I've been working on improving my combat encounters without cheesing it. It can be difficult to be effective in a fight, as close combat is really random. I was just taking archers out before, now I'm doing a strategy where I rush in with a shield and hit to get their attention, they often aggro onto me so I shield up and walk backwards... this opens them up to attacks from the back from my guys.. they drop quick.

let me tell you a little tip. arm yourself with 150 arrows and you can take out any enemy, even a horde with headshots. kite the enemy far away and it will make it easy. i have taken all settlements surrounding the starting village singlehandedly, no helpers/soldiers... my archery is now level 9 and a half and i only have the armor that is one level above the starting armor. more speed is better... heavier armor slows you down.

i went south to the next part and was overrun, so i created a separate outpost and delivered 15 stacks of simple arrows to it. the outpost was located just after the bridge and i took out the camp there by myself with archery. i went from 1500 renown to 16000... single-handedly

I did unfortunately. The next tier of items and the continuation of the gameplay is just a lot of the same! Hopefully a new update comes out changing that and I may return for a new season.
