Hey Turtle Nexus I've a question I found on TMNT Pedia some comics called TMNT Fleetway comics Are they connected to the 1987 show, the archie comics or they are thier own thing Please answer
Yeah, reading some of the comments and other videos to do with her about the new one. All I have to say is this if you’re so racist why don’t you just say N*****
@@Zeeboklown OC means original character, often associated with an independent work or fan fiction. In my case, I have a story about a mechanic who left school to support his younger sibling. The protagonist wears a jumpsuit that is meant as a tribute to April.
80s April to me is just like Nancy Drew. Both are redheads, both are smart, both use certain situations to their advantage, and both are a lot of times damsels in distress.
It's always funny when people complaing about April being a damsell in distress... well she's just a smol human surrounded by strong and armed mutants. What do people expect? April to wear a Marvel suite and fly into the air fighting bad guys with lightnings? Mirage April is more than OK in my book coz she was real, not the Mary Sue of 2000s.
It funny how Shredder pointed out that she always gets kidnapped everytime and in Turtles Forever the 80’s say that they save April at least one a day as the 2003 turtles point out a mutant banana which is absolutely nonsensical 😂 that’s never gets old as it is a running gag just like the red shirts in Star Trek
Speaking of Lupin, I think the same studio in Japan did animation for both shows, which is why April and Fujiko share resemblance. You're not the first person to point that out either!
Oh that was an actual fact from David Wise himself. I always thought the whole first season was made by Toei, but it seems like different studios were involved and that is why each episode looks slightly different.
To each their own, I guess. I really didn't like the whole thing she had with Donatello and the fact that they basically turned her into Jean Grey in the later seasons.
I wasn’t sure was this April supposed to be a mum figure to the turtles as that episode where Baxter Stockman turns into a fly, Shredder gave her a poisonous flower that had it written to be the turtles if they wrote it? So Byrne Thompson is the J.Jonah Jameson of the TMNT universe? It’s funny that in Turtles Forever the 80’s didn’t seemed bothered roaming the streets as the other versions do.
Good evening 🌃. I'm fan of April o neil 1980's cartoon version 🎤and tnmt series🐢🐢🐢🐢. Everyone have great day and next day and week and weekend and next week and full happiness 😊😊😊😊😊. Great video and keep make more great videos 😊😊😊😊😊.
Have you ever imagined? If 80's April o'neil Was An Angel 😇 Name Cecilia. With a blue dress With 13 shades of blue on April's dress. Blue Dark Blue Navy Blue Ultramarine Cerulean Water Blue Ice Blue Cyan Indigo Sky Blue Carolina Azul blue And her wings would be baby blue Would that be beautiful if 80's April o'neil was an angel 😇 And her name would be Cecilia With a blue dress and 13 shades of blue.
I like it, the jumpsuit was in the comics, it was just blue, and the painted picture you showed, tmnt #2 3rd printing from 1986 basically is her cartoon image in painted form, just the blue jump suit swapped out for yellow and her zipper pulled up a bit.
1:23 - 1:25 Let's see according to you it is not based on comics and its design may have been taken by David Wise from fujiko mine but I never know of any information or interview that says so, But at minute 0:00 and 0:07 there you can see that they are the character of the series, where do they get that according to playmates I change the design if it is seen that they were inspired by the comics of their 2nd Appearance (and color reprint of 1986)
I took that information from interviews to David Wise and Renae Jacobs. David Wise had the comics (before being involved with the show), but the actors had nothing to work with other than the script. You have to remember these were indie comics, so they weren't easy to find. All that David Wise took from the original April was her name and some story beats. Then he built a new character from there that would make sense for his vision of the turtles.
Sorry for the long wait. The source for David Wise claiming that April was based on Fujiko Mine came from the "Ultimate Visual History" of the TMNT book (2014 edition).
It’s funny how often people come back to this version of April whenever people complain about newer shows and movies that depict her as looking, well, absolutely nothing like this cartoon. Despite the fact that this version was far detached from the original version anyway.
@listentoaddisen3659 not really, they reference here but the only one full on basing themselves off of her are like the movies from 2010s and Mutant Mayhem and Rise April wanting to be a reporter in the Rise Movie.
She is the one who made my father much more open-minded about female characters in entertainment. And yes, he has considered her as the series' important HUMAN character. Yeah, he has giggled on how I've fallen in love with her as a fictional character. Especially how cute she is for a HUMAN being.
Something about the way they drew her...I had a crush on her even in the 80s when I was a good decade from puberty hitting. It's probably the way the jumpsuit accentuates the big breasts, which at that age I don't think I focused on much but I just knew she was "pretty" and I liked her, even as a preschooler.
2:12 come on man..dont sugarcoat it..April was a damsel and being portrayed as a damsel is the very reason to the story plot of the turtles for why the turtles served the role as vigilantes, despite being ninjas, to help humans which played a role in why they helped to save the city.
She played the role, but very often she would stay with them and help them. What I am saying is that her role wasn't just to be rescued. She was the one moving many of the plots.
I'm not the biggest fan of this April. This April was just an animated version of Margot Kidderr's Lois Lane from the Richard Donner Superman films as well as someone the Turtles had a creepy simping for. 2003 April O'Neil is by far my favorite due to how she was not just Lois Lane but more true to her Comic book counter part a scientist with ninja skills and more like a mom to The Turtles than a love interst.
The 2003 version is not the same as the comic version. You talk as if they are. If 87 April is a bastardisation of the comic version then so is the 2003 version.
@rattis being hot and a damsel with the middle name harriet doesn't equal better mirage april is a well to do computer engineer who helped build baxter stockmans mousers an antique shop owner and brown stone landlord, she has her own vehicle a Volkswagen mini bus, a sense of fashion in the 80s, has a surrogate sister Robyn and is a vigilante. The 2003 april is just like mirage april but isn't a living drawing, archie adventures april is a ninja who briefly became a mutant turtle, 2012 april is a telepath, and rise april is a mystic ninja
@@tyronleung5276 those other versions of her might have other things going but none of those things can compensate for their comparative lack of hotness compared to 87 April.
Yup I hate it Even Lady Jaye and Baroness from GI Joe have the same fetish fanart If I make 1987 tmnt art its not gonna be disgusting and unzipped Petition to stop fetish fanart of 80s cartoon girls 👇
@@MimebladeGMail I'm just not anti Lust or svx appeal, I understand if u aren't Im not judging but to say someone's preference for jumpsuit is gross (person who replied to u) is that really necessary
