I have two pairs of African Rangers. One pair in Crazy Horse and one pair of brown. Excellent boots. Well made and most importantly, comfortable. Thank you for making a great product for a reasonable price. From the hard working City of Bogalusa, Louisiana, USA.

I love how you focus on reconditioning and making things as serviceable as possible. After trying out African Ranger boot had to get another after reading your pamphlet on boot care. I'm rotating between the two boots weekly. Thank you for making them.

I wonder if that upper restoration could have benefited from a *light* sanding or scrubbing to get some of that scuffing and scarring a bit smoother. Then using some good leather cream to treat the leather a bit more deeply. I'm not sure what the brown product is but it looks more like a dye or paint? Seems to give the shoe a brown colour on top, but does it do much to condition the leather under it? Educate me if I'm wrong in my doubts.
@JimGreenFootwearOfficial

Hi Aleksi, the product in video used is a Policream which indeed does possess renovating properties along with being a leather polish 💪💪

@@tresconik I wear lug soles for work because I work outside on steep slopes but if I'm going to be walking pavement I wear wedge soles. At first I was a bit apprehensive about the synthetic fiber midsole that is used on some of the boots for longevity’s sake, but I was wrong. They hold up well for a long time. I think it could be argued that they hold up better than some leather midsoles. Also a great bonus is the affordability of them. You continue to put out an honest product all the way around!

Just bought a pair of Jim greens on Amazon for 89 bucks on a Black Friday sale. Now I’m starting a job where I need both steel toes and metatarsal guards for it so I can’t wear them to work ( I buy rockport works for that unfortunately since Jim green doesn’t offer what I need). So I bought the Greens as a casual / weekend pair of boots. If you guys ever offer a steel toe and a met guard that meets us MT-75 requirements let me know and I’ll happily purchase a pair of them.

I have three pairs of Jim Green boots, Bought my first pair of Mean Machine boots on 19/11/2020. Must say this is the most comfortable of the three. After about six months the soles came loose from the mid soles. I have also sewed the soles on. Second pair is my "dans, kerk en nie werk" shoes, Town and country. My third pair is the reason for watching this video, African Rangers. Bought them 08/11/2022 and today is the second time I have to glue the soles where they came loose..

His mates modification is a sorely needed upgrade to the Razorbacks. I've had the soles come off two pairs of Jim Greens, one pair was brand new. It's the reason I stopped buying Jim Greens after more than 15 years of wearing them. I would go back to them if they sewed the soles on.

I am aware that I did get a reply about my issue with Jim green having a convex sole and that not being normal but if I pause this video at 8:11 I can clearly see the convex sole on this very shoe so I am confused.
@craig7887
@craig7887 Год назад
Prior to 8:11 the video shows a patch they added to the midsole. The patch sticks up above the old midsole. So when they adhere the new sole it isn't flat, it's convex.

Hope that clears things up. I am glad they wanted to fix the issue but I think this is the way it is designed and they way they make it would have to change in order to not be convex.
