On top of that they have Sasuke who is almost equal to Naruto. Next they have Guy and Lee... And we saw potential of gates in the final war. There is no power balance remaining among the nation's...

In Itachi Shinden, Mukai Kohinata's family split off from the Hyūga clan several generations before his birth, leading most to assume his bloodline was too diluted to possess the Byakugan. Mukai does in fact have a Byakugan, but only in his left eye and which only resembles a Byakugan when in use. This where Ao get his byakugan from.
Honestly, the second one doesn't make sense. Why did they have to scapegoat someone? The hidden leaf has to protect its citizens. Doesnt make sense. What would keep the hiden cloud from asking more hyugas?
They wouldn't have asked for more. Even when you have the advantage, pushing someone to the wall is dangerous. That's kidnappers release the kidnapees in most cases after receiving the money even though they can ask for more.

Hyugas are ruled by the first born children of the main branch family. Second born children are relegated to lower branch families, this keeps the bond close enough to maintain control and order. Thus preventing revolts within the clan. That’s why the main branch family was afraid of Neji Hyuga. The most powerful jutsus were kept exclusive for the main family. But Neji (born as a lower family member) not only surpassed them in skill and talent, he developed his own Justus wich rivalled the main family jutsus.

If they truly wanted to protect the Byakugan that seal would be on the main branch members as well. Given Ao is a mist ninja and that village has historically been hostile to kekkei genkai users. I wouldn't be surprised if more main branch members get sent near that area, because if they get jumped by an enemy ninja it would likely be a mist ninja. Most likely who's first thoughts when seeing a hyuga would be to kill it. While every other village would think how to get the Byakugan. Ao on the other hand thinks like the other villages so had the best opportunity to get one.
The "Head Ninja of Kumogakure" is basically a plothole as he wasn't the Raikage as we know who all the Raikage were. He was probably either acting Raikage before the 4th, or more likely just a Head Envoy.
Hiruzen was great Warrior not a Leader. On his reign there were a lot of preventable and unnecessary deaths , such as the Uchiha ultimate rival of the Hyuga at the time.

In the third Shinobi war, Ao successfully killed a Hyūga Clan member (most probably from head family, cos the brach family seal will seal the Byakugan.) and managed to take the Byakugan for himself, that’s how he got it
Ao got his Byakugan from a fallen Konoha Shinobi during the third great ninja war. While they never mentioned who it was, it's not only wwise to assume that it was the former head oof the clan which will be Hinata's grandfather since his story was not really told in the series.

I never understood the hype behind the byakugan. It’s a dope ke ke Genkai, but the sharingan can do more except for see chakra flow and see far distances.
Ao likely got the eye from Amado. He was an outer member of Kara after all. Considering all the recent developments with the Boruto series, the eye was from a deceased Otsutsuki that hadn't been sealed. But considering how the Otsutsuki die, the eye would have been removed before death. Also, if reality can be rewritten maybe there are more Otsutsuki members on the planet than previously thought.
Hmm i thought the most protected would be wood style because if anyone knows it has to be turned over to the hidden leaf elders so they can have them trained kinda like yamato and how hiruzen was way passed mad at danzo when he found out that yamato had wood style jutsu and another reason why it's the most protected is hashirama, yamato, and the 10 tails has the ability to use it so its clearly the rarest of all kekkei genkai so easy to protect if almost noone can use it
Ao got it from the 3rd shinobi war. Given the fact that he was able to take it, the Hyuga in question must have been from the main branch. Which makes me think it might have actually been Hiashi & Hizashi's father, as he was probably the only one unsealed at that time, aside from Hiashi.
