I just recently purchased the ozmo 950. I'm very impressed with its work and features. It's been doing such a great job that i haven't brought out the dyson since. One selling point was the battery life. I can put it on max+ when needed and still do the whole house in one go. Awesome vac. Thanks for the video.

Yes I mapped my entire 2800 sqft home on the Max+ mode, the mopping and battery life phenomenal. The navigation has been improved over the R95 I previously owned. Thanks for watching 😆

Yes it is an awesome vac, but the documentation it comes with is just pitiful. It also has a tendency to lose/corrupt maps too, which is annoying. The build quality is very good, but the software could be better. Guess I would rate it 7~8 stars out of 10.

I have been in touch with ecovacs support regarding theses issues (actually the reason I made these videos in the first place). Their only solution was to re-scan my apartment which did not resolves anything. Very disappointing since I really wanted it to work due to the advanced carpet detection system.

Yes I see now, the Roborock relies more on the navigation from the Lidar as the Ozmo uses its physical bump sensor. I did do a test with glass object and black objects and the Roborock ran into them, if the object was a different color the robot would maneuver around without touching them.

I’m undecided on this Deebot for $349 or Roborock S6 for $379 - what would you recommend?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 года назад
Well it depends on what model of deebot it is. If it the Ozmo 920 and you have a larger home than I would recommend the S6 since it has better battery life. Keep in mind the S6 has a gravity feed mopping system where the Deebot has an electronic mopping system. As for the App integration and navigation the Roborock is better. One thing the Ozmo has is the active carpet avoidance sensor. So it boils down to how big your home is, if you plan on doing a lot mopping.

I have been trying to get my Osmo 950 to connect to the ecovacs app on my iphone 6 . It says in the beginning it has connected to the phone, but after it goes through the setting it up, at the last 95% or thereabouts, it says, "cannot connect, error message 406.10025.:" YET 4TIMES,( one I had to pick it up and place down,) the other three times it has taken off, vacuumed the house in three hours until battery went flat, and it returned to base. The last couple of times it has been sitting under the router, I have had reams of standard directions to get it going, but I cannot do any mapping because of the 'not connected problem". It vacuums satisfactorily, I have not used the shampoo facility as of yet. It does at times seem a bit confused, going around in circles, but I put this down to not having been able to have a floor map set. If it is working, then it must be connected to network, surely, why then is it not connecting into phone.?? I have spend days and days on trying to find the answer.I do not do facebook, but if anyone has an answer, it would be appreciated. I have had a chap look at network, he is well experienced, and there is nothing wrong with the network, all other devices in home work without any problems.???????

The 950 has carpet Avoidance in mopping mode, where the S5 max will go on your carpet despite having the mopping attachment on. Nice video. Who got to throw the (I assume empty!) box at you at the start? I’d never heard of Ozmo before and this is the first bot I’ve seen that can vacuum and wet-mop in the same run. So much quicker and more cost effective than an i7/s9 plus m6 double act or having to manually vacuum/sweep before setting off a mopping robot. This might be perfect for me. Is there any competition in terms of other Robots that can vacuum up dust and wet-mop at the same time?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
Hahaha I actually threw the box at myself, a quick edit shot 🤔😆. There are a lot of good hybrid robots that can vacuum and mop, Viomi V2 Pro, Roborock series like the S5 Max, S6 and S5, a lot cheaper robots have this capability too at less than $200. Keep in mind the Viomi V2 Pro offers a dedicated mopping pattern so it better for harder stains, where as the other robots are designed for light or maintenance duty mopping jobs.

The no mop zone function is really confusing, when setting a no mop zone, does it means no vacuum zone also? I ask this cos from your video, the robot only clean up the area when you remove the no mop zone

The Ozmo will automatically avoid carpet when the mopping pad attached. The vacuuming and mopping is still active. When you remove the mopping pad the robot will go onto the carpet and vacuum. The no mop zones the robot won’t mop but will vacuum only in that area.

So the 960 is the newer model but here a couple of things about the 960. Has a smaller batter at 3600 mAh so shorter runtime. From what I can tell the mopping attachment is not electronically controlled like on the 950. The 960 despite having the Navigation camera uses the old App so no multi map saving and less Map features. I know Deebot mention providing an update for the 960. I think the 960 isn’t suppose to be an upgrade over the 950 more of a robot that can avoid cables and shoes and offer the Mopping and Vacuuming. The 950 offers longer runtime, electronically controlled mopping module and more Mapping features.

