This could be the MOST POPULAR egg shaped board that's out right now! Heroin Razor Egg Board: fasttimes.com.au/heroin-symme... Ichpig Hoodie: ichpig.com/products/strike-co... Ichpig shirt: ichpig.com/products/throwie-t...
Riding this 90’s shape that’s kinda egg adjacent. It’s 8.75 in the middle, 8.5 over the top trucks & 8.25 over the back. Absolutely love it. I didn’t like the last heroin egg I tried but I think it was due to riding a 14” wheelbase and AF1 trucks which shrunk the WB even further.
Oh true, I did see your video about that deck pop up. I'll have to check it out asap! Yeah that could be a possibility. Most of the eggs I'm riding are about 14.25" wheel base and I'm on Indy's now so it's definitely short but I have gotten used to it and it works really well with the bigger boards I've been riding lately 👌🏼 @@dadboard
I skate the Thunder Hollow Lights 8.75" axle with 52mm Powell Nano Cubics on my Razor Egg. Perfect fit. Wheels stick out past the axle tip by like 0.125" - 0.25" so it comes out perfectly. I feel in love so hard and so fast that I bought a second Razor Egg 2 days after the first just to make sure I'd have another the moment this one is wrecked. 😂🎉
Heroin graphics kinda reminds me of World industries decks, with having the Egg mascot in different themed graphics; like Industries did with Wet Willie & Flame Boy. I love it.
Another great video Leon, thanks for all the egg info! I’ve recently returned to skating in my mid 30s after skating as a teenager. Got a cheap 8.25” complete but just recently upgraded to a 9.1” egg/lozenge (from Death Skateboards, a UK brand, not sure if they’re available in Oz?) with Indy 159s after watching your vids!
i'm on my 4th Krooked Cromer 8.25 egg in a row. With thunder 147 and 48mm f4 spits tablets. My favorite setup. My 9.5 Heroin is just collecting dust atm :D
I liked the shape! A bit too big for my liking tho, a size 9 would’ve been perfect for my preference! And idk if mine was defective but it snapped in a week, and I wasn’t skating hard :( snapped doing a front shuv out of a lil kicker… ill try again in the future tho!
What wheel size does anyone recommend for these. I was given this same board. I put indy 169 on it and 52mm wheels. I have not rode it yet as im recovering from foot injuries. Im coming from riding transitions and vert style with loose trucks. I assume i need to tighten my trucks? I have a bunch of bigger wheels in the 58, 60 and 64 but didnt know if 52mm is too small? I will use it to practice more park stuff. I assume people don’t use these for bowls?
I always ride 54mm wheels dude 👌🏼 You can still ride the 52mm wheels, they won't be too small but you just won't be able to ride on rough surfaces since it is a smaller wheel and will be more rough. Nah bowl skating is better done with a bigger or wider wheel so you have lots of grip and keep your speed
I have the 10.75 board and 10 inch ace 80 trucks and it feels great I just gotta test the grinds tho but I love the egg boards have had many skateboards over the years and the heroin egg board especially the 10.75 one is my favorite board ever It feels like it’s a wakeskate sized board under you , any tips for the best bushing for ace trucks ?
That's sick man! I actually got that board recently too and have a video coming out on it this week 🙌🏼 I'm not too sure about Ace trucks yet since I haven't ridden any yet but I have a fresh pair of Ace AF1 hollows ready to go soon so I'll let you know what I find and what recommendations I have after riding them 👌🏼
@LeonPaxton I just got the/my new razor egg 9.5" and you're absolutely right Leon, this deck was 💯% made with 9" axel trucks in mind. The wheel wells on the new tri-stain model make that VERY evident as 8.75s fall short of the wheel well placement and bite- [ACE 60s w/ 1/8" risers, 56mm Spitfire Conical Fulls.] Fortunately, I also have a set of Ace 55s. I'm going to throw those on this deck ASAP. I suppose those with the tools and know-how could extend the wheel wells further into the deck if they really want to skate a narrower axle truck, but I assume the majority of folks would rather not fuss. Other than that, I'm stoked! The EGGcitement intensifies!
Oh sick, those trucks will be better suited for sure! Yeah dude, sometimes it's easier to not think to much about a set up but my madness always gets the best of me 😂 Haha sick man, that board is the best!
@@LeonPaxtonYou will love them 👌Word of warning once you ride ACE you won’t be able to ride another truck brand ever again, they are that good in my opinion.
I have my Ace trucks in my Antihero popcicle deck and both are 9" so those Ace's would fit perfectly. I'm really thinking about buying that razoregg with wheel wells but God damn that cost 99.95€ in Finland... 😢 This is expensive hobby and I haven't skated so much in couple years and prices are trough the roof. Well everything cost more now days but holy shit, these decks are going high as me when I'm smoking some high THC indica 😂
@@LeonPaxtonif you ever try the 161 thunders they are a mm taller than the 148/149/151 thunder. 53mm is like the perfect height. Not to high not to low.
9.0 egg board with 159 indys. Never tried yet Heroin board. If there will be available in my local skateshop 9.0 size Heroin deck I will give a try. We have this 9.5 Heroin deck available, but sounds quite a size up from 9.0 -> 9.5.😅
@@LeonPaxton ”Happy Hour skateboards.” Local skateboard company from Finland. Quite recently they released first shaped boards. Got their 9.0 football shape. 😃
looking for an egg board in my area n came across this one. 9.5. my foot size is 8.5 us. im currently riding a 8.25 but want a lot bigger. do y’all think it’s dumb decision as i have small feet?
Nah dude, that's sick! It will obviously be way heavier than your other board but you'll be way more stable and in control having a wider board to stand on 👌🏼
@@LeonPaxton same thoughts for me lol, but my local shop hasnt restock any heroin egg for 7 months lollll, its the only egg they have and honestly surprised it feels like my 9.125 primitive egg
It looks like a lot of fun. The only reason i stay away from them is the price factor $160 AUD is just to much. Could get 2 popsicles for the same price lol just being honest. Still really appreciate your videos tho 👍
@@LeonPaxton What bearings would you recommend for someone getting back into skating at the park? I want something that's gonna be forgiving when landing. I don't want the board to kick out from under me when I land cause the bearings are all juiced up; or pushing 7 times just to roll up to the rail like a slug. I'm looking for that middle ground. thanks for getting back to me.
