I realized that a lot of outdoor videos I watch always have new gear tha’s being reviewed. The thing I love about your channel is that you’re not trying to show us anything to buy… You’re just showing us how to simply ‘be’.?. how to slow down and how to eat well… Thank you so much! Amanda, quick tip on inflating the packrafts: make sure they are firm. You might not be able to get them inflated with enough pressure using only the bag, so you'll have to top off with your mouth or a hand pump. You want them to be firm with no wrinkles. Flick it and you should hear a thump. I noticed they were really low when you picked yours up and put it on shore. Doing that will help with tracking and will feel more stable so you'll have better control. Its really hard to put too much air in, so don't worry about popping them by topping them off with your mouth. Its also good to put them in the cool water for several minutes because the air inside will compress as it cools causing the raft to lose its firmness. Just add more air until its firm again. Floating is a lot of fun. I use mine for fishing and carrying a light weight inflatable is perfect for hiking to a backcountry lake to catch dinner.

If you pull your boat out of the water to hang out on the shore, do you let any air out? Sometimes if I add a lot of air when it's in the water, I get nervous about it when I take it out and leave it in the sun. Thank you for the tips! We have another rafting trip planned soon!

That Raspberry Crumble looked amazing and I could almost smell it. I used to do a lot of Dutch Oven Cooking, but here in AZ it is either to hot or too windy and I gave up. You remind me of a childhood friend that I grew up with back in Tennessee.

We love the Beartooths. We're hoping to take them out on some of those lakes this summer! My boat is from Alpaca Rafts. Nick bought a DIY kit online and made his himself. They're not that heavy. I think mine is just under 4 pounds!

Amanda, we seem to have a small problem. I ordered your e-book iron cook book and paid with a card. I received a statement that I made the payment and the amount was taken out of my bank but no download. It had a "magic" link but nothing happened. Have I been scammed or is there some problem? I await your answer.............for awhile but not forever!!!
