The Most REWARDING Way to Play Escape From Tarkov 

Just seeing another character vault over an object and not jankily jump up and over just lends so much more to the experience in this game.

My group always used to play like this 2-3 years ago but a lot of them fell out of love for the game. Its cool seeing this type of squadplay again. Looking forward to more.

I really like this editing style, the annotations along with live gameplay and comms feels really similar to civ div's channel and his editing style for his IRL combat footage! Really nice homage if so! otherwise very insightful for when I squad into raids.

Been running a large squad that regularly plays as a 5 man for well over a year. We have a kind of playbook developed. What you mentioned at :50 about getting SOPs is a major thing you need to develop. Comms are vital but I believe you already knew that and your comms in video were solid. The best thing you did that takes a lot of practice and trust in a team is the fire and maneuver tactic you did starting at 2:42. The only thing that makes 5 guys more useful than a 2 or 3 man is that you can treat it as a squad with two fireteams. 2 or 3 of you make initial contact, the rest flank immediately. This wins us so many fights. Good job.

I've seen some MAD GOOD clearing of Dorms using team play. That's like SWAT level clearing. Or some kind of Special Ops. And it _worked!_

Super excited for this series. I have a team of solos pushed into squad play and we suck pretty hard. I love learning from your CQB and squad videos. We have picked up so much just with passively listening to your call outs. Thanks for describing in overlay text what the call out means, like "Shift Right" when you guys were at cinema on Streets. Was awesome.

There is a dumb amount of EFT guides out there on RU-vid but honestly there are not many “Team Guides” which sounds like a great video or series to put work into will help a lot of people

It would be sick if someone finally produced a PDF of teamwork tactics for games like EFT and others. That way i could play with my tard friends after making them study the SOPs.

Hey big tip to Karma and everyone else in here. Those random 1 off audio bugs aren't random it actually happens because a player or a scav has entered your 70 feet audio bubble. It only happens if you have binaural audio active. So it is a bit of an immersion breaker but it is a nice warning that there is someone near by.

3:49 you weren't sniped at, its a bug after someone near you fires a ton of shots, or you fire them yourself, you will hear a suppressed shot that you can't identify and it won't impact any ground. Not sure what causes it, just know it happens to me every 5 times I shoot lol

that "audio glitch" at the end was most likely the steam audio bug (feature) where it plays a very loud first step of a guy when he just enters your hearing range. As far as i know it only works with binaural (steam) audio

solos and fill squads are at such a massive disadvantage when others are using third party audio. i now understand why after killing someone their squad immediately knows where i am. that and the fact that i sprint literally everywhere.

We are struggling with our team play in Tarkov. This was great.

The CORRECT way to play tarkov

maybe Im the only one but so many people wanna be the "main character" in these situations, everyone wants to call shots and argue where to go etc. The few I run raids with now work together smoothly but its surprisingly rare from what ive seen/expierenced lmao.

Been loving this wipe so far. As someone who really only gets to play on the weekends, it feels much better to play and I don't feel at a huge disadvantage to people who put like 8+ hours a day into the game, I am still winning gun fights as a Timmy.

I've been playing as a team since alpha and we STILL have problems running together as a team. It may not add to immersion, but I've been saying since the beginning, PLEASE add some sort of Dot or something above team members. For those of us color blind we are at a disadvantage trying to search for an armband. There is nothing realistic about constantly saying "is that you, crouch up and down, raise your rifle in the air."

Team guides would be so helpful. I am trying to get better at Squad Leading in Tarkov and I could really use some tips lol

The hardest part about team playing must be to find people that aren't dumb, have high stress toloration to give good comms and have the same landmark references.

I played 2000 hours solo. Then I played 2500 as a 2-3 man. It's strange how two people can be so in sync with each other when you play that much. We eventually didn't even need to communicate what we were doing, we were so used to it. Every now and again that would backfire though. It was just incredible how much more you could bait and flush out people with two guys. One pulls a nade, the other covers. Sometimes on hearing a nade people rush and it's a fairly easy kill. There's so many ways it's beneficial to have two people. Even for recognising if you got killed by cheats.

Karma, any chance you can take part in One Life Squad events again? I loved watching those videos and finally got a PC capable or running Squad. Would love to see you there!

What I like about EFT know is the recoil than 1.35 since i join very late and watching my fav streamer going back to it was really fun on this new update 1.4 best for me i only been playing for 2 months

i think now they made the recoil and handling so forgiving, they could tune it slightly back down, from what iv seen so far moving and shooting or aiming is really easy, there still needs to be incentive to be still to line up shots, everything is strafing or coming out of a full on sprint into an ADS right now, call of duty-ish

So good to see you back making tarkov content man! I was inspired to purchase the game back in 2021 because of your tarkov series. Crazy how the game felt so different just watching and actually playing it, I now have about 1.7k hours across 4 wipes and counting! As a side note, my fav way to run a squad is maybe 3-4 really competent solo-capable players that can split up reasonably far and control the map covering each other as we go.

A 3 man seems to be the sweet spot, 2 semi experianced or vets and a novice so ypu get good coms but the jumpy player who has no idea whats happening or who to shoot. 😂 I love that "is this you!!!" From a new player or the desk pop because you scared him.

I'm hoping we can get a 5er going well this wipe. It'll be even easier if they bring Arena Radios to Tarkov for special slots. Would love to split into two teams on 2 separate discord channels and relay positions on the on-game radio without having to use TeamSpeak and Disc at the same time.

I always play Tarkov solo, but man at the end of last wipe I joined up with some other guys from a discord server and we spent a night playing together: had the coolest Tarkov raid of my life-- Streets, night, running NVGs. Nothing super crazy about it, but we did get into at least one solid fight vs another squad, and the whole thing just felt so different from the usual Tarkov experience. We actually had surprisingly good communication for basically a group of randoms. Squads can be fun.

As he grew up I played games with my son, and because he was a Charge right in kind of player I played as a kind of mid distance over watch. When I watch people play Tarkov I keep seeing where that person is missing in groups. Or so I think.

This wipe my group and I have switched our playstyles and spend most of the raid moving at about 30% speed vs. shift w'ing to the good stuff and it's really paying off. Most of us are getting out with over a 70% survival rating and getting the jump on most players we run into. The slower movement is really paying off. I don't have enough fingers to count how often an opposing solo, duo, or trio sprinted right around a corner, only to be met by us and our concentrated automatic fire. Running is so loud with the snow that we decided we needed to flip the script. The only time I run now is when I need to get distance and displacement, break line of sight, and flanks.

Yes ! Excellent. This is the exact kind of Tarkov content I want to see from this channel. The MilSim community (at least the type Karmakut plays with) already have the gaming culture to successfully approach this game in a serious manner. Tarkov is one of the most challenging shooters ever made. Serious coordination and tactics make for the most entertaining content possible.

No thanks, 4-5 is too many…your squad is half the lobby on most maps. IMO this play style would be cool with 3 max. Good job though descending on and crushing timmies…as that’s the majority of the player base. They need bigger maps and more players per server for this to be a viable (respected) play style.

That ending was rough but even that should show people how to avoid bad situations like that. Perfect cover/concealment 3ft away at the containers to your left. One covers the other side of the road from the corner, another covers the left from behind the containers while the other two cross and set up. Could have had a great hardpoint and reduced your own target size and enemy's visibility on you. Instead, caught basically standing in the open and leaning for no reason.

Why are you randomly moving back and fourth when you were fixing the guy for your friends to flank just lay down and suppress him

Everyone sucks at playing squads so much that 4-5 stacking is always a disadvantage. Guides would be great!
