Can't believe the Hornet Nest rounds didn't make the list. Been using an advanced coachman shotgun with hornet nest rounds and it just absolutely nukes everything. The bad boy will 1-shot nearly everything you point it at. Don't think I've needed more than 2 shots for even the hardest enemies I've seen so far. It's completely broken.
@@raimiji6052 Hornet Nest is basically explosive rounds on crack. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a bug, tbh. Kinda feels like each individual pellet hits for the full damage, and then they explode downwards and hit for the full damage AGAIN. It's just nutty.
What many people don't mention is to wait until you are level 50-60 to get these insane quest rewards gears, such as The Revenant. If you wait until a high level, the Revenat will have the "Advanced" quality which means that the base damage of the weapon is at least double compared to the basic versions.
I'm level 164. The level scaling doesn't exist in Starfield and all the rewards are useless, unless you'll get lucky and get a top gun levelled to your character. Which is very rare tbh.
I’m currently level 76 and I’m still using the Mantis armor I got at level 13. The lack of unique and better armor/packs is disappointing to say the least(yes I play exclusively on very hard).
I found a legendary suit that surpasses both mk1 and mantis for me. I obtained it from a captain during a random dog fight in a higher level system. It has better protective stats, reduced physical damage from a distance, 40 carry capacity, and weapons weigh 50% less. I play on hard and was lvl 27.
I ended up farming outpost guards for the UC Sec Sysdef Starlaw set, it was the only thing I liked enough to take off Mantis. It is a shame most of the cool UC armor requires you to commit mass murder to get 😅
The assault boost perk at the end of the tech tree is OP. Slow time by 70% for every fight? You unload a mag for free uncontested while they just stare at you with 1 bullet coming out.
i’ve been rushing combat skills since the beginning of the game and only started investing into other trees after NG+ when i saw that at the end of the tech tree i was like “well that’s blatantly unfair”
Give this a try. Use gravity well and a negotiator on groups of enemies. Gravity well pulls them all into a swirling ball, then introduce a few rocket rounds to the center of the gravity well.
The Va'ruun Inflictor is a great particle beam weapon, but you should try the Big Bang. This thing is a beast. This weapon seems to be bugged somehow, as its damage also scaled with the laser skill when I tested it. The only downside is that you can't attach a scope, but even though it's a shotgun, the range is just sick.
Just a note about the armor penetration skill, it only impacts ballistic weapons. So if you use energy, particle, or em weapons as your daily drivers then it's a complete waste of skill points.
It's the Laser Perk as a whole that's OP, the cutter is nothing without it. This also works with other Laser weapons, they just don't proc the fire as often as the cutter. The fire is what makes the the skill OP because it does percentage of health damage. So more health more damage.
it's only really op against low energy resist + high hp targets. It's kinda shit against humans. Which is funny because terrormorphs are always used as target dummies to show damage, and they have big hp and 0 energy resist @@ia177god13
both of the legendaries you get from the crimson fleet questline are pretty good. revenant (kryx’s rifle) just chews through everything since bleed damage stacks and deals percentage based per tick so it doesn’t get powercrept as bad leveling up
I got a legendery kodama with the explosive ammo perk and it's so good. Bet any full auto weapon with that perk does well, I got mine around lvl 10 and now at lvl 50 it's still one of my go to weapons.
I have 220 hrs, and I haven't done the story yet besides the initial 2 on game start. Just exploring side missions and fetch n quest and crafting. Powers?! Gotta go do the story quest I see. Nice vid. So far I've only seen base level hard target dropping at 147phys. While my lawman rifles drop at 197-225phys. Hopefully I'll start to see advanced hardtargets
I’m really missing my instigating hard target with hitman from my first play-through. Even the base model one I have in my current play-through puts in work, but my other one was…spectacular. Definitely a worthwhile gun. And I’d like to add one, if I may. The novalight can put up some real numbers if you max out weapon modding. It’s my go to run-n-gun weapon. The damage isn’t as good as the va’ruun pistol, but the rate of fire is much better, especially if you add burst fire to it.
I ended up in a situation where I was out of almost all ammo early in an NG run, but I'd picked up a novalight somewhere. I used that thing for the first time and was shocked by how good it was. It's a noisy cricket
I have a unique urban Eagle called "Solace" just found in the UC shop in my ng+, that I customized with a scope, a suppressor and long barrel. I'm upgraded to max lvl pistol, Sneak and shaarpshooting, sniper certif, Marksmanship skills. I kill most enemies in 1 shot in the head or 2 in the body. Quick and clean, they don't know what hit them in most case. Only issues 0.43 Ultramag are hard to come by. ^^
Cutter is the best weapon. Benefits from both Heavy Weapons and Laser Weapons skills, though the Laser is the main one. Each tick of laser damage has 5% chance to ignite an enemy, which does a percent damage based on max HP and stacks. Laser Cutter does multiple ticks of damage per second, unlike most others - it goes until you stop for any reason. It also has infinite ammo. It will melt a max level terrormorph in seconds with JUST the maxed out Laser skill.
