Rakdos is crazy powerful. I'm not sure how you missed it but its card advantage and a win condition. Also Satoru is absurd as well. Satoru seems like a great include for any reanimate deck or just to head one. Or blink, or ninjutsu, or unearth, or suspend, or plot. Satoru will steal games very very quickly, it needs to be answered right away. But Back to Rakdos, because I think Rakdos is stronger than both your S tier picks. Consider this, you can target yourself or opponent. This means you can dig for a win very quickly. Even without that you can roll the dice at finding an answer from your opponents. Even if they kill Rakdos, who cares he's your win con. Once you have the means you can win the turn he's played. Oh, and he protects himself.

when I saw the new Obeka I just opened Archidekt and built a deck right away. She's super cool, and you can definitly do some insane upkeep shenanigans. Plus things with suspend can just come out the turn you play them. which means things like Shivan meteor, arc blade or reality strobe will probably trigger on each of your turns.

Taii Wakeen looks awesome. I already built a deck around her on Moxfield. I got to play test it in a 1v1 against one of my buddies. Missed a few land drops (game finished and I only had 2 lands), but still won on turn 5 with neheb and pro face breaker lol

Displaced Dinosaurs would make Vraska the Silencer broken since your opponents creatures comes back as treasures that become 7/7 dinosaurs in addition to their types.

I largely agree, the only one that sticks out to me that I would put higher is Kaervek the Punisher. He's definitly on the lower end of B, but he has a build in strategy, which all good Commanders should have, but his has a few problems.

Can't wait to get my hands on Rakdos, The Muscles. Bro is the GOAT! Already built him on Moxfield, and I'm in love again with my favorite character!

One thing to consider with the "commit crime" mechanics and why a lot of them are limited to once per turn is that they don't have to be spells only. Permanent abilities are also capable of committing crimes, making it easy to trigger on multiple turns, especially when some activated abilities on artifacts for example don't cost mana.

I don't plan to make any of these as my commander, but absolutely putting vraska and possibly gitrog into my golgari deck.

People getting tripped up over Obeka, when she basically has the same ability formatting as Old Gnawbone... and we all understood how that worked. 🤷

All you need to do is look at how many "Win the game" conditions on cards are balanced by the fact that they trigger on your upkeep to realize how broken Obeka is.

I think that Ghired and Obeka are dark horses to become the best Commanders from this set. There seems to be a lot of possibilities with these two.

Jem can play Foretell as well as plot. Then you can also play X has flash effects like Shimmer Myr with vehicles that you can bring in to ruin an attacker's day.

Will Roaming Throne help to double the Crime triggers or do they not work from the once per turn effect?

Tiny bones should have had an ability that costs blue mana. Nothing too powerful but it would do so much better in dimir.

Honest Rutstein does not say "from hand", you can just tutor for Mystic Forge and get casting 1 CMC artifact creatures off the top.

Roxanne doesn't strike me as a particular powerful commander, but she seems like an incredibly good fit as a lieutenant in a Svella, Jolene or Wulfgar deck.

Jem Lightfoote can be used in combination with plots, foretell, adventures, suspend, and flashback cards.

I'm excited to build a Bonny Pall deck. I mean for the artwork alone it should be in B tier hahaha. Also it's not a recycled character from the magic universe with a cowboy hat and a slight twist to what their other cards do.

Can we go deeper into why Eriette is salty? The auras have to be the same or higher casting cost of what it’s stealing. Eriette dying doesn’t get you your things back. But removing the aura does. Or killing the thing they stole puts it back into your graveyard or command zone if they steal your commander. It’s powerful sure! But nothing compared to Miss wipe the board Judith for example. Stealing and goad are two things I can’t for the life of me understand why people lose their minds over.

Kellan is meant to be used with Adventures and plotted cards. Doc Aurlock offers a cost reduction for the deck and makes it easier to ramp or cheat things in with Kellan’s effect.

fblthp in my opinion is underrated. storm, counterbalance, swindler's scheme, any untap land cards (i.e. Great whale, cloud of Faeries, etc.), brainstorm (or any card draw, but specifically brainstorm as it lets you plot stuff from your hand by putting it atop your deck), and possibly anything that lets you cast sorceries at instant speed (we cant know how this will interact until the official ruling, but I assume it'll work, and if it does then hurkyl's final meditation will be great as you dont pay the extra 3 mana bc of the nature of plotted cards) all synergize very well with him. Idk we will see, but I do understand the downside to one mana color, and low toughness. The idea though is you can cast and plot with your mana, and then untap it all with plotted untap land cards (i.e. great whale, cloud of faeries, etc.), pass turn, and counter everything with the untapped lands, and repeat. Seems like some pretty solid control to me. As mentioned above do yall think that if I play vedalkin orrery, it will let me cast plotted cards as instants? If so counterspells can then be plotted. Which sounds great to me.

