ghost of the nun, too many credible witnesses spanning multiple generations, also the footsteps and the bells ringing, seem to be a recurrent theme. Unfortunately as soon as the mainstream got involved things started to get exaggerated and skeptics will only have ears for that side of things. but its certainly a very haunted place IMO.