What is a difference in navigating pattern, cleaning speed, finding home base for recharge etc. I'm wondering if this is a real, practical improvement of iadapt2.0 in Roomba 900 series.
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
So the 900 iAdapt series is quicker when doing a whole house cleaning over the iAdaot 3.0 i7 and s9. The reason behind this is the 900 spends less time going around the edges. There is a option called edge clean which the robot will seek out the edges. The iAdapt 3.0 system will change its cleaning patterns based on the shape of the floor plan to improve efficiency.

Nice robot, but the price seems a bit much for what it is - a lesser known brand without a clean base. I think I'd take Roborock if I were looking for something like this. How do you think this compares to RR (both mopping & vacuuming)?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
So I will do a head to head comparison with the Roborock S5 Max. Just got the S5 Max today. But from what I experienced so far they are very similar, except the Ozmo has longer battery life and a higher CFM

Is it better than s5 max?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
It depends, they both have very similar mopping and vacuuming performance. The Ozmo 950 has longer battery life around 200 minutes and 24 cfm suction. The S5 Max has better navigation and mapping

Well, the most powerful is Electrolux Trilobite with 43cfm. But still, this is way cheaper than trilobite.
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
Yeah I saw that, the Nicad battery were huge 😁, remember the old RC days. I was shocked that the robot had advance sonar sensors and the high CFM. Some newer robots are going to offer 3,000 pA

@RobotMasters 4 года назад
Yes, as the technology has been here for awhile the price will go down. The LG and Bosch are over 2,500 retail

@@RobotMasters my Trilobite 2.0 is now totally dissasemmbed, and i just need to wash all plastics and clean the motors and electronics, and replace the faulty bumper switch. Hopefully then it will works. Trilobite has massive metal brushroll, and the brushroll motor is the same motor like from 18v drill. So i think, it is really powerfull, and with that combination of bldc PAPST 90w motor, it must clean everything. Just the microfilters electrolux says needs to be replaced after every cleaning the bin. Like bags in CleanBase. But i think if i always clean it with compressed air, it would be okay. Just my Trilobite is missing the pre-motor filter and the special styfoam to reduce sound. Soon i will buy more filters and that pre-motor filter. Best thing is i got that Trilobite for about just 25$. Which is really great value. Well, that problem the seller don't sayd it does not work, and he was just saying, it needs new battery i now okay. Seller give back 20$. So i got used, with missing parts,dirty, and broken Trilobite for just 5$. That is why I'm collecting used and old robotic vacuums. :D

@@RobotMasters yeah, i don't have got that much money so I just have fun with old used robots. Another reason is because i like cleaning all of that stuff out, repairing and renovating that robots. And pls don't get rid of Deebot d77. You can have it on shelf like the oldest robot vacuum in your collection. Well, and it looks cool. Plus you can use it's dock's vacuum to clean other robots. :D And if you can, buy some really cheap robot vacuums, like the PureClean, which looks simillar to my Sencor Nain, and has the same bin, and let it clean somewhere on the road, and record the people's reaction. I think it could have pretty a lot of views. Like this video on this site: tn.nova.cz/clanek/upgrade/upgrade-roboticke-vysavace-v-zatezaku-na-brigade-u-popelaru.html It is in czech but it is pretty funny :D

@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
Hi so I had a change in model lineup which I am working with one of my partnerships to get the Alfawise v10 Max on this channel. It may be latter this year. The current line up is the Deebot 950, Roborock S6, Trifo Max and maybe the Viomi V2 Pro.
@michaeltechreviews5390
@michaeltechreviews5390 4 года назад
@@RobotMasters I currently have the Trifo m6 but I am not impressed so far, I pre-ordered the alfawaire v10. I need alternative of my roborock s5 because my dog have loose alot of fur on the ground and the main brush dont like it lol. The alfawise have a single port suction without Brush system and 2200pa.
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 4 года назад
I see, single port suction only are good on hardwood floors and can pickup light debris like powder and small bits of hair. Hopefully I can get an Alfawise soon, will reach out and see if they can send me one.

@@michaeltechreviews5390 As a solution you might want to buy a brush designed for the Roborock S6, S4, and S5 Max, it has detachable side tips. I have long hair and such brush is a huge deal for me. Couldn't be happier with it.

@@RobotMasters My advice - do not get the Viomi. The product is not supported by the company, updates are rare, its Facebook page seems to be abandoned, the app is okay but hard to understand because of broken English. The robot itself is not bad but customer service and everything related just not the best for the price.