I agree with your assessment on how to us the S tier. S should be things that are OP, will be game warping, and shouldn't have been printed as is. Being good should just be A. In a perfectly designed set, there should be no S tier.

I'm sorry, but I hard disagree on Jolene being in D tier. She is B, I'd not A. It feels like Mitch read that first ability and immediately wrote her off, forgetting that Red and Green have access to the most, and best, treasure token generation in the game. Edit: I am incorrect on Green being in the running for the most (13 sources), compared to Black (32) and Colorless (26), but it's still some of the best, considering you have cards like Tireless Provisioner, Old Gnawbone, and Crack Open/You Find Cursed Idol. And red just straight up has more than all others combined. So, yeah, I still stand by what i said.

I think ertha jo is definitely one of the strongest commanders in the set, while yes, it is limited to boros. There are still a lot of very strong effects you can utilize. For example, how does double mindslaver sound? While yes its incredibly boring, but hey double humble defector sounds nice.

I think Jasper is a bit underrated. the amount of rogue/pirate and so forth tokens you can make can get pretty crazy and with every table having at least one mothman I think this could easily mill out at least one or two opponents and get the rest with a go wide rogues or pirates strategy.

Rakdos is four mana for a 6/5 flample. How the heck it’s not top of B tier even without its ability to steal stuff, never mind it’s baked in protection, is nuts. The things overall power without its abilities is crazy given its cost and being in red black. The thing can come down turn 3 very very easily, and just start wrecking face.

Gisa seems so abusable. There are so many random artifacts that target things. Things like Unlicensed Hearse, Codex Shredder, and Urza's Glasses to name a few. You can easily get a board that is reliably triggering her every turn. Now all you need is an Amulet of Vigor so the zombies can block before your next turn.

Nice list overall, but personally, I would put Fortune, Loyal Steed in the D-tier and Vraska, the Silencer in the S-tier. Fortune gives you 2 extra ETB per turn and only at end of combat, and it's in mono white, so no extra-combat steps available. There is also no guarantee that it will even survive combat, being a 2/4. And if you aim to make it voltron-y, you have to re-equip everything because it always exiles itself. White also being the weakest mono color really lets it down, imho. Vraska is S-tier, imho, because you get to keep any and all abilities on those "creature-treasures", not just ETB- or dies-abilities. All static abilities and activated abilities also stick around. You already mentioned Devoted Druid, but you can also get creatures that let you play extra lands, kill more creatures, give all your stuff haste etc. And I don't really buy the "your opponents need to play the right stuff"-argument. Creatures are played for their abilities, period. The amount of times where you'll play against 3 creature-less control decks and/or Ruxa deck will probably remain zero, even if you start playing with Vraska as soon as she is released for 5 games a day until our sun stops functioning 5 billion years from now.

For Jem Lightfoot, the point is that you cast cards from exile with foretell or plot etc. and still draw the card each turn, so even though the commander wouldn't be powerful, the deck could still be interesting.

Riku is not A tier. Modal spells are by and large overcosted for their effects, and all of his effects are done better by other spellslinger commanders who can actually run good cards and gain benefits from cantrips. No one is impressed by getting an impulse draw, a bad token, and a 1/1 counter from playing a fiery confluence and not having enough mana to do anything else.

UnderEstimating Calamity, Galloping Inferno when the card is a 6 mana win the game card if not answered. Goes infinite with a good chunk of ur deck. Especially copying Dockside and abusing it with Aggravated assault or Port Razer.

Marchesa is S Tier as a control commander. This is an S Tier. You add an urabrask and you get that affect for free.

I don't know how to feel about a power level tier list in a casual format like commander, but I think commanders like Miriam is a straight A for me, she pretty much enables a cheap and straightfoward deck using the mounts from the expansion and even a few vehicles from other expansions to make up for the lack of mount density, while commanders like Malcom, who is just a generic investigate is up there with her, I don't think they should share a position.

My brother in Christ, you put AI Scorpion man and Ghired in S Tier but Rakdos and Tai Wakeen in B Tier. These are serious questions: Do you actually read the cards, and how extensive is your knowledge of the options available to each color? Tai Wakeen is extremely aggressive, damn near cedh viable. Hell, im building a Tai Wakeen CEDH deck just to see how it goes. 2 mana, mass card draw, no cap on the trigger, built in ability to manipulate your cards to trigger her ability. The deck is basically removal, removal, and more removal until you draw your big finisher. Rakdos is in red and black. Red and black, my guy. The colors known for shit not staying dead and having reanimator/ clone shenanigans. Rakdos combo mill out is exactly the gameplan, not a niche build. Like, bro, you mentioned Crystalline Crawler earlier in the video, but ignored the fact that it goes infinite with Mikeaus and a sac outlet? Kikki-Jikki, Zealous Conscript?