While I really like the Advanced Breach (and I usually avoid shotguns like the plague), I was amazed by how nasty the Advanced Big Bang is. Most enemies don't have as much resistance to the energy blast portion of its damage, and the heavy particle ammo is reasonably common.
Two things I wanna mention TV, particle beams like the one you mentioned (Va'ruun Inflictor) are coded weird and actually benefit from both the Particle Beam skill as well as the Lasers skill making it one of the highest damage weapons in the game with both maxed. Also Hornet's Nest the amazing magazine perk available on grenade launchers and some shotguns benefits from the grenade related skill allowing it to do some seriously crazy AoE damage ( just watch where you're aiming!)
Any auto with the furious trait is overpowered, I've been using one that is worth only maybe 1200 credits it only hits for 77 damage to start but the furious trait just makes it hit harder and harder. It's like the splatter cannon in fallout 4.
One thing I've done to have access to end game weapons early is travel to high level systems and sneak into enemy bases to take weapons lying around, which are often the advanced version. Then I realized I could join the Crimson Fleet and in pirate-occupied bases, I wouldn't even have to sneak.
I feel like a menace with the hard target. I’ve been leveling my crafting skills so I have mine personalized for the perfect stealth build. I’m using the fluted barrel, suppressor, recon laser, and a tactical magazine. I don’t have any of the sniper perks but it doesn’t sway at all and ones shots everything except dungeon bosses
I ditched the Breach for the Big Bang in my first NG+ run and have not been disappointed. It annihilates enemies, even more so than the Breach does. Ridiculous damage especially with Armour piercing and high crit builds.
I like the big bang. It being particle gives you better damage against robots too. And once they start dropping you're probably already flush with heavy fuse ammo so that's not a problem either.
In general, using ANY boost pack is kinda OP since you can always escape melee enemies, get to cover etc. Especially since 80% of the planets have low gravity...
I currently am rocking an epic va'ruun starshard with max pistol and particle certs. The perks on the gun are Med theft (kinda irrelevant) and Instigating*, which deals double damage to targets with full health. I exclusively play very hard and one shot every enemy, regardless if they're level 130 or whatever. I have found one particular alien that must have insanely high energy resist, but this gun is just insane. It's also maxed out with the best mods in the game. The base damage on first shot is over 2k.
I found one of those Va'ruun rifles, and their melee blade while stealing a ship in my last playthrough. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the stats for them! All I needed for the rest of that run, was sad to let them go!
Question: The Armor penetration skill progression calls for kills with non-automatic weapons. Does this imply that this perk only works for non-automatic weapons aka my Magstorm won't benefit from it when its leveled up?
Theres just something satisfying about charging into a group, activating phase time, blasting everone in the face with a Breach, then all of them letting out a "Auugh!" and all dropping at once when the power is done.😂
Fully modded breech or the experimental one from the quest is the most OP weapon and the most used gun for me as well. I love my breech. Even at distance it puts down high level attackers.
Advanced Big Bang with Radioactive perk is filthy as well. The radioactive will demoralize enemies and cause them to flee. And once it's spec'd out with all the upgrades it can compete for best shotgun in the game.
I got an Advanced Malhotra early on that packs over 200 damage per shot, and it's suppressed. Thing hits like a truck with stealth and marksman upgrades on top of pistol ones.
I literally just got the unique Breach last night :). Another favourite shotgun is the Coachman but ONLY with the Horents Nest modification which turns it into a cluster bomb launcher but you need Weapon Crafting level 4
Try the shotty. I slept on it until I downloaded the inventory mod that shows dps. The base damage isn't super high but when you get up close and personal, the fire rate does the work for you.
Handy tip: Particle weapons (Varuun inflictor, Big Bang, etc) benifit from Particle beam, Rifle/Pistol AND LASERS. My non legendary Inflictor does over 1000 dmg. Also, don't listen to anyone about the cutter being OP, it's not that great. It's close range, so you can easily get killed before you do enough dmg. Inflictor on the other hand puts them down in a couple of shots.
