The game featured is 'Top Trumps Adventures: Volume 01' for the PS2.

I've never seen a game put more effort into the language select screen than anything else. Surely it deserves more recognition just for that alone. No other game has ever done that. A bio of the nation and a rendition of the national anthem belongs in a Civilization title, not a language select screen. If they can put that much effort into something so trivial, why couldn't they have made a real game?

All "Normandy format" countries: Germany, France, Ukraine and russia plus UK, and the Baltic states, they were all at some point colonized by vikings and of course their native Scandinavia as well, which is Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Finns don't like Finland being considered Scandinavian but they are, like, stuck between russia and Sweden for most of their existence so yeah... Most northern and some central Europe.

Well that last video stretch was... terrifying. Looks like the game just took an one-way trip (with no stops) to the card graveyard. Haha, it's funny because the game has an undead deck. But yes, you'd be better off buying about four or five set of actual Top Trumps cards than wasting all those Euros on this crappy excuse of a virtual version. And Ubisoft, I only have one thing to ask you; ....... WHY!?

Love the review, but just a point, I've seen a weirder language select screen. I once had a PC game for Asterix the Gaul that I got from a cereal box and the language screen had you pick from an array of pigs that were doing something stereotypical for that country. I'm not joking.

If I was asked to create an “Original” game, allowing me to work with an ACTUAL company to help me, I would do it. And I would do a MUCH BETTER JOB than anyone here. Even if it was a Mario Party inspired game, I, would, still, make it, BETTER! (I feel this is going too far) And yes, if you weren’t asking, I had a Thomas and Friends Top Trumps set, and this PS2 game is worse than the cards. As for your video, definite 10/10! To be fair, at least in in Dogs & Dinosaurs you can see the more detailed profiles of cards from the "Trophies" section from main menu, so that part of the game isn't entirely lost...

Playing the Top Trumps card game (or whatever other variation of it was made where I live) was kinda fun. At least unless someone used the one card at hand that was basically unbeatable - each variant had at least one of these cards that had such high stats that close to no other card could beat it - then the fun quickly ended. But making a video game out of it?
