The way Slowbro got a buff but Lapras hasn't had anything in forever 😭

I’d love to see Lapras get a buff to her basic attack range. It’s just short enough that it feels too often you have to overly expose yourself to try and poke or draw wild Pokémon aggro, especially for a Pokémon with no mobility in their base kit (like Squirtle with Skull Bash)

I stopped playing Lapras after the last set of nerfs even though it's my favorite defender, until yesterday that is. I queued into a match of three attackers and a speedster, and one of them started spamming defender needed. I was going to lock in my go-to, Umbreon, but then I was like "nah frick this and frick these guys I'm gunna goof" and switched to Lapras. We ended up winning and I remembered just how much I love playing Lapras so I'm back to playing it when we don't need an impenetrable wall for a defender. Regarding buffs, I think they need to bring back some of the damage, or rework the moves to actually suit the defender role. Perish song is a joke and water pulse is just a tickle. Lapras's CC is pathetic and that's a big part of what makes a defender good, so what can Lapras actually do besides soak up damage? I've had so many frustrating moments where I'm trying to defend while my allies take an objective and opponents can just completely ignore me because there's nothing I can do to stop them. Not enough damage to scare them off with the threat of a KO, and no real CC to keep them out of range. Other defenders like Crustle, Slowbro, Umbreon, Mamoswine, Blastoise and even Snorlax have really strong CC in their kits for moments like these and Lapras... has either a tiny patch of ice that can easily be side stepped or some bubbles that hold you for like, a half a second? I just feel like on a fundamental level, Lapras doesn't work as it is now. The considerable damage output made up for the lack of control it had. To be clear, I do NOT want to see the return of release Lapras. That was gross. I DO want to see Lapras be good at what it was designed to do.

Give Perish song boosted between each hit before 11. If you wanna get crazy, give Perish song a stun if all 3 hits hit, and they don't die. It needs a little more CC now that it's damage has been so nerfed.

I think they could bring back its Unite cooldown and boosted auto healing a bit back up. Both beams are viable, perish song is a little bit weak, so maybe a tiny tweak there. It would be cool to see true damage on 3rd hit from perish but that would be very strong.

It’s crazy how well that early game went when you have a lane Dragapult in your lane taking points from you off the ground and even breaking the goal when you’re trying to stack.

Lapras buffs could certainly be used and I'll list some things I'd love to see, in Patch Note style. - Decrease Unite-Move Cooldown to among lowest in the game to between 82-89 Seconds - However, also nerf damage significantly to make it primarily a utility move > Lapras' unite is one of the most unique things about it which very much fits for its role as a Defender so highlighting this aspect will give it a stronger identity. - Revert nerf to Lapras passive, making it take less damage from strong attacks > Ever since the passive nerf its been noticeably less bulky and by buffing this without touching the boosted basic healing its a step closer to being an actual bulky Defender without fully going back to when it was OP, allowing for it to still rely on a little healing from Supports. - Decrease Whirlpool Cooldown to only have 1 second downtime between the next usage - Decrease Ice Shard Cooldown by about a couple or so seconds > Lapras' early game has always been lacking and its not actually that good at defending at this stage due to high cooldowns so these changes should help remedy that and levels that still use Ice Shard. - Widen Ice Beam floor area after-affect - When this move is used on your own base it'll cover the whole radius as well > Gives the move much needed space control and base defense. - Bubble Beam Cooldown lowered about a second - When this move is used on your own base bubbles will appear and last awhile around the base circle > Gives more instances of CC and adds extra base defensibility that is sorely missing. - General adjustments to make people less inclined to stack for damage on Lapras > Make Defenders focus on protecting teammates more instead of being All-Rounder-like damage dealers. With this collection of many buffs and a couple nerfs it should be moved in the right direction of actually feeling like a Defender. Water Pulse & Perish Song are its main attacking moves so I didn't think those need changes yet but if Lapras was still too weak after all this they could add a stronger slow to WP and a stun to the final consecutive hit of Perish Song.

Finally someone is talking abt it. Lapras was a pkmn i loved playing but it got nerfs after nerfs and obviously it came out too strong, but getting so many nerfs all over his kit, now its subpar in comparisom to other defenders.

I think a little more range on it's basics and water pulse would be cool. Also increase the additional pulses by one

The only thing I don’t like about Pokemon Unite is that no matter how well your entire team is doing, even if you’re so far ahead in scoring and taking down goal zones, the opposing team can make a complete comeback if they just happen to get the Rayquaza kill. It’s like all the hard work and teamwork your team put in counts for nothing.

I don't think it needs more damage, just more utility and survivability. Buff its healing, its CC, maybe defenses, but no need for it to be an all-rounder like it was!

I want Lapras to be buffed so bad. I think if they just gave it a low unite cooldown again then it will have the engage tool it needs to win team fights. And maybe buff to its boosted auto. It doesn't need much

I run Lapras with exp share + resonant guard + slick spoon and it's a VERY good support/defender, yes they should buff it back up a bit but by no means is it a bad pokemon. It is also very fun! I play with Water Pulse always and pick the beam depending on the enemy comp (playing in Masters 1650+ which I believe is a decently good rank)

Lapras is in a similar place to that of water bear. The devs nerfed them multiple times bcoz they were strong but got carried away a bit too much and nedfed every single thing of their kit. This resulted in both of them without a "direction". Like for urshifu its damage, heal, cd heck even his basics got nerfed this raises a question what should we play it for? You can't brawl with it, can't jump in and get kos with it nor you can dance around with it which make it feel like it is useless. Same with lapras, first his healing got multiple slaps along with its ability and stats and then damage. The only thing that is fine with lapras it is damage considering ita role as a defender but he just doesn't have the sustain to be the tank that it was supposed to be. You spend twice more time running away from the frontlines then actually being there. Playing it feels like playing psychic mime with less stuns and even less sustain. Just give them some direction/role and they will be good again.

Lapras was easily my favorite defender to play super fun. I think he's trash now, but I understand most of the nerfs he really was unstoppable

We don't need defenders nuking everything like they did in the past. Slight buff on Lapras boosted healing (2.5% maybe?) Lower the CD of every ability by 1. If those aren't enough to make Lapras feel viable, then a few slight buffs to her damage. but personally it doesn't feel difficult to kill someone with Lapras it's just her passive is basically Rocky Helm, but reduces the dmg instead. Maybe when it procs she takes 2% less damage for 3s?? That way she isn't just a counter against characters like Absol or Leafeon, but if high burst characters hit her she'll be more effective against other enemies within a short duration.

I think with lapras it needs a small buff in both kits and auto healing same for water bear its decent at best but can be easily out boxed by other defenders and not enough of a significant frontline for tournament play let alone ranked

Water pulse should heal more or at least give a def buff for each hit. buff ice beam freeze duration

I'd say Urshifu is the saddest nerf story. At least Lapras is still playable. Blue Bear is not. I don't believe it needs to much in the buffs department, but if they do the passive needs to be nerfed

I've actually been using a bunch of lapras recently. When would you want to use ice over bubbles? Cause i've just been using bubbles every game.

Lapras needs to be buffed so badly. Right now it does nothing, it has no damage output and it has no defender qualities, I mean the little cc it does is a joke. Also please buff its healing capabilities

If they are gonna leave the damage alone, they need to buff its defenses. It isn’t Tanky. Idky timi does this where they overbuff and or over nerf mons. It legit KILLS your motivation to play the game
