Sam Worthington is an amazing actor and voice actor Troy baker voiced David mason in bo2 but to me I feel as if they bounced off each other’s very unique voices truly a fuckin masterpiece of a game
I was 10 when i played this mission. I was 9 when i watched ghost and roach burn, i was 11 when i watched price mourn soap. These games were so incredible. Now we have soulless cash grabs. I want our games back !
I might’ve been 11 or 13 playing this😭 not knowing the reality of the situation until I got older when you really realize how war and relationships is like within these characters
Usually celebrities can't voice act for shit, but Ice Cube really sold his performance as Bowman. I believe they even did a bit of performance capture.
@@lonewolf745 I know I was thinking how uncomfortable and terrible the feeling of being beaten to death by a pipe in the skull and still being conscious. Least it aint real shit would be a painful way to go
What are you smoking? Share it with us. Black ops was great but to say this game made cod what it is today is retarded af. Cod is absolutely dog shit now and has been for 5 years. Been playing yearly since cod 2.
@@meistergygas1465 every day you learn something new, when I wuz 11 I wuz shocked when I found out ice cube played Bowman when the credits rolled, also Ed Harris from the movies radio and sling blade played Hudson in bo1
When I first played this mission, my Dad was sitting on the couch and watching. When we caught up to the Russian in the cave, I can clearly remember him saying to me “sink that mag into his ass.” To say the least, it had an affect on him watching me play through some of these missions. His favorite will always be world at war, though. He still plays that game on the old 360 every now and then at almost 64 years old.
Bowman honestly a savage, all the way till his death, he kept it REAL! A small reason why hes one of two of my all time favourite cod (side) characters
That "You fucking son of a bitch." From Mason has stuck with me since the first time I played this game. You can hear the rage and disgust. Gives me chills every time.
You know in the intel you collect throughout the game he’s only in his early to mid 20s when this mission happened. Bowman was the youngest member known and one of the bravest. One of the saddest deaths especially hearing mason’s screams as he helplessly watches Bowman die…playing that mission, catching up to that guy…yeah I went through at least an entire magazine on that one guy…
Exactly. Most of the time, voice actors need their voice to sound perfect and without any imperfections within, but the dry and croaking voice cracks when Mason shouted Bowman's name really sold it for me and sounded authentic
woods doesn’t really shown his true colors to a lot of ppl but you can see how he acted when he saw bowman again and shook his hand. just goes to show how good of a man bowman was…
@@blaxk4940 I’m really talking about BO2. Anything they give us now will likely be overly complicated story wise with too many characters. They would just make him as a meaningless character like Yuri in MWIII!!
@blaxk4940 cold war got the shitty version of Mason and Woods and their sidelined, now Adler is like the main face of the BO series, Adler is great but they screwed up Mason and Woods big time
@@iluvrobux7658 Mason and Woods were screwed up in Cold War because they didn’t need to be in it. What would make the game sell… adding them in. They add no story to CW at all.
Bowman died brave and died a soldier for his country and I remember my dad watching me play this mission and me and him were both mad he deserved better 🇺🇸
You know, before bo2 revealed woods survived, black ops had a really depressing ending, with all of masons friends being dead, and his other friend, Hudson, torturing you for the entire game
Nahh hear me out , they could pull tht card uk “multiple dimensions/universes theory “ every got damn game/shows keeps rerunning the same crap just with lil twist But in alll honesty I hate Cold-War it felt 2 arcadeish& have sooo much cheesy punchlines like bro this not 80s action movie with thos big celebrities . Should’ve keep it like how black ops was wht do I mean …. It’s called BLACK ops meaning their secret warfare like bruh u remember first mission of black ops being invaders trying to kill leader of nation thru help with local rebellion then the last mission u get tht OG American ending with battleship & jets flying after killing A ROUGH general or black ops 2 where u go back during the invasion of Panama 🇵🇦 how their president got away bc cia deals ( real life he went into building but this game made it seem we was THERE Bo3&4 we’re just trash all in general except the multiplayer cuz COD lol
@lilmoose802 well let's see how they play out with black ops Gulf War that comes out I think late this year/early next year. Maybe bowman comes back or maybe he's just gone forever 💀
If they can bring back weaver, in sure they could bring back Bowman. Though weaver didn't die, he did have his eye cut out. And kravchenko was still alive, so anything is possible. Anything for a quick buck I guess @@XR3peater
I was 12 years old when I played this, 2010. Now I'm the age I wanted to be, but not like I imagined, not being a complete human being. Hope you guys are lucky out there
Someday we are going to tell our grandchildren that videos aren’t what they use to be. But we all are connected by sharing these moments in iconic games like this.
Lmao American lost the whole battle and created a games that described Viet Cong as devils, while in fact they invaded our country, killed innocents and tried to make North Vietnam back to ice age😂😂😂
I mean Vietcong’s need of traps and all kinds of guerrilla tactics makes it seems like Vietcong couldn’t play fair cuz they wouldn’t have won without all the tactics they used
Plus feels like you got your history lessons form a dumbbell cuz no They don’t make games for Vietcong’s and even if they did they were kinda devilish the way they fought I mean using people as personal bombers and crap like terrible tactics
He never died, he just had a very bad injury and had to regain his cognitive abilities again over the years. The medication he had to take and the treatment he received and long hours of sleep has made him age very slowly. After some decades, he came out and tried a new start and went back to L.A. There he met some dudes and they created a group called the N.W.A, that's why he always had such an aggressive attitude because the gritty rough warrior attitude never left him after Vietnam.
It’s amazing what they were able to do. I don’t think Sam worthington even actually worked with any of the other cast yet they were able to put this together like they were all a tight unit.
This was the first cod I ever got in like the 7th grade. Me and my younger brothers had one Xbox at the time after we had got one stolen when we first moved in so we’d all pile in my room and play it on split screen 2v1 and 2v2 when our other brother would come on the same tv. Man I miss those days.
I get chills every time I see some major story related content for BO2 because this game was my introduction to the series aside from zombies on BO1. Weather it was waking up early or going to bed late, I just couldn’t get enough of COD with the homies.
I actually forgot his character existed.. it’s been Woods and Mason all these years. I remember Weevil more because he’s the dude that got his eye poked out.