I spec'd into essentially the "sneak archer" build for my 1st character. Even after getting detected I can just go around a corner and sneak again and send high powered sneak crits at the enemy again. Don't think I'm high enough level to get some of the better weapons but my custom lawgiver is quite good.
I have almost 200 hours on my original Elden Ring character, i have no idea how it's possible to have that much time on this game already. Incredible. Also, thank you for the video!
I’ve heard that the cutter becomes pretty OP with the right perks. Namely the lasers perk that adds a chance for fire damage on every hit. I’ve heard it’s one of the highest DPS weapons in the game
@Truevanguard..thanks for the helpful insight into the best weapons....I am enjoying them all so much ..and Tesla Varunn Inflicter and also it's Furious version are my most loved ones 😊 alongwith all those mentioned in the video. Thanks 👌ps : what a fantastic game 😊
one of the best guns I have is a legendary Eon if you can believe it. double mag capacity, incendiary rounds, and one inch punch for a lil shotgun wannabe. binary trigger mod with the explosive rounds means I can't see what I'm shooting at but they're gone by the time I reload 😂
one thing I found broken is throwing grenades on ships. I just find it hilarious to lob an explosive into the control room just as the door open, usually an instant kill .
Stunned, you didn't mention the Coachman shotgun with Hornet's Nest add-on! Even a plain white one will one-shot everything, even you, if you're not careful
For those at early/mid game, especially before getting the Revenant, use the Mindshear👍 and/or the Poison storm👍 pretty good alternatives.... Another good one for pistol mains is the Mutineer❣️ it's a space adept so great for space combat, not sure why no one mentions it! Am a sniper build and used: first suppressed scoped beowolf, then magsniper, next suppressed scoped hard target, and now assassin breach w/scope suppressor and slug shots, yes it's a shotgun but with slugs and scope it works awesome as a sniper👍 If u have shotgun perks it'll even be better, armor penetration perk is plus too🎉
Not disagreeing on the Revenant, but I got a random drop legendary magshear that had double magazine size, rapid (+25% fire rate), and shattering (bypass armor). I gave the Revenant to a follower. Sometimes random drops are pretty nuts.
love your destiny content, now starfield - awesome dude. Have you tried the breach shotty with supressor, scope & slug rounds? It's an awesome sniper. My weapon mods: Long Barrel, Recon Laser Sight, Short Scope, Suppressor, Tactical Stock, Slug Shots & High Powered
Got a purple incendiary pacifier on londinium that I absolutely have been loving over the breached due to the fire rate. I go in a room and jet, pop, jet pop. So fun. Will say that currently on new game plus and the weapon drops and loot or totally different. A lot more crafting material. Only seen one eon pistol and saw my first varuun weapons besides the blades
My advanced magsniper does over 770 damage, but my advanced hard target does 440. Somehow, my hard target consistently does more damage and kills way faster.
It's likely FAR from optimal but I'm running a shotgun lugger, exclusively using shotguns. Got me the big 4, A slug mag Breach, A slug mag Pacifier, A full auto Flechette Shotty and a Hornets Nest Coachman for the meme, honestly I hate it and wish it was gone, it's dumb. The flechette rounds deal %maxhp damage with their bleed effect and it's like 30% max hp over 16 seconds or something, ALSO it has a much higher pellet count. I think the flechette round shoots 20+ projectiles so it's real easy to proc the bleed effect but also the critical hit effect for -25% armor from armor piercing. So 1 hit from the shotty you reduce armor and apply a bleed effect almost always, then swapping back to finish the fight is ideal.
Some chapters would've been helpful ... anyway, replace 2:10 with Magstorm and 4:15 with Magsniper and you're good to go! Magsniper has a charged shot damage multiplier, that can't be found on any other sniper rifles! 🙂
I LOVE my Breach, its my baby. I always put slug rounds on it and then I can snipe with it too 😂 i also have ballistic damage and shotgun damage leveled up, theres not much I come across that takes more than 1 or 2 taps
Most of the combat abilities are really good, the only outright bad one is particle beam, it does like 400 damage at rank 10, at that point guns are usually doing that much. The only ones that are iffy are the niche ones like alien reanimation, parallel self, the precognition one, and a couple of others.
Cutter with lv 4 beam perk. You stack fire dam! Burn baby burn! You can lv that early in the play and never need to use any other wepon, it will get nurf
If you can sneak around without being noticed, the Avatar is much much better, that charge time really isn’t that much, and still do ok not fully charged
I've played 173 hours and found my first inflictor and also a painblade Yesterday at lvl 50 they might be common for you but for me those weapons just don't exist in any loot or vendor pool😂
