They tried many times to undo the weaves of Fate the Norns weaved, Few could change it little like Freyr but fate seems to be unchangable howver, Ragnorak hasnt happened yet in the Prose Edda, the only reason why know it is because of the Prophecy. It still can be changed slightly, some may not die or the Aiser and Vanir could win the war if they either killed Loki or he doesnt betray them. It would still be a insanely bloody war, he we take the armies of the dead out of play and only had to worry about the Jotun.

freyja is NOT the leader of the valkyries. the valkyries belong to odin, however freyja did have a deal of sorts with odin so that she get a portion of the warriors brought by the valkyries they reside with her in her great hal folkvangr however she is not the leader (or queen as some ppl call her) of the valkyries
Actually Odin was a newer God that supplanted Thor as Supreme God....and Tyr as War God....So popular and powerful was Thor... People refused to abandon Thor warship for Odin..... I have read that Odin was a chieftain that was elevated to god-like status and elevated over Thor... And that's what I choose to believe
This is not part of the mythology at all. The creation story clearly mentions Odin being one of the three gods who killed the first giant and made the world from his body
Some of the story of ragnorak sound similar to the judgment of souls by God in the Christian religion. But with Norse myth Odin takes the bravest souls to his kingdom to keep to fight when ragnork comes.
A good video but you made several errors. 1. Valhalla is reserved for hero kings and the truly greatest of warriors the rest are split between Hel and Freya decided by how noble their character. 2. Thor is a ginger and all gingers are his "children". 3. You gave the impression that Loki was unique for being able to change his shape however all the gods have this ability. 4. Heimdallr is the father of man and is the whitest of gods he also gave runes to mankind. 5. Freya does not lead the valkyrie. 6. Heimdallr is normally the expert in unraveling Loki games. All that being said you did an amazing job as a great many people forget about Odin's bride. Also I'd suggest dropping the mythology tag as you are speaking of a religion.
just because you are talking About gods doesn't mean its religion. for it to be religion people has to worship it. Its all mythology unless you worship them dyamn gods.

Making him look better to the 21st century eye just separates Thor from the Norse mythology of a millennium and a half ago; it makes him a 20th-21st century Marvel icon instead. That'd be fine if it was on a fantasy channel or a comics channel but that's not what this channel claims to be.
@@ThanosDestroyeryearsago Non-Marvel or post-Marvel? As a kid I didn't see any blond Thor pictures until I was 15 and Marvel's first Thor story was published.
@Pelinal Whitestrake I'm not posting religion, I'm posting mythology which is what this channel claims to be about. If you want to be the theologian of Norse religious concepts then Thor on your channel doesn't need to have any particular hair color because he's an elemental diety and the important thing is his element, thunder/lightning. I'll respect that with regard to your channel but this is not your channel and I repeat, I'm posting about mythology here.
Were it not for Surtur, Ragnorok could have ended in favor of the Aesir instead of a Pyrrhic Stalemate. Could not a deal have been cut to give Freya to Surtur to get his neutrality? Surtur could enjoy Freya while Ragnorok occurs.
