Yall not listening to PG. He said they originally were offering 2 years 60 million(only 30 per) but extended kawhi 3 years 153million(51 per). That's disrespectful already. Then they come with the 3 years 150 million(50 per) after he's"proven" his worth. They were now backpeddaling and telling him he's a long term staple. He had every right to request a no trade clause because you allowed him to hit the market instead of paying him his worth Also PG didn't mind being traded if he got his money. The point is that if you watched the Dallas series you realize that he’s not worth the money or the guarantees on his contract. The NBA has become a shit show because mediocre players are demanding enormous salaries which handcuff teams and keep them from being able to fill out their roster. You have every right to ask for anything you want in your contract and if someone’s stupid enough to give it to you then you’ve earned it, but it’s no different than spending a third of your salary cap on one player and spreading it out over 15 years. Sure the team can offer it, and the guy can accept it, but that doesn’t make it any less stupid or damaging to the integrity of the league.

The clippers told Blake they wanted him to be a clipper for life then they went to re-sign him and traded him right to the Pistons very shortly after that conversation. If they really close PG they wanted him to be a Clipper for life the no trade clause should have been no issue as a sign of good faith regardless of what level he is on

On the Paul George thing, when the clippers told him they wanted him to be a clipper for life, Paul probably remembered what the clippers did to Blake Griffin. They told Blake they wanted him to be a clipper for life then traded him to the Pistons shortly after that. PG was smart to try to get them to keep their word.

The Bulls have been a small market team in recent years, Philly in that same has had an MVP & multiple all stars on their team meaning more national coverage, media discussions, etc. Philly’s market is bigger than Chicago’s as of late.
