I'll never forget the face John made at 11:49 when he stated, "Well let's just say there are no more squatters." with a bit pride or smugness if you will, as if wanting to add "They were taken care of quite easily." 😆

Geddes was one of my favorite characters and Geddes was part of my favorite mission in the whole game. When that swamp gang viciously attacks them as they were hauling supplies for John’s house. I LOVED that mission. So brutal and unexpected. John and Charles matched their unnatural veracity while trying to save the townsmen helping John as they were getting slaughtered. Tomahawks and machetes were flying.. such a good mission.

I visit pronghorn occasionally to see if he's standing outside to see if I can talk to him.

I wish they would have had more missions put into his time at the ranch . Basically saves the ranch from the cattle thieves and then you head off to buy your own ranch and Geddes or anyone you know is never seen again at the ranch ( other then when they bring furniture over for the John's house ) . Hated the Post office scene . John says in a low voice " Marston. John Marston " . Then apparently the only way the post office employee can remember the name is to say loudly so everyone in the room can hear " John Marston. Marstonnnnnnn " . When they attack John and Jack, I mad sure to only knock them out or tie them up and not kill them, Jack still acted like they had been killed.

I imagine Geddes and Macfarlanes finding Jack after Abigail died and he killed Ross, seeing him become a deadly gunslinger, only for Sadie and Charles seeing the same and learning John, Abigail and Uncle's fate while he fighting with them in Mexico, specially Sadie knowing damn well how a dangerous time Jack must be in

I wish there was some recognition in and after part 2 of the epilogue. Some dialogue when you go back after buying Beachers Hope would’ve been nice.

Yeah after I did the epilogue I thought that he was the most underrated character and only because he’s in the epilogue part 1

3:11 reminds me of when Arthur said to John, can’t herd, can’t swim 😂😂

It all amounted to John getting pulled back in and eventually murdered.

Geddes was one of my favorite side characters in the epilogue. He figured out John’s old life but knew John was a good man trying to get a second chance and forgave him.

In the pronghorn chapter I find Abigail insufferable. John is told to grab a gun and go with the other hands, Abigail gets pissed John defends him and his son from bounty hunters, Abigail says he’s an idiot. She has but one brain cell

I think those squatters were another test for John. There was only three or four of them. John killed them then ripped their house down before building a farm in the middle of the property. Dozens have been killed leading up to this supposed change, John has ended so many lives for this fine spot. To make it all even worse, it was not for Jack until he was taken. Entire plantations and chains of businesses got burned afterwards. When John left his family to hunt Micah, John only dug his grave deeper.. “Tell me your name or I won’t be responsible for my actions.” “Oh but you will. I’ll see you around John Marston. This really is a fine spot..” “Damn you!” “Yes.. many have.”

One of my headcanons is that John helped Geddes fight off the Laramies... which is what led to Ross deciding to bring John in.

I dont know why John didnt just say "im a cowboy". He literally is, he and Arthur has legendary horse riding skills, and herding sheep and cows, rustling livestock and breaking horses are something they should probably have done alot in the past, like its easy high honour money. It complies also why he can handle himself out in the world, against animals and people alike. It is basically his job and has been all his life. Most people out west is packet with a colt anyway. Still they think its wierd to not think that a 30-40yo man has never been jumped or had any trouble out west and is still alive to tell the tale. Thats why I also think the mission where they steal sheep is a bit wierd since they act like they have never done something like that before. If im not mistaken.

Geddes knew exactly who John was. All too well. Not only did he decide to give John a chance, he used his skills to their best. Also I wish you could offer to let the squatters stay in return for guarding your property. Ain't no way they're worse than Uncle.

John never once during an argument brings up the fact that she slept with the entire gang. Over and over.

I enjoyed the epilogue as much or more than story..story got tired quick with a so called leader dutch. 2nd chance for John and family and family bonding...house building, new start, missions with Sadie...loved it !

It's a good thing to be grateful but highlighting how a rich man (at a time the devil had less influence in the still new land) gives a man more then today's standard is expected to when in the 1st world people starve yet everyone lives at the expense of the 3rd one on one planet. Like Trinity make no sense. I know equality is unrealistic but we could do better. A man who killed at 11 4 the 1st who probably would be nice and try less dramatic redemption if the rich wouldn't be so greedy like the outlaw! Oh right I forgot the law makers are the same!
