The word "congratulations" is not appropriate for the recipient or anticipated recipient of a marriage proposal. Congratulations are in order for the attainment of a degree, the purchase of a home, the acceptance of a desired job, the birth of a baby, upon laudatory recognition or receipt of an award, upon surviving an illness, and upon retirement, etc., but not when a woman accepts a proposal or is wed.

Reminds me of how my BFF actually legit forgot to buy herself a veil which she failed to realize this until like 2 hours before the ceremony. I got to save the day though by being MOH McGyver and fashioning one from a hidden part cut from her dress (scariest part right there), plus a fistful of beads and plain barrettes her mom found at the bottom of her purse, and an emergency sewing kit. Iirc I also got some lace or ribbon from somewhere that made some nice looking trim actually. Most frantic sewing I've ever done 😅

My husband asked me to marry him while I was in my pjs reading magazines on the balcony. Apparently the dinner plans he’d made fell through, and he’d worked himself up so much to ask me that he couldn’t wait to reorganise everything. I had literally no idea what was about to happen. But it was one of the most magical moments of my life 😊

I loooove the first and third. They all look great. The one you chose, when you said it was flattering, I thought you meant your figure like your torso/hips area. Against the black wall, I can’t see it to say 😂 but then I moved my eyes up a bit and now I understand where the flattering really comes in.
